I have been using OpenTable for Restaurants for over two years and appreciate its ability to efficiently manage reservations and enhance the guest management process. It significantly streamlines daily operations and improves the guest experience, making it an invaluable tool for my business. I love the intuitive interface and seamless integration, which make managing reservations and guest relationships both efficient and effortless. The initial setup was straightforward and well-supported, thanks to clear guidance from the onboarding team, which made the implementation process smooth and efficient. I highly value the platform's capability for optimizing table turnover and enhancing overall guest experience through streamlined communications and data-driven insights.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

One area that could be improved in OpenTable for Restaurants is the reporting and analytics features, which could offer more customization and deeper insights to better support data-driven decision making.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OpenTable for Restaurants to efficiently manage reservations and enhance guest management, streamlining operations and improving guest experiences with data-driven insights.

 ### 2. Best-in-Class Reservation Management with Powerful Features and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renato G. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The best tool for managing reservations worldwide, with plenty of features for hostesses, managers, and marketing teams. It also offers many integrations with different software.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The pricing feels a bit expensive across the plans they offer, and they also charge a service fee for every seat.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They only work with one payment processor

 ### 3. Keeps All Guest Information in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It helps me keep all my guest information in one place. It also helps me study visit and revenue trends

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

There is nothing I dislike about opentable

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps attract more customers into our business and integrates with our POS

 ### 4. No Fuss Experience - User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tina R. | Revenue Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

What I like the most is that it is very user friendly. I can toggle from area to area easily, allowing me to have time to take care of my guests. I also like the ability to create special offers anytime. We cater to specialty guests, and they love our special menus.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I do not enjoy the menu building feature. I believe that is the least user friendly feature in the whole system. Also, I would like to see more integrations meant for hotels that run restaurants in their facilities.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving my guest organization. Reservations come in via the platform, wham that is done. We add manual reservations that come in via the phone, wham that is done.

 ### 5. Open Table For Restaurants

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon B. | Owner/Operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The app is easy to use, customer service is always great, and it helps us get our name out to potential new diners as well as providing added convenience for returning guests.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I feel that some of the controls, for things like pausing and starting reservations can be a bit cumbersome. That being said, since our two year layover between changing locations, I feel that it has been vastly improved.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Open Table does a great job of driving guests to our restaurant. Even though we have kept our online reservations disabled, for the first month or so since we opened, our staff has been able to familiarize themselves with the software.

 ### 6. Mixed Feelings on OT

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Marketing Power - campaigns and visibility on the OT network is unmatched

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Very complicated, not very user friendly. To set up exceptions and a floorplan with rules, dining room assignments, all very complicated. The new review system is also discouraging where you have to download a report each time vs previously when it was sent in the body of an email.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the snapshot on covers as compared to local market.

 ### 7. OpenTable is Great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Calvin Y. | Corporate Director of Beverage , Restaurants, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

What I like best about OpenTable for Restaurants is the centralized control it gives us over our reservations and guest experience. The ability to customize pacing, optimize table turns, and access real-time data helps us make smarter staffing and service decisions. I also appreciate the guest profile features—it allows us to deliver more personalized hospitality, especially for return diners.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

While OpenTable is a powerful tool, the cost can be a barrier—especially for independent restaurants. I also think there’s room for improvement in how the platform integrates with other systems like POS or marketing tools. More customization for reservation pacing and better insights into guest behavior would also be valuable.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable helps us solve several key operational challenges: managing reservations efficiently, minimizing no-shows, and keeping our front-of-house team aligned during service. It centralizes our booking system, so we’re not juggling calls, emails, and walk-ins separately. It also gives us real-time insights into guest flow, which helps us optimize staffing and table turns. On the guest side, it improves communication and consistency, making it easier to provide a personalized, high-touch experience that keeps people coming back.

 ### 8. A Reason They Always Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa H. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I am always impressed with Opentable’s customer service. It is nice to have a rep that is close to my city that I am able to sit down with and go over any issues that I may have. I also appreciate that they listen to the restaurant operators and use that feedback to make the platform more intuitive.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable can be a bit confusing if you are using it for the first time. Scheduling with an onboarding member can be bit difficult.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable is the restaurant booking app that people throughout the world use. It is easy to find restaurants and attract new guests.

