  ### 2. Very logical and user friendly user interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kristen e. | user experience specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

This is a great tool for simple a/b and mab test set ups. Easy to implement custom tests with specific segments and audiences. The results are easy to read and I particularly like the estimation of visitors needed to reach significance. This allows us to plan for longer test periods or consider alternate tests.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Sometimes experiencing flashing issues. Also experience issues sometimes as the preview tool does not work unless incognito mode.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A/B testing is integral to ensuring our wireframes and content selections on site are commercially viable

  ### 3. Leaders in Experimentation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The top features are the customizable personalized UX with a strong marketing funnel approach (segmentation & targeting) that is extremely useful in producing what's asked for each customer. Also, the website performance focussed A/B testing keeps our organization more consistent with drastically changing the relative content for the better live as they come. Another aspect is the depth of analytics and insights dashboards/associated tools which keep us on track with KYU (know your user).

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The glaringly obvious downside is the pricey system especially when looking at it side by side with competitor software performing the same purposes. When asking senior management for approval, we always find it hard to sell the uniqueness or features of the platform in comparison to prove the need for exceeding our budgets.
It is also not the most user friendly platform for new users to intutitively pick up when exposed. You need to have used such systems before to have knowledge to get familar at a resonable pace. The compatability with our internal software is also challenging causing a lot of time and effort to be expended.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase in KPI metrics reflecting increased website sales, and added to it the data-driven approach which clearly helps us distinguish the pros and cons of what works for our product, and what isn't, is key. And like mentioned in the previous question, the marketing funnel approach of segmentation & targeting has immensely laid out different customer groups which makes it straightforward to understand and give them what we think they'd appreciate.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

With Optimizely Web Experimentation anything is on the table to test. The platform is the most powerful testing and test analysis platform I have worked with in my career. Features like Project JavaScript have allowed for full customization of my experiments and have allowed me to filter out users who shouldn't see our tests. The Optimizely solutions team has been great at creating custom solutions when I have been limited.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The metrics, while powerful in what they can report, can be hard to read and understand sometimes. Some tests reach significance way faster than expected while some never do, even though third party significance calculators say otherwise.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely is allowing me to test layout changes and feature changes to my website before rolling them out to 100% of traffic. This allows me to be confident in my changes.

It was user friendly and real-time results were there

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Nothing as such just UX can be improved just abit

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data-Driven Decision Making
Problem: Many businesses rely on intuition or outdated data to make changes to their websites, leading to decisions that may not improve user experience or conversion rates.
Solution: Optimizely provides a structured way to test hypotheses through A/B testing, multivariate testing, and personalization. It enables you to make decisions based on real user data rather than guesswork.

  ### 11. Optimizely enables teams to easily run A/B experiments

Client-side A/B testing is still a performance nightmare, no matter how many optimizations Optimizely makes.

Being able to allow marketers to run short, but effective A/B tests and personalization campaigns.

  ### 12. Good tool to manage our experimenta

Solving the main aim meaning doing ab testing and being able to conclude with high confidence

  ### 13. Friendly application, easy to use and self intuitive interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The 'Extension' feature, where you can build a feature once and re-use across multiple experiences

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

That we have two environments per domain and we still need to rebuild a test from scratch when we move from 'staging' project to 'production' environment.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the applicaiton mainly so far to throttle new features we are planning to roll out to all our users. Throttling users by 20% and slowly growing to 70% before complete roll out. Examples would be webpage layouts, webchat services, complaint forms.

  ### 14. I use them in the Dazn Player app

It helps our team select the different features in the different countries

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It's pretty straight forward to use and can be used in a couple different ways that make it very useful for general marketing purposes.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It's a bit slow and sometimes creates code conflicts with react based sites

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of how do you know if your web marketing direction is better than going a different direction

  ### 16. Great product, always improving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The interface is clear and really easy to use. But what I really like is that there is a very good support network that can be called upon when needed.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The only thing that springs to mind is a feature that can stop a test automaticaly when statistical significance is reached.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to test changes before putting live saving us time and money. It also allows us to make quick hot fixes to react to immediate issues that would normally take weeks to change online. Instead providing a solution in hours.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Optimizely has become a very intuitive platform! Since I began using the platform in 2018, it has increasingly improved and now offers many awesome features.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The only update I would love to see is better analytics options. I know the platform is not to be as data-heavy as something like Tableau, but eve a UX refresh for faster snapshots would be nice

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely allows me to quickly test and analyze user-facing experiences and gauge how customers respond to hypotheses driven by Product. I also use it to quickly roll out a feature once we know it was a winner.

