The main disadvantage is that Quotewerks must run locally. However tere is a web version being developed, yet it is still really green. This software integrates nicely with Connectwise. I like being able to create the opportunity in Connectwise through Quotewerks. This saves me some time. This had a pricing model that worked better for us that the other options. This software has some basic functionalities and is pretty easy to learn. If you want to put together a basic proposal for a customer to see a price estimate, than this is the right software. It is easy to get the hang of and even young people at the company seemed to be able to use this proficiently in a matter of a week or two. Customer support is pretty available for this. While our product did not have many complexities, others may have more complex quoting needs and therefore you would want to invest in a different software. If you have a more complex product then you will want to invest in something more capable than this. It's pretty quick, and customizeable, I can easily type in customer PO's in the ship to lines if needed (so when they receive product the customer knows what PO the product is for. This is well over some home brew systems that force you to create a whole new ship, staying in a database forever. Imagine a customer with 200 orders and having 200 ship to's forever in a database. I don't dislike it, because I learned something, using API to connect Google Contacts to Quotewerks wasn't hard after I learned how to process it.