 ### 9. Reliable, Professional, and Easy to Use – Just Wish It Was More Affordable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max R. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We've been loyal OpenTable customers for years, and the platform continues to be an essential part of our restaurant’s operations. The app is incredibly user-friendly for both our guests and our team, making reservations and table management seamless.

Whenever we've had to reach out to customer service—which is rare—the support has been nothing short of excellent. Whether it's through phone or chat, our issues are always resolved quickly and with a high level of professionalism.

Overall, OpenTable has been a dependable partner, and we appreciate the value it brings to our business.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

If we had one piece of feedback, it would be on pricing. The per-cover charges can really add up over time, and for small to mid-sized restaurants, that cost can be tough to absorb. A more flexible or tiered pricing model would go a long way.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manually managing reservations and tracking guest information. By automating these processes, it's saved our team valuable time and reduced the risk of errors or double bookings. We’re able to easily access guest history, preferences, and notes, which helps us deliver a more personalized experience. The platform streamlines front-of-house operations and gives us better visibility into our dining room, allowing for smoother service and smarter planning.

 ### 10. Always have been impressed w/ Opentable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Opentable is the most customer friendly stable reservation platform I have worked with

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The cost is always an issue. Restructuring the cost structure for restaurants who are struggling would be helpful

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of our POS system has been something that I have always been a big advocate for

**Official Response from Rebecca Dupont:**

> Hi Todd,

Thank you for using OpenTable! We appreciate your continued partnership and the trust you put in us to serve your restaurant and your customers. We are glad you’re finding our platform helpful for managing reservations. We value your feedback, please continue to share it so we can continue to optimize and offer the best experience.

 ### 11. The Premier Reservation Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trey J. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The ease on the consumer side to sift through restaurants, as well as the tools to optimize the flow of service.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It is the priciest option I've seen, but you get what you pay for.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep my staff busy in a more sustainable way, in that we seat them at the proper intervals and with the optimal number of guests with OpenTable's easy to use interface. It allows me to be creative with our dining room layouts because I know that I can quickly adjust any floor plan or guest request with ease.

 ### 12. Managing my restaurant with Open Table

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The most helpful part of using open table for restaurants is being able to manage my daily operations on the go. Whenever I need a quick change to my floor plan or event running schedule, I can quickly update on my phone app or a laptop. Their customer service is quick with responses and very helpful with setting things up.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I can’t think of the least helpful part using open table for restaurants. The only thing I personally have experienced is setting up the event or experience could be tricky if you’re not familiar with the process. Once you get it, it becomes quick and easy.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It shows me the monthly breakdown on how many customers we get, how our promotion is running and in general brings more customer to our restaurant because we are on Open table.

 ### 13. Very User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remington M. | Event Coordinator / Guest Experience & Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It's very user friendly for the backend and we love the accessibility we have to reach out to our guests. The detail in communication we are able to provide and ability to change floorplans on the fly. I do appreciate the ease of implementation so connect other social platforms.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I do wish we we're able to provide more detail to our guest's profiles such as photos. Also be able to edit emails to guest through OpenTable to better personalize.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing in guests with their marketing tools.

