I like the ease of use of BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy) and appreciate the app feature, making it convenient for everyone to access their credit card on the go. The app significantly improves the process of receipt submission, as users can quickly take a picture of their receipts and have it automatically assigned to the correct transaction. The initial setup was also very easy.

BILL Spend & Expense solves managing multiple credit cards for employees and receipt capture. Its app makes receipt submission quick and seamless by letting users take pictures of receipts and auto-assign them to transactions.

What I like most about BILL.com is how much it streamlines accounts payable and receivable. The approval workflows, payment automation, and integration with QuickBooks make it easy to manage bills, invoices, and payments in one place.

One downside is that some features and controls can feel limited unless you’re on higher subscription tiers. The interface can also be a bit rigid at times, and certain processes require more steps than expected.

BILL.com solves the problem of manual and time-consuming payment processes by automating bill processing, approvals, and payments. I find BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy) to be user friendly, fast, and convenient. I really like the ease of use and the buy-in from users. The app is so quick and convenient, and the initial setup was incredibly easy and smooth.

I don't like that you cannot split a transaction until it is no longer pending. This adds time to the coding process and leaves room for misses.

I love the interface. It's super simple and seamless. My properties can upload receipts, code them, write descriptions, and send them to me for approval, and I can get them approved timely.

I think it would be nice if there was a notification option built in to remind you of when your expenditures are either ready to be reviewed or due to be reviewed each month.

I use BILL Spend & Expense to manage petty cash expenditures. It solves the problem of not having cash on hand by providing my site teams with a physical card. It helps reconcile expenses more timely.

I've used BILL Spend & Expense for a few years now and I love it! It makes the admin side so easy. This system is super easy for users and for admins to collect all the expense information needed. The backup provided made the audit process so intuitive. I also like how it syncs flawlessly with QuickBooks, which saves me time. It's very easy to import the charges to QuickBooks and to look up expenses and do research.

The time savings and convenience have been incredible for our team. Previously, we had to manually fill out a spreadsheet every month and upload photos of receipts to Google Drive, which took each employee hours to complete. Divvy has completely transformed this process for us. Now, receiving a quick notification after each purchase makes it much easier for our team to upload receipts and transaction details right away.

**What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?**

The only aspect I find frustrating is the customer service process. It's not an issue with the representatives themselves, but rather the system in place. To get help, you have to use the chat feature, enter all your information, start the chat, and then repeat your details when prompted again. Resolving issues through chat can be challenging. On the occasions when I've used the 'request a call' option, it has taken hours to receive a response, by which time I've usually solved the problem myself. I would much prefer being able to call directly and speak to someone when it's convenient for me, or having a dedicated account representative I could contact with questions.

Manual workload and errors were a constant challenge. Each team member used to spend hours completing their credit card statements, and after a few days, it was easy to forget the purpose of certain transactions. Divvy has completely resolved these issues for our team.

I find BILL Spend & Expense to be instrumental for managing multiple entities, each with its own line of credit. I truly appreciate how it simplifies the process of assigning and creating credit cards for employees and managers, and managing their funds. The ability to see everything in one place is incredibly convenient, and I find it very helpful. Setting up different budgets and assigning funds to various employees within the company is an immensely useful feature. Additionally, I enjoy how quick and easy it is to use, especially since I already have it set up for two of my entities. This level of convenience and efficiency is why I chose BILL Spend & Expense as the obvious choice over other vendors.

I am frustrated by the lack of automated expense categorization. Each time the same expense recurs weekly, I have to manually categorize it, which becomes annoying. Additionally, the necessity to create a new virtual card for every different merchant for distinct categorization feels cumbersome.

The ability to control limits, turn on and off cards, making virtual cards and ordering physical cards has changed how we manage our payables. Getting the platform up and running was seamless, the re-formatter worksheet that was provided helped cut down our AP processing time drastically along with the ability to pay multiple banks from the statement was a game changer.

**What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?**

The only negative would be the turnaround time on paying the invoice. Our old cards would give us 30 days from the billing cycle to pay the balance.