  ### 21. Optimizely Web Experimentation review.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paras R. | Software Tester, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Because of how simple it is to use, integrate, and implement,Optimizely Web Experimentation is a useful tool in my opinion. A/B and multi-variant tests can be quickly set up an drun by anyone, even without extensive coding experience, thanks to the user-friendly interface. With little coding knowledge, any web page can incorporate the Java Script snippet with ease.Furthermore,Optimizely easily integrates with a variety of analytics platforms, simplifying the tracking and analysis of test results. I can verify and optimize website functionality and user experience with Optimizely Web Experimentation's powerful combination of user-friendliness,efficient implementation, and seamless integration.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The fact that Optimizely Web Experimentation doesn't have extensive server-side testing capabilities annoy me the most. Despite its superiority in client- side experimentation, the platform is not flexible enough or has enough powerful features to support extensive server-side testing. This leads to significant increases in testing complexity and decreases in efficiency due to the need for additional tools or complex workarounds. In addition ,the interface may be confusing and cluttered, making it difficult to find certain settings and features. This can cause confusion and frustration in addition to slowing down the testing process. Furthermore, customer support response times frequently fall short of expectations, which make it difficult for testers to address problems and causes delays in project deadlines.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For my workflow , Optimizely Web experimentation has been revolutionary.Website updates in the past frequently depended on conjecture and intuition .I can test various iterations of a website using Optimizely and track how they affect important metrics like revenue and conversion rate.By using a data-driven approach,I can identify changes that will genuinely enhance user experience and business outcomes without having to rely on guesswork.
I can easily create and manage experiments with Optimizely's user-friendly interface, which makes it simple for me to test several variations quickly and effectively.Compared to conventional testing techniques, which frequently entail manual configuration and coding, this is a major improvement.
It is a useful tool that has made a big difference in my testing process and enabled me to contribute to my projects more effectively.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The capacity to review performance improvement over time. This aspect has allowed us to optimise on pages that produce low levels of traffic. Whilst previously we may have waited several months to clarify whether its a statistical significant result, we can now take a differentiated view and see if test was better than control for a certain number of consecutive days. This, along with several similar features, have allowed us to do more in an optimisation capacity than would otherwise have been achievable.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I like it because it is very easy to use with a fairly simple interface to handle, the options for analysis and reports are very complete, the visual editor is definitely a tool that I love to use, the customization options are very complete because I can create designs of messages or offers to customers of our company, the area of segmentation by behavior is very well-developed and can have a better support-customer interaction, and its statistical engine is really robust and enjoyable. I can run several experiments at the same time using the group area. Furthermore, I also consider that it is a very updated tool, being able to integrate it with dynamic websites. I can also make our developers, including me, participate in the action with codes that we write and customize; it is certainly an exquisite tool.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I would like a better integration with Adobe Analytics, one or another error with user IDs, and several problems if your web browser is not up-to-date. I had some conflicts when I started it on a version of the Opera browser; it also requires a high data rate. Some time ago, I also had problems importing data to an Amazon S3 repository. This was quite annoying at the time, but I managed to solve it.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With this service, we have managed to optimize our website very quickly, improving the user experience when using our page. Thanks to A/B testing, we managed to gather enough data to make better decisions when developing our commercial website. Our marketing team has also benefited a lot by implementing this service; in fact, they can interact with users without having knowledge of web development. We have also improved our performance in product management, which I consider essential, especially to detect errors. We have managed to set up many quality tests for execution, integrate with other programs we use, and achieve a more complete impact on our customers.

