The program is outdated unless you buy into the company's payroll and HRIS program. **What do you dislike about Paychex?** The program is outdated, needs a significant upgrade to either all features or just the 401(k) piece. **Recommendations to others considering Paychex:** Look at other options before coming to the vendor. Their program has two options. If you only do the 401(k), your options would be limited, and if you choose to do the heath and HR options, then your options are a lot different, and the look and feel of flex is almost night and day. **What problems is Paychex solving and how is that benefiting you?** 401(k) administration. I love the extremely helpful and quick tech support. **What do you dislike about Paychex?** There are so many features that it is hard to know exactly what I should be learning to increase my system use. I would love to have a tutorial that shares: here's a basic use, here's level 2, here's level 3, and so on. **What problems is Paychex solving and how is that benefiting you?** We utilize Paychex Flex to run our payroll and pay 1099 contractors. We've had them for 9+ months and every single pay period I have to manually enter hours information because the file feed from the time system into the Oasis system does not work correctly. It'll pay an employe 20 regular hours and 65 OT hours. I've complained and no one has made any attempts to resolve the issues. IT has said there's no issues at all. Ridiculous! We recently went through open enrollment. I have an employee population that needs hands-on assistance as they are not comfortable with technology. I've called for a week and have yet to speak with any human in the benefits department. The departments are siloed so your HR Contact can't help you with Benefits. AT ALL. Not even a little. I asked for paper forms to enroll one employee to get him finally enrolled as he was having constant issues getting into the system (which I have no power to help with because they don't give me access to reset a password, or change a username, etc.). I was told paper forms (from my HR contact) don't exist but they did when we signed up initially. Oasis gives you very little power to actually help your employees and then they don't answer the phone to assist them! We switched from ADP due to their poor customer service. Oasis makes them look like a saint!!! I cannot wait to switch to literally any company other than Oasis. **What problems is Paychex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oasis has only created problems for us, not solved anything. Sales department sells you the world and does not follow through. Zero benefits have materialized since enrolling with Oasis. Zero. We want our money back. ### 8. Terrible support. Lack of clear communication. Lack of clear direction. Lack of support in my time zone. Ridiculous deadlines for submitting payroll if you happen to be based on the West Coast. Nonstop upselling when they can't even get the services we paid for right. Turnover - on the payroll side alone, we had three new specialists in as many months. None of which trained us properly on the platform. Unauthorized remits. They do not send alerts or emails to employees when payroll is processed. They default to communications by snail mail which makes no sense when most businesses are remote. Zero visibility from their Flex team into HR and vice versa, which means you have to do everything twice. Requesting forms and information THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE in their system on my business. Mislabelling contractors as employees causing tax issues for everyone involved. I've wasted so many hours of my time that could have been going to growing my business, chasing, following up, and trying to get things corrected. **What problems is Paychex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zero benefits. I would say this program is equal to most other payroll systems. **What do you dislike about Paychex?** There are times when it lags and it takes several minutes for employees to get logged on. I barely have to think about it. **What do you dislike about Paychex?** The customer service has gone WAY downhill in the last few years. I don't get replies to most of my requests. They generally do get taken care of, but if they don't there is no accountability whatsoever. They're also pretty useless when it comes to unusual situations. This past year when we were trying to get ERC money by including it on our form 941, they had no idea how I could go about making a change to a form they fill out automatically. The phone calls and emails that were not replied to. How much effort it took to get refunded for their overcharges to my account. The dismissive attitudes when I would complain about the overcharges. The system has good features; getting support has been impossible. Example: Setting up our 401k calulations.
