Within Rippling Finance, we use the expense management tool and the corporate card program. Rippling has built a solid product that lets us centralize and organize our spend management very effectively. We can customize our T&E policies within Rippling and have them applied automatically during expense review, and we can also integrate Rippling directly with our accounting system to automate the recording of T&E expenses. Overall, Rippling provides a seamless experience for administering our T&E and corporate card policies and managing related expenses. The user experience is strong not only for administrators, but also for employees when submitting expenses and managing their corporate cards. We’ve seen a big benefit from using Rippling Finance in conjunction with Rippling’s HR and Payroll modules. I imagine that using Rippling Finance as a standalone tool could make the software feel less automated and less easy to administer. Also, because Rippling allows a high level of customization, the learning curve can feel fairly steep at first. What I like most about Rippling’s finance tools is that they’re connected to everything else in Rippling. Because spending is tied to employee data, cards and spending policies can be set up automatically based on someone’s role or team, and access is shut off right away when someone leaves. There’s no separate system to manage.

Expenses are also much easier. Receipts can be submitted from your phone, approvals go to the right person automatically, and everything syncs with our accounting software. As an Executive Business Partner, I handle a lot of expenses and travel for leadership, so having cards, receipts, approvals and reimbursements in one place saves me real time and cuts down on back-and-forth with finance. The best thing about Rippling Finance is how easy it is to submit and track my expenses. “I can just take a photo or upload a receipt and it automatically extracts the vendor, date and amount so I'm not typing everything in manually. When I submit an expense, it's easy to track its status, without having to follow up or guess where it is in the approval process. The one thing I don’t like about Rippling Finance is that notifications and reminders for missing receipts can be late or easy to miss. Sometimes I didn’t realise I needed a receipt until after the fact, which meant more back-and-forth to find and submit it.