  ### 28. Optimizely Web Experimentation Enhancing Digital Experiences.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksei k. | Senior Application Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It anables me to carry out a variety of tests or experiments to assess or obtain an understanding of how the client will experience browsing the website enabling me to enhance it.
The intuitive interface makes it easy to set up experiment , create a variation and define goals, without need for in depth technical knowldge.
It support a number of experimentation techniques including A/B testing , multicariate testing and personalisation.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Since rates and costs have not been adequately regulated , the subscription process needs to be improved.
Depending on B2B company we are intercating with, I have discovered that the customer servuce team's response varies.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main advantage for me and my team si the capacity to recognise and test modifications to client website that can increase conversion rates.
We can test various pricing structures call to action buttons, and landing pages, for instance to determine which ones leads to the most conversions.
We occasionally used A/B testing to assess new prototype prior to production development.
It saves our time as we can now quickly create, launch and track experiments.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

  ### 29. A solid experimentation tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Clean UI made it easy to navigate and explore the app. I appreciate the detailed documentation available for users so if I have any queries, I can always consult guides, walkthroughs, or detailed feature pages.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

We found the Metrics Builder is not as flexible as other tools. It is tightly coupled with the experimentation flow and is opinionated and does not allow free-form SQL. This could limit the types of metrics and analyses that can be performed. I've also heard from others on the team that integrating optimizely into their code caused pages to load slower and impacted SEO scores.
Our last exploration of the tool also shows the primary metric does not account for other metrics used and doesn't correct for multiple testing.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely was a candidate we were exploring when looking at potential A/B testing suites for internal developer use.

  ### 30. Intuitive tool with great customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yakkaluru G. | Director - Products, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The platform interface is very convenient & makes it easy to for the implementation. Analysis, A/B Tests, Campaigns & many other features makes the tool a complete fit for our business. Support has been available anytime & they resolved our queries timely.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The first time integration has taken a long time compared to other optimizely tools. In the recent times, we've encountered many issues while setting up the messaging campaigns, thus making it less frequency of usage. Unable to import from S3 bucket.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are a B2C Fintech platform, we often test out the waters in different regions and with Optimizely we are able to target wide audience. Able to get the insights with multiple tests available.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Yakkaluru,
We also appreciate you leaving a review for Optimizely Web Experimentation! It's great to get an overview on your experience with each of our products you use. If you haven't already, please make sure to share any issues you've been having with your Customer Success Manager or our support team so they can help you sort things out!

  ### 31. Great user friendly interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The desktop application is amazing, works just like the Web app

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Some of the complexities behind targeting

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us see where clients can improve on their website to enable them to get better CTR

  ### 32. Suite of excellent features for web optimization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prasanth G. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

1. Best A/B Experimentation tool in the market. Helped us evaluate the hero banner clicks.
2. Data accuracy of Optimizely helps us to rely on this platform highly.
3. Easy to edit the variations that are in the scope using a visual editor

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

1. Again, it claims to be a low/no-code tool. Indeed it's not as even for a small change I need developer support.
2. Walkthrough of the platform & documentation is not easy to understand. It can be improved.
3. WYSIWYG has very little to take away, while the time it took for us to integrate is enormous.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Optimizely Web to change the hero title of our newly launched payments platform. We weren't sure about the positioning, and that is when A/B tests via Optimizely helped us figure the right attention-grabbing lines.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Prasanth,
Thanks for also leaving us a review on Optimizely Web Experimentation! It's great to hear that you're highly satisfied with multiple tools within our Digital Experience Platform. As I shared on my other responses, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share your detailed feedback on how we could improve your user experience directly with your Customer Success Manager. You can also leave us a message with any questions or concerns at reviews@optimizely.com. Thank you.

  ### 33. ODP is a really powerful tool that has some usability issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

* It's really quick and easy to track custom profile and event attributes and data fields.
* Funnels are a powerful tool to visualize user journeys (but can be slow to render).
* Event inspector is a really helpful troubleshooting tool. It would be nice to add a filter field in the UI. If there's lot of data streaming through, it's hard to find the relevant events against the noise.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

* Reports: Not having data fields being context-aware of the event actions they are associated with. I've been trying to create reports showing related combined user activities by segment. But it isn't easy to join different event actions in one report. For example, I was trying to create a report of sum form submits by video completions percentage, but that kind of join isn't possible because you can't show one row containing two different event types in a report.
* Filters: Creating multiple wildcard exclusions is not easy because they can't be added to one filter rule list since they cancel each other out. Also, having to exclude internal employees in all filters is labor intensive. It would be nice to have global account-level filter settings to exclude tracking from a list of domains or companies.
* Using custom objects to track meta data instead of creating data fields in events is difficult. It's not clear how to make a foreign key relationship between events and objects. It's not clear how to join objects and events together in Reports.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our client's marketing team wants to understand their customer segments and behaviors using their platforms so they can more accurately target and market to them.

