# Which eDiscovery tools are clear about what their AI features cost rather than leaving it to the quote?

Hi G2 reviewers, which eDiscovery tools are clear about AI pricing up front? Worth separating when you compare:

Whether AI review sits in the base platform or is priced separately

Whether it is charged per document, per gigabyte or per matter

What happens to cost when modern data sources such as chat and collaboration tools enter the set

Whether processing and hosting are billed on the same basis

AI features in this category are well reviewed. What is harder to find before a call is what they cost, and whether that cost scales with data volume or sits inside the licence. Three where G2 reviewers describe active AI use:

Everlaw has reviewers using it well beyond traditional review, including bulk redactions and document summarisation, with partners noting clients respond well to the AI features. Some of the same reviewers say they still hear that other platforms come in cheaper.

Relativity is credited with cutting cost and time on the review side, and reviewers want the same automation extended into admin work such as permissions and processing.

DISCO Platform sits alongside them in this category with a strong rating from legal teams.

I’d love to see this compared using an actual matter rather than the headline pricing model. For Everlaw, Relativity, or DISCO users, which AI-related charges were hardest to anticipate once document volume grew? Processing, hosting, AI review, reprocessing, and modern data sources can all scale differently, so what ultimately caused the biggest gap between the original quote and the final matter cost?