We no longer have to bill back the entities that the charges belong to, we can just pay from the associated bank account.

Before Bill, our close process couldn't truly start until the 4th or 5th day of the month because the credit card expenses spent on the last couple days of month haven't yet been populated in the expense reporting tool to even start coding/processing.  Now, transactions hit employee Bill portals immediately.  We no longer have to wait several days for those to populate and then follow up with employees for them to process.  Super thankful!

We are used to having a more expansive restricted spend type we could apply to cards.  Bill's categories are too broad to be helpful and thus we have some exposure from employee using the card on inappropriate uses.

**What problems is BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the slow transaction posting problem we were having and now we're able to close our books faster because credit card transactions hit employee portals immediately.

I like the ability to create different credit cards with BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy). We also use the budgeting system they offer a lot. Honestly, having a VENDOR card for each recurring expense, as well as having individual cards for each user, is an excellent feature.

**What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?**

They would need to integrate with Sage Intacct, and I kindly ask you not to separate the Bill.com console from the Divvy one. I have an account for each platform and that is a problem.

The need to have unique cards per user, control of expenses and budgets. It helps us to have all that.

Bill Spend has made it easy to track and classify expenses. Rolling it out to our team was simple.

Can't think of anything. Bill Spend is teh perfect solution a church our size.

We have always had an issue with employees turning in receipts on time. Bill Spend has helped reduce the time it takes chasing down staff for credit card receipts.

I like the ease of creating users and new cards with BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy). It simplifies managing multiple workflows based on different budgets assigned to employees. Additionally, having the capability to include multiple approvers is a significant benefit. Divvy serves as the primary company credit card, facilitating easy issuance of cards to employees and set up of reimbursement accounts for those who travel infrequently.

I find the budgets setup to be a little confusing sometimes. Additionally, the credit limit system is frustrating because it doesn't allow for a revolving limit. When we make payments, the credit does not become available to us again, which means we can only spend a fixed amount each month even though we're making weekly payments. This is frustrating, especially when it comes to people's credit card limits as they can't spend more, even when we pay them down.

The ability to upload receipts to charges and have them all in one place for our auditor. The ability to split expenses among more than one program. The adequate credit line.

**What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?**

I don't like the way Divvy synchs split expenses to Quickbooks. It synchs each split as a separate item instead of synching the entire expense with the split. So, if I want to edit the split after synching, I have to find and edit each separate split transaction. This does not happen in bill.com. That system synchs the entire transaction as one. I wish that was the case in Divvy. I also cannot edit the transaction in Divvy and then re-synch it or it creates a duplicate.

It replaced our credit card, increased our limit, made it easier to order and manage cards for key employees, improved internal controls by allowing us to integrate an approval process, lets us store all of our receipts and documentation and grant view access to our auditor, and integrates with Quickbooks.

I find the setup process straightforward and seamless, which saved us time when initially integrating the tool into our operations. I appreciate being able to track every expense and assign receipts effortlessly, which cleans up our reporting and reduces the time we spend on expensing tasks. The reporting feature is super clean and allows us to easily determine who has completed their tasks, significantly cutting down on our tracking time. I think the auto assignment of receipts is excellent, ensuring no expenses fall through the cracks. The mobile app stands out for its user-friendly interface, accommodating both management and user perspectives effectively. I also appreciate the polished and clean look of both the mobile app and the website, enhancing our user experience.

I dislike the responsiveness of the customer support, especially concerning significant requests like changing our credit limit. We've experienced considerable pushback, which is surprising given our substantial monthly expenditure, and yet we can't increase our credit limit above $75,000, causing operational bottlenecks. Additionally, although the mobile app is user-friendly, enhancing its polish and offering more flexibility in credit limits would be beneficial.

We currently are only using the Virtual Card reward portion of Spend and Expense. We already have another expense card in use by the company. We have been pretty impressed with the process of setting up the account and benefitting from vendors who are paid by Virtual Card. I would recommend this as a company. The integration was easy to link to our Bill.com account.