  ### 34. Easy to use and understand

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The product is intuitive and its easy to use and easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The filtering of experiements is painful and go on resetting! This should be a simple fix!!

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely makes it a lot easier for us to run simpler web experiments and get data from the experiment in an easy to use analysis

  ### 35. Very useful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ximena Q. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I like that it allows me to run multiple tests or experiments to rate or get an idea of how the experience will be for the client to surf through our website, and so be able to improve it.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I don't have a specific thing I wouldn't say I dislike because it is helpful in my personal experience. Maybe one of the things I can mention about the subject is that it isn't very intuitive for new users.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The thing that mainly benefits my team is that it helps us evaluate the interaction of the customers with the web by running tests and experiments with multiple variables.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Ximena,
Thanks for taking the time to leave Optimizely Web Experimentation a review! We're happy to hear that our product is supporting your experimentation journey. Please let your Customer Success Manager know if you or your team ever need any additional support with our product. You can also leave us any questions or concerns at reviews@optimizely.com. Thank you.

  ### 36. Optimizely is the tool we needed 10 years ago

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neeraj P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Trying out new things is really important for our business to grow. It's like the heartbeat of our company! Optimizely has played a big role in helping us do experiments in a more organised and focused way, which has helped our business to grow even more.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Mainly documentation. Some users have expressed concerns about the quality and availability of customer support, as well as the comprehensiveness of the documentation provided.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A/B testing allows us to make decisions based on objective data rather than relying on assumptions or guesswork. By testing different versions of a webpage, email, or advertisement, we can collect data on user behavior and preferences to make informed choices

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Neeraj,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate it! We're happy that Optimizely Web Experimentation has been successful in helping to build your company's culture of experimentation. Surrounding your feedback on our documentation, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share this with your CSM so we can work on ways to improve your experience. Thank you.

  ### 37. Optimizely is very easy to understand which makes it user friendly.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Creating global metrics based on the pages.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Segmentation part is bit complecated to understand.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think they are working how fast they can load the data in report.

  ### 38. Great product with good support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denny K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Easy use, intuitive UI, and strong support (mostly) make Optimizely Web (including Performance Edge) an excellent product for anyone needing a powerful experimentation tool to conduct A/B testing and build a culture of experimentation. Optimizely also has a wealth of libraries plus a strong community where you can quickly find support for any implementation or integration issues.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Price and support can sometimes be lacking depending on your account team. I use Optimiely on and off for the last 10+ years. I found that depending on the company, they might treat you differently. But that is also true for all B2B companies.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conduct A/B testing quickly and also occasionally using it to test new prototypes before production development

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Denny,
Thanks for leaving Optimizely Web Experimentation a review! It's great to hear that our product has helped your business build a culture of experimentation. If you have any questions or concerns, your Customer Success Manager is the best person to help you resolve them or you can leave us a message at reviews@optimizely.com at any time! Thank you.

  ### 39. Very intuitive application for testing application

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viral P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Overall, Optimizely Web Experimentation provides a comprehensive suite of tools and features for businesses to conduct experiments, analyze data, and optimize their websites or web applications. It empowers teams to make data-driven decisions and improve user experiences, ultimately driving better business outcomes.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Platform stability and updates: As with any software platform, there can be occasional issues related to platform stability, bugs, or updates. While Optimizely strives to provide a reliable and up-to-date experience, users may encounter occasional challenges or disruptions.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of data-driven decision-making, Inefficient or ineffective optimization, Limited understanding of user behavior, Increased customer segmentation and personalization

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Viral,
Thanks for leaving us a review. We're happy to hear that Optimizely Web Experimentation is ultimately driving better business outcomes for your organization. If there's ever any way we can provide support to your team or answer any questions, please let your CSM know or you can leave us a message at reviews@optimizely.com.

