What platform provides automated social report generation?

One of the things I’m looking into right now is how to cut down the time spent building reports. Pulling engagement numbers from each platform, formatting them into slides or spreadsheets, and then updating them every week or month feels like a never-ending task. Automated reporting seems like the obvious solution, but I’m trying to figure out which platforms actually do it well. When I checked the G2 Social Media Analytics category and read through user reviews, a few platforms stood out:

  • Hootsuite:  High marks for scalability and report exporting.
  • Sprout Social: Frequently praised for polished, ready-to-share reports.
  • SOCi: Known for rolling up data across multi-location accounts and automating reporting at scale.
  • Semrush: Combines social reporting with SEO and content analytics, which can be exported automatically.
  • Zoho Social:  Strong ratings for scalability and white-label reporting, often mentioned by SMBs.
  • Vista Social: noted for easy-to-use exports and scheduling.
  • Agorapulse: Reviewers call out detailed, client-ready automated reports.

Other names I keep seeing are Statusbrew, YouScan, Sotrender, Meltwater, Dash Social, Later Social, SocialPilot, Metricool, Whatagraph, Octoboard, ReportGarden, and Cloud Campaign.

That’s what I’ve pieced together from the G2 data and this is a long list, but I’d love to hear from others:

  • Which platform has saved you the most time with automated reporting?
  • Do you rely on native scheduled reports, or still export into BI tools/slides?
  • Any underrated features (like white-label or cross-channel rollups) that make reporting easier?

We’re still testing options, so real-world experiences would be super helpful.
