Honestly, I wish I had never purchased this product. It use to have this easy-to-use drag and drop feature that no longer is available - I did not know when purchasing it. It was not like this in previous iterations. I also dislike how the SVP of N. American Sales treated me - not willing to field my calls or concerns when I reached out to them. It's this kind of poor leadership that has taken this company in a different direction than I had previously experienced. Terrible product and a terrible team. What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation? $66,000 outlay for a product that doesn't have the features we even asked for from the beginning. They are not upfront with pricing, so BEWARE! The base product which is the A/B testing tool is minimum AUD $40,000 PER YEAR. VWO is approx. $10,000 per year and does EXACTLY the same thing as Optimizely's base product. Their training hours are just a money grab, do not purchase! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation: Please don't use this company. If you do use the company, be 100% aware of what you're paying for. If you only need an A/B testing tool, there are cheaper products out there that do the job just as well. Their training people are good, at least the one guy that we dealt with, but they ripped us off with how many support hours they charged us anyway - we paid 95 hours of training and training took 10 hours....what?!? Personalisation, geo-based personalisation, behavioural experiences - ALL of which were not included in the $40,000 we paid!!! As you can imagine, we were quite disappointed with this outcome, to which Optimizely said tough - pay us more money and we'll include personalisation in your platform. I like the software but it's overpriced and has some catches in contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation? I've used Optimizely for a year and I'm very disappointed. They have a catch in contract where you need to send a written cancellation request 1 month in advance or else your $2,000 per month contract is automatically renewed for a year! Now we can't get out of the contract for another year ($24,000) and we aren't using the product anymore. We have switched to VWO and realized it's a far better product with better price. For ~$800 a month (vs $2,000 on Optimizely) we got 3x more visitors and more features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