  ### 40. Useful tool for ecommerce, however has limitations when working on more specific use cases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olya M. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Self-service is the most important for me as a Product Manager. I need minimal support from the engineering team to launch and monitor experiments.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It's not enough for me to target a specific page as users who open this page may have different properties. I need much more focused targetting, otherwise, there's so much noise that I have to go into Looker and Mixpanel to slice the data.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to evaluate the value of the changes we introduce, and also derisk these changes.
I need the result to be reliable, statistically significant, and clearly proven in trends.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Olya,
Thanks for leaving us a review! It would be much appreciated if you could share your product feedback with your Customer Success Manager so they can pass it on to our product team. We want to continue improving our products to make for a great user experience for every customer. You can also contact us at reviews@optimizely.com with any questions or feedback.

  ### 41. great tool for elevating digital experiences and conversion rates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It scales according to the nead, you can create personalization for different user segments easily.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

it could get expensive for small startups and there is a learning curve for for new users on stuff like A/B testing.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

increase on low conversion rates and scaling on personalization.

  ### 42. Experimentation with a powerful stats engine

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy G. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The setup was intuitive and allowed us to experiment on our website quickly. The built-in web editor has enabled even non-developers to get an experiment up and running.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Our web-based platform utilizes Gatsby and we would like to see tighter compatibility with that tech stack. This does require a developer to be involved in 100% of all experiments run on that part of our tech stack.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely Web Experimentation is allowing us to create AB tests across our web properties so that we can continue to optimize our user experience based on data from our actual web visitors.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Amy,
Thanks for your review! We're happy to hear that you're finding success with Optimizely Web Experimentation. Please feel free to share any product feedback with your Customer Success Manager and they will pass it on to our Product Team, or you can leave us a message at reviews@optimizely.com.

  ### 43. Great features. Thorough testing.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Instant, simple testing for web content.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Need a good foundation in similar systems to use full potential.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlines the process for setting up A/B testing and delivers clean report on test results to drive updates and refreshes of content.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Kevin,
Thanks for leaving us a review! We greatly appreciate it. If you ever have any questions or more feedback on how we could improve your user experience, please don't hesitate to let your CSM know. You can also reach us at reviews@optimizely.com at any time. Thank you.

  ### 44. Great for A/B Testing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

These guys have been at it for a while now. They know how to make it easy to access the results you're looking for.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It's a bit pricey for mine. But if it gives you the insights you're looking for then it's a sound investment.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimezely is excellent for helping to identify the best landing page(s) for a website.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi There,
Thanks for leaving us a review on Optimizely Web Experimentation! We're happy to hear that our tool has been working well for you and your company. Please let your Customer Success Manager know if there's ever any way in which we can improve your user experience. You can also message us with any questions or concerns at reviews@optimizely.com.

  ### 45. Overall User Friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Associate Product Manager, Front End, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

What I like best about the Optimizely platform is the ease of editing the variations to test in the visual editor. It makes it possible to run tests for those of us who do not have extensive coding knowledge. The support team was also very helpful in providing updates and answers to any questions about setting up experiences.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The downside for our company was that we would run a test that was more complex than the visual editor would allow therefore needing development resources that we did not have available for testing. We felt like we could get low-hanging fruit wins, but were not able to get the big wins without coding. I would also have liked more support from our Customer Success Manager. We have had a couple since joining the platform, and they don't provide much benefit in the meetings. It would be nice to feel like we have an Optimizely expert partner, but a lot of the time I feel as if I understand the platform better than the rep.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Optimizely to run pretty simple A/B experiements. All testing has ideated and been executed by the Product Management team, therefore not having to implement development time to get testing wins. We have seen some pretty dramatic test wins by using this platform. For example, we tested billboard messaging vs. product messaging and got an exciting win that then pivoted our marketing stratgies.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Alex,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful response, we really appreciate your insights! We're sorry to hear you had some issues with the platform and customer support. Please feel free to share more on your mishaps with us by sending a message to reviews@optimizely.com and we'll connect you with the right people.

