Nexonia Expenses is user-friendly, making it easy for end-users and system administrators. Simply posting associated receipts (pictures in the app, via email, etc.) is a significant selling feature. In my experience as an Admin, I find the software easily adapts to customizations such as new thresholds, rules, and fields with minimal effort. I dislike how difficult it is to link individual credit cards in Emburse Nexonia. I understand that different banks follow different methods, but I hope that this connection will be made more straightforward and permanent in the future. This app allows me to keep track of my spending and budget for my firm, which is helpful. I don't have to worry about losing paper receipts or forgetting anything because it's all stored here. I really like the phone app. It makes submitting receipts easy (instead of having to take a photo and email/download it from my desktop). This makes travel expenses easy to manage. I like the ease of use for all the end-users. The product is very intuitive and easy to use for non-financial staff. The Support library is extensive with excellent brief articles and short videos. I was glad to be able to actually view all of these support resources before purchasing the product. This was a key factor in our purchase decision. I have had very few support tickets, but when I do have a question the team immediately acknowledges the request and follows up promptly with excellent guidance. The integration with Intacct is seamless and makes the credit card reconciliation process and charge payoff process a snap. In terms of value for money, this has been one of the best investments we've made as we attempt to improve our business processes. We have been able to reduce our Accounting Team headcount from 4 to 3 by adding Nexonia and another Intacct partner that has automated our Accounts Payable function. The tight integration with Intacct also allows for the transfer of credit card receipt images into our accounting system. This has provided added value especially during our annual audit as we can now let an auditor view our expenses with read-only access instead of pulling physical audit selected invoices. Recommendations to others considering Emburse Nexonia: I strongly recommend Emburse Nexonia for any business organization that is seeking to efficiently manage their credit card expenses in a cost effective way. Managing and reconciling the credit card expenses of 30 cardholders was cumbersome and time-consuming. Nexonia has made the process much more efficient and has enabled us to close our month in a more timely fashion. The built-in controls which prompt users to add receipts and the requried pop-up fields for meal expenses is a great help in developing a culture of compliance with proper substantiation. We obtained Nexonia for expense reimbursement reports as well as for the ability to process invoices within an approval workflow. The payables module isn't as well designed as the expense module. In addition, the approval workflow isn't designed to handle some of our more complex workflows for federal funding. Employees complain about receiving the same invoice for approval more than once. Nexonia is a user-friendly platform & is a great app to use for expenses. It seemed to work well regardless of whether I was on my computer, phone or iPad. I liked that the app was well designed & it was easy to integrate expenses from other platforms or just upload a receipt. Our company did not use it for travel services.
