The only thing I dislike is a recent change in the calendar workflow. I used to be able to click directly on the client’s name in the calendar and go straight into the video appointment. About four weeks ago that changed, and now I have to click on the appointment, hit edit, then send, and only then can I get into the video session. It is not a deal breaker at all, but it does add extra steps to something that used to be very simple. If they bring back the ability to join the video call just by clicking the client’s name in the calendar, the experience would be absolutely perfect for me, because I truly love the rest of the program and how easy everything else is to use. There’s nothing that I strongly dislike about EHR your way. I would say that I feel the mobile site could be more user friendly… it’s challenging to search clients and navigate it the same way as the desktop version which in prefer but it is a newer tool and not worked all kinks out which is fair. I don't find the automations particularly clear, especially when setting them up for each individual type of therapy. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong or if it's just not intuitive. Setting up automations with forms to go out directly to a person and dealing with different appointment types could definitely be improved. Zanda saves me time and money by allowing clients to book and manage appointments through a client portal. I'm not able to very well understand the linking with all the invoices with Xero, and that's not still working with me 100%. If there is something less complicated, that would be really good. It's really difficult to send forms like a service agreement and the intake form if they are not embedded. Sending them in a PDF format or a link for easy filling could be less complicated. I would love to be able to use Splose with my meal planning software, but it doesn't at the moment. I find incorporating attachments into ModMed cumbersome, and embedding them directly into the chart for consultants is not as seamless as I would like. The lack of a hyperlink feature within the body of notes to link directly to corresponding photos or written impressions adds unnecessary complexity to workflow. I also feel that the area reserved for important patient details like allergies, blood thinner use, and other critical information is not prominently displayed, which could improve through a more visible interface. The absence of color-coding for different types of visits also reduces the clarity in the schedule and could enhance organization. Searching for other HISP direct mail users and their addresses isn't as intuitive as expected. It would be beneficial if ModMed could support dot phrases similar to those in Epic, allowing for more efficient shorthand note-taking. The limited functionality of native phrases in EMA, and the inability to copy or utilize phrases from others, further restricts efficiency. Lastly, the transition to using ModMed was made difficult by the lack of adequate time with experts. A point of attention remains the cost and credit structure. Some functions that feel basic require credits or fall outside the standard package. Therefore, it is important to carefully review in advance what credits are needed for and how they are used, to avoid unexpected costs.

Employees must often work through a checklist when setting up. This sometimes feels a bit forced, but it does ensure that you get the most out of the system.

There are a few things I would tweak. I wouldn't necessarily call them downsides. I just wish I could add some features that would be beneficial to me, such as a resource library with pictures, videos, and handouts, not in the current program layout, or saving images/videos to snippets, or saving "template sections" to add to notes if needed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Prior to Practice Better I was using several different systems - Acuity for scheduling, Square for billing/invoicing, Google Forms for intake, Zoom for telehealth, and google docs for notes. Billing & Hours = More Headaches

While Opus has made some processes smoother, billing therapists and tracking hours has actually gotten trickier. What used to be simple now takes a bit more clicking, guessing, and double-checking.

Calendar Learning Curve

The online calendar has a unique style—which is a nice way of saying it took a minute (or several) to get the hang of. Once we adjusted, it was manageable, but the transition wasn’t exactly intuitive.

Insurance & Billing Setup Woes

Unfortunately, the initial setup by the Opus team missed the mark. Insurance and billing info was entered incorrectly, which meant we had to go in and manually fix client details ourselves—not exactly the time-saver we were hoping for.

Opus is helping streamline a lot of the daily admin tasks that used to eat up time and energy. Things like and using the chat feature are now way more efficient and accessible. It’s basically taken some of the chaos out of managing client logistics and made everything feel a little more organized and centralized—which means we can spend more time actually supporting clients and less time wrestling with scheduling or paperwork. It would be great if we could implement few things. 1. For some cases, the SAE form needs to downloaded for wet signature in that case it would be better to get the SAE as PDF but without audits so it would be great if the PDF without audit also available in EDC.

2. For Default value, I know the data is editable and the value also populates but I feel if there is a chance the data is not to be edited except one in that case I feel to add an option to freeze the option other than that one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest challenge with ClinicMind is how complex the system can be, especially when it comes to modifying or changing notes. If you don’t already know where to go in the back end, it can take some time to navigate and figure out the correct steps.

That being said, the support team does an exceptional job of bridging that gap. I can always submit a task request, and they consistently go above and beyond — offering calls, video calls, screenshots, and even recorded walkthroughs that show exactly how to make changes. A quick shout-out to people like Aziz, who has been incredibly patient and helpful throughout this process. His guidance makes the learning curve so much easier to manage.

There can sometimes be a breakdown in communication where we have to explain things multiple times before it is taken care of, due to the number of people who are working on our system. While the ease of submitting our requests and the quick response time is nice, it gets tiresome having to explain things multiple times because they have not dealt with this issue previously. I would like to see group billing. I provide services to a school and it would be nice to put all the invoices under one payer/header to make it a little easier but I may just not have found the way to do this as of yet. I needed a solution that had everything in one place. I wanted to be able to have my schedule, keep my notes and evaluations, bill private pay and bill insurance but in an organized and easy way and this was the only option that I found that met all my needs. The biggest selling point was the ability to collect data and see graphs showing me when the goal was worked on and be able to see the progression over time. ECP could improve the bowel monitoring process. There is not really anything in place currently to be able to quickly see who has not had a BM in x amount of days. This would be a huge benfit to our staff and residents. Additionally a "911 quick print" button would be very helpful for emergency situations.