  ### 46. A/B Testing Optimizely User

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It makes it so easy to scale our experimentation program velocity, all while freeing up our engineering team's bandwidth and providing easy to read A/B test results

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Sometimes there's a tiny lag between the control and the new variant's design - it's very minor, but can look a little off to users. I don't think it's meaningfully impacted results.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the need to launch and learn from A/B tests, it helps us set easy redirect tests too (for marketing / landing page tests), and it ensures we have a central place to look at results.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi There,
Thanks for your review! We love to hear that Web Experimentation is helping to grow your businesses' experimentation program with efficiency. We would greatly appreciate if you could share any issues you're observing with our service team or your Customer Success Manager so we can correct those for you as soon as possible. If you ever have any more feedback, you can also leave us a message at reviews@optimizely.com and we'll connect you with the right people.

  ### 47. Audience Segmentation and very Intuitive Optimization Tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego G. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The A/B Testing ability with Optimizely Web Experimentation is perfect.

This tool allows easy innovation acceleration.

Effective integration with Wordpress Page Builder.

Nice WYSIWYG editor functionalities.

Excellent personalization.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Optimizely Web Experimentation was easy to implement on my initial point of using the platform and the performance is good and no dislike at all.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating reliable reports is quick.

Impressive segmentation solution.

Great for easy personalization.

Effective configuration management system.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Diego,
Thanks for your review! We appreciate your feedback. We're happy to hear Optimizely Web Experimentation is working so well for you and your business. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Manager with any feedback or you can reach us at reviews@optimizely.com.

  ### 48. Very practical, useful and flexible tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Everson S. | System Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Flexibility and useful analysis of the adoption of the features that we are planning to have in our solution. We are using the audience to measure the success of the features. As far as I could investigate there are no other tool able to provide the features from optimizely

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I couldn't find something to hate so far. One thing that could be more easy to understand is why some of the toggles are disabled and how it is possible to enable them.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I described before we are using the flags control to deliver some features for some users and it is giving us a clear view of the response from these users.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Everson,
Thanks for leaving us a review! We love to see that you're getting so much out of our Web Experimentation product. If you ever have any questions or concerns, such as your feedback on the toggles, please make sure to share them with your Customer Success Manager. It's our goal to continuously improve user experience on our platform. You can also always leave us a message at reviews@optimizely.com and we'll connect you with the right people.

  ### 49. The Rolls-Royce of Web Experimentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devin P. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Optimizely makes web experimentation easy to implement while remaining extremely powerful if you need it to be. The point-and-click web editor makes setting up quick copy A/B tests easy for even non-technical users to do, while the ability to add custom CSS and Javascript allow you to do just about anything you want. Setting up event/conversion tracking is easy to do. The ability to share links to preview and test individual A/B tests before they're published, as well as being able to share links to the test result pages without needing users to log in makes keeping stakeholders involved in how a test is doing easy. When I moved to a new company, I advocated for the acquisition of Optimizely for A/B testing right away. The choice was simple.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I really don't have many dislikes of Optimizely's product. It has never failed me, and I have not run into any major technical issues that have limited me from running a test. However, I will say that their offering is not the cheapest. I really do think the saying, "You get what you pay for" comes into play here. Optimizely shines compared to the alternatives.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

If you have basic needs, Optimizely might be overkill for you, especially given the price point. However, if you want to run a lot of tests, track a lot of different metrics, with an easy to use editor that just about anyone can use, get a demo of Optimizely. Your web development team will love it too.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely makes it dead simple to know if something is working or not on our website. Instead of doing a pre-post analysis for every change we make, we can run everything, big or small, as a test and make decisions with confidence. This means we can increase conversion rates faster since we can know quickly if a change we've made isn't performing as well as we hoped, or vice versa. This leads to higher conversion rates, faster.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi Devin,
Wow! It's so great to hear that you're finding success with Web Experimentation. We want to continue providing you with a great user experience, so please feel free to reach out to your customer success manager with any feedback or questions. You can also reach us at reviews@optimizely.com and we'll connect you with the right people.
Thank you.

  ### 50. Optimizely makes AB testing easy and effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The User interface is extremely user friendly and easy to use. It also helps collaborators contribute. Customer support is great too.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The reporting tools are somewhat one dimensional and could be easier to share results with stakeholders and management.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing what design decisions will be most well received by customers and finding the right message to get prospects through the sales funnel.

**Official Response from Emma Davis:**

> Hi There,
Thanks for leaving us a review! We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you're highly satisfied with Optimizely Web Experimentation and our customer support.
