"Highly Customizable, Seamlessly Integrated"
5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I like NetSuite's high customizability and flexibility in its design, making it a very dynamic tool that can tailor to our needs. The SuiteScript capability is particularly valuable as it allows us to write scripts to automate processes and workflows, enabling us to meet our business objectives succinctly. Also, the integration with VersaPay helps us automate a lot of our inbound customer payment processing, which I find beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

I think the only area that could be improved is the documentation's searchability. We use LLM-based AI tools (Claude) to better understand NetSuite's full capabilities and build our customizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful ERP with Customizable Solutions, Needs Better Intercompany Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I use NetSuite as our central ERP and "source of truth," and it's really useful having all that functionality for a mid-size ERP. The advanced purchasing, accounting, and advanced manufacturing modules are fantastic. I like how NetSuite One World helps with our Order-To-Cash process, capturing revenue and cost accurately across different businesses in our acquisition style operation. What I really appreciate are the customizable forms and workflows along with ad hoc reporting, all of which speed up and smooth our business operations, allowing us to capture and report on the critical data we need. I also find it useful how we can track the work our engineers do directly on the sales order form and use a drop down for job statuses to gather performance metrics, which are then displayed in custom dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Intercompany transactions are pretty lacking. For instance, I can't create a work order from an intercompany order, making moving orders around time intensive and frustrating. When we create manual work orders for these orders, there's no seeded way to track them, so we have to add more custom fields and reports. Our implementation was a disaster. I was brought in almost 2 years after the fact to try to fix it. There was no data cleansing, configurations were left half-finished. Our previous leadership wasn't as involved as they could have been in the implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customizable Dashboard and Powerful Search in an All-in-One Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I appreciate how customizable the homepage dashboard is and that I can access my most frequently used tools right from there. The search bar is also very flexible, which lets me quickly look up just about anything I need. It’s also nice that it includes accounting, CRM, and inventory all in one place, so there isn’t a lot of integration work to do.

Also, the automatic major updates are great, since you don’t have to manually install upgrades or risk getting stuck on a legacy, unsupported software version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

When I was waiting for access permission, I could only find third-party training materials for NetSuite while I waited. It would have been nice to have more official user tutorials accessible, that's not just limited to users who have permission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

We explored NetSuite TImekeeping and Payroll system, compared to other payroll platform it wasn't user friendly and was limited to customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Billing and Collections with Custom Reports"
4/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I really like NetSuite's capability to streamline all our billing and collections tasks in one centralized system. It helps me efficiently manage invoice approvals and corrections while easily tracking deliveries. The interface is simple and feels like working with Excel, making invoice corrections straightforward. Additionally, NetSuite's ability to generate and run reports directly from the system is a feature I appreciate, especially since I can create custom reports as needed. However, I still need to learn more about that. Lastly, NetSuite simplifies sending automated communications like dunning notices to clients regarding outstanding receivables, and recording our collections efforts directly in the system is a great advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

The ability to create custom dashboards is still a mystery to us. We are still creating reports outside of NetSuite to generate dashboards for KPI progress. It would be great if we could figure out how to use simple, easy-to-use dashboards directly on our home pages so that information is available to us in real time. "Powerful All-in-One Reporting and Inventory, but Complex and Costly to Implement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

NetSuite has been an invaluable platform for centralizing our business operations across inventory, accounting, and reporting. What stands out most is the depth and accuracy of the real-time reporting, which gives us a complete financial picture at any given moment without having to pull data from multiple disconnected systems. The inventory management capabilities are particularly strong, allowing us to track stock levels, manage purchase orders, and forecast demand in a way that keeps our operations running efficiently. Having accounting, inventory, and reporting all living in one platform has eliminated a significant amount of manual reconciliation and data entry that used to create errors and slow down our close process. The customization options for dashboards and reports also mean we can surface exactly the metrics that matter most to our team without wading through irrelevant data. For a business operating across ecommerce and multiple channels, having NetSuite as the financial and operational backbone gives us the confidence that our numbers are accurate and up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

NetSuite's biggest drawback is the complexity and cost of implementation and customization. Out of the box it requires significant configuration to fit your specific business needs, and that almost always means relying on either internal technical resources or expensive outside consultants to get it set up properly. The user interface, while functional, feels dated compared to more modern platforms and can be unintuitive for new users, which makes onboarding and training more time consuming than it should be. Reporting is powerful but building custom reports can be cumbersome and often requires more technical knowledge than the average user has. The licensing and add-on cost structure can also be difficult to predict as the business grows, since many features that feel essential are gated behind additional modules. These friction points are manageable given the overall value NetSuite provides, but they are real enough that they add to the total cost of ownership beyond just the subscription fee. "Saved Searches Make Scheduling and Sales Order Tracking Effortless"
4/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I am a big fan of using saved searches to provide insights for scheduling and keeping track of sales orders. Additionally the ability to filter and highlight certain information allows for users to more efficiently see the priority orders to be worked on or checked up on with the warehouse and customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

While Saved Searches have been great, I'm less enthused with the report functions as in my experience they can be flawed easily with misinterpreted data and are harder to alter quickly for results that show meaningful data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetSuite Streamlined Our Purchasing and Inventory Workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

NetSuite offers a wide range of valuable features that have significantly improved our operations. Since transitioning to this software about five years ago, the experience has been highly positive. In my role within purchasing and inventory management, the system has greatly streamlined my workflow for example, having real-time access to inventory levels and purchasing data allows me to make faster, more accurate decisions without switching between multiple tools. Additionally, the centralized dashboard and automated processes reduce manual data entry and save me several hours each week, enabling me to focus on more strategic tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Certain processes, like generating reports or running searches, can be slower than ideal, particularly with large datasets. These challenges don’t outweigh the benefits, but they can impact efficiency in day-to-day use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and Integrative, But Complex Setup for Mid-Sized Businesses"
4/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I like how flexible NetSuite is and how you can interact with it. It's getting easier and easier to connect it with other platforms, whether out of the box or paid services, or using the AI models. We have been able to connect different ways, like an Apple Shopify connection with third party Selena, Floj connecting our POS Square, and using ShipStation for generating labels, all done by CSV. That's the flexibility of those with some of the tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Some of the modules seem like they were an afterthought or built in, which isn't great. The language and safe search features aren't always clear, and there are limitations in setup that just aren't obvious. This kind of hidden knowledge is frustrating. Knowing that NetSuite is primarily a general ledger would have been helpful and saved us time. The initial setup was really challenging because we didn't have any on-site IT experts, and the consultants weren't much help. We had to manually handle a lot of processes, which was tedious. Also, moving to a web store with a user-friendly interface was harder than we thought, so we ended up using Shopify instead of SuiteCommerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Timesheet Management Efficiently"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I like NetSuite for its ability to log hours for different projects and automatically feed that data into payroll calculations, which helps in creating billable invoices for clients. I also appreciate that it has different blocks for each project, allowing me to log hours for specific tasks. It's pretty easy to set up and I've been using it from the start for filing timesheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Sometimes when you have submitted the timesheet but later when you have to make changes, you have to retract it, and that sometimes becomes confusing - the logging of new hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