They only thing we aren't impressed with is the number of vendors who received a virtual card and try to process it more than once. We receive notifications that our card has insufficient funds. It would because all cards are one time use. This is all on the vendor but it's an inconvenience for us to see the notification in the Spend and Expense portal. Other than that, we don't have any other issues.

We are receiving a rebate based of the total Virtual Card spend through the Accounts Payable module of Bill.com

The ease of setup for different budgets/projects/people.  The search filters make it easy to find transactions.  The integration to accounting software is simple and changing of cost codes is also an easy process.  We reconcile each weeks transactions with ease and precision.  The implementation is simple and easy to do. Adding new codes is a breeze.  The earning of points for $ back is a huge bonus.

I have not experienced anything I dislike.

We used to have an issue with employees not coding their transactions timely or attaching the receipts.  Now every week when the statement comes out, I search for incomplete transactions and send each person a snip of their transactions to complete and they now quickly get it done.  Bill.com makes it easy for people to see what needs finished and it now gets done timely.  Each project we have has its own budget that allows us to make sure they are only using the codes approved for their project and not ones on any other jobs.  other software has all the codes available to everyone and makes for charges being coded incorrectly, Bill.com changed that for us.

Adding funds and limiting funds within a budget per person and the policy feature have been a game changer for our org.

The Insights and filters are great as well. It's very easy to use and limiting the categories is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?**

I want to be able to review receipts by a person with fewer clicks; if I could filter for an employee and click one button to review their receipts and notes vs. five clicks to get to the next receipt, it would help me, and managers review their employee's reconciliation. 

We had a case of misappropriation, and the review process per transaction was daunting not because of the volume of transactions but the barrier to flow from one to another. 

Also, the search feature for budget has to be exact and does not search the budgets just the groups. I'd like to be able to search by event name and find the budget.

Policy issues, there are often failures when uploading policies in budgets.

I am frustrated by the lag time when updating transactions in BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy). There is often a delay when trying to code them, resulting in a buffer. Additionally, I am concerned with the security of the physical credit cards. They are frequently compromised, requiring cancellations and issuing new cards, which is inconvenient for our users. This compromises the user-friendliness of the service, as cardholders often face declines due to these security issues, a problem not experienced with other credit card providers.

I don't like that tracking refunds is a bit of a hassle. I have to filter to a max of $1 to track refunds, rather than having a specific filter for refunds.

The upsides of BILL Spend and Expense is that their support team is exceptional! Also I really like how I am able to download a quick report of all the transactions by using the filters. Divvy is really easy to use because I can quickly download the receipts and be able to see how the transactions are coded.

Some downsides is the attached additional receipts has been removed and I can't just drag them anymore. Also recently I have run into issues with adding new jobs and removing them.

The fact that there is set recurring amount on the physical cards and I can quickly detect any fraudulent activity.

I find the setup process of BILL Spend & Expense incredibly user-friendly and efficient. The assistance from our account manager, Lauren, was fantastic and made the initial setup seamless. I love the platform's ability to track spending in real-time, add funds to accounts instantly, and manage accountability within our organization. The snap-photo feature for receipts is particularly useful. Before BILL, our small nonprofit used personal cards, reimbursement and expense requests, and some various credit cards. BILL helped us make a massive leap forward in the way we organize, track, and utilize our spend each month. With BILL, every team member receives their own card. Everyone (even staff that I thought would hate the change) immediately loved being able to take a photo of the receipt and have it easily matched to the charge with little effort. It was simple to get up and going, required little effort, and the instructions made it easy to integrate BILL into our normal rhythms.

Approval processes, clear disputing process, easy to demonstrate how to use to colleagues, intuitive UI, automatic routing of approvals. I was not here for implementation but I have found it easy to onboard new users. I use this system daily and review 500-1000 transactions monthly.

Reimbursements should be able to automatically integrate into Quickbooks through an API. We have to manually add them and it's a lot of tedious work. Sometimes the system is slow and churns when I'm processing a lot of transactions, with lower transaction times. When reviewing to give approval as the admin, I wish there was an option to message the transaction owner directly from the specific transaction to ask a question or note to them that further documentation is needed (ie thread on that transaction).