 ### 14. Strong Basic Software with Interesting Extras

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable is a long-proven juggernaut in the restaurant reservations space. They have a broad user-base of guests looking for reservations and remove a lot of the friction in gathering guest info, securing reservations at difficult time slots, protecting the restaurant against late cancellations and no-shows (credit card guarantee), and marketing additional aspects of the restaurant (e.g. dining areas, menu, special events, private dining). OpenTable is relatively easy to use from an operations standpoint and can be mastered by most, from the 16 year-old host to a later-in-life semi-retired hospitality lifer who can't give it up just yet. The back-office and availability planning options can be as in-depth or as bare-bones as you need. At times, when I have run into technical issues, their chat-based customer support has been very helpful and relatively quick in solving issues.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable has developed many additional features in recent months/years to compete with other reservation software competitors or to adapt to changing landscape of dining out (thank you, covid). At times, the implementation of these features may have been rushed such that their implementation was short-sided and not as beneficial as first intended. Furthermore, OpenTable is very device-specific: meaning that features available on iOS are different from what is available via an internet browser. OpenTable seems to be taking steps recently to narrow this gap; however, their Android-based mobile app lags far behind and is comically useless at times. I write this as an Android phone user who utilizes the OT app on my phone daily.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable excels at marketing our restaurant and optimizing reservations to maximize the number of guests we can seat in a given time period. OpenTable also gathers important contact info from guests and allows us to expand our communications and guest-resource management.

 ### 15. Market leader for a reason!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Powerful tools let you manage on an enterprise level while providing location-specific support for unique needs. For corporate level operators, it's great for managing multiple locations at once. For operators in the field, it's easy to train on for FOH staff that will be using the platform often for taking reservations and communicating with guests. Best of all, if you need help their support team is responsive and thorough.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We have experienced some syncing issues across multiple tablets when wifi is spotty or many changes are made. Integrations are somewhat limited but OT works well with CRMs willing to put in a little elbow grease.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It handles the task of online reservations without too much management required for our front-of-house managers. We get a lot of traffic to the business this way and it's wonderful to not have to be stuck to emails or answering the phone.

 ### 16. OpenTable Rocks!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

What I like best about OpenTable for Restaurants is how intuitive and streamlined the reservation management system is. The interface is easy to use for staff, even during busy hours, and it really helps reduce the risk of overbooking or confusion. The automatic confirmation emails and reminders for guests cut down on no shows, and the reporting tools provide valuable insights into customer trends and table turnover rates.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

One thing I dislike is the cost structure, especially the per cover fee. For independent restaurants, these fees can add up quickly, eating into already thin profit margins. Also, while the platform is feature rich, some of the more advanced tools require separate add-ons or upgrades, which can be frustrating if you're hoping for an all in one solution.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable for Restaurants is solving several key problems for us, especially when it comes to streamlining our reservation process and improving front of house efficiency. It helps us keep track of where to seat guests based on table availability, server sections, and party size, which reduces confusion during busy shifts. The platform also minimizes double bookings and makes it easy to update or cancel reservations in real-time, keeping everything organized and reducing stress for the host staff. Overall, it saves time, improves guest experience, and helps us operate more smoothly.

 ### 17. Excellent software for table management, operations, and marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The software has helped us better assign tables and seat more people efficiently. It has also helped us in managing serving staff and assigning tables, as well as being able to see in real time the table status thanks to the integration with our POS. It has also helped us gain more visibility with the local market thanks to OpenTable's name in the restaurant industry.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The special days setting isn't always as easy to use as the rest of the software, but with time and patience it works. An area of improvement would be to be able to adjust more specific settings from the mobile Open Table for Restaurants app.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable is helping us stay relevant in today's local markets, allows us to be dynamic in our offerings, helping us book experiences and special events without the need of running to other softwares. OpenTable is also serving as a customer database, giving us useful information on recurring guests, new guests, marketing emails, and booking small events. We are also able to seat more efficiently, thanks to the integration with our POS, which is one of the most valuable tools.

 ### 18. Easy to use

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Open Table is easy to use and provides a good way for customers to reserve their table and keep all their information.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We wish we could add an ordering service to this to combine another software that we use.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seating chart and table reservations,. We love how it saves important guest data to use to our advantage to target specific customers.

 ### 19. Review from a Top User

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla D. | Managing Patrner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The support on the phone is the best thing about Open Table. Otherwise it does what the competitors do.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The price is cost prohibitive for most restaurants. We would not recommend restaurants use this software for this reason. It is way more expensive than other systems.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to sell tickets to experiences is extremely helpful.

 ### 20. Best of class reservation system for restaurants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

OpenTable is the most used and respected platform for restaurant reservations in the industry. It’s user friendly, customizable, and adaptable. I use it in my operations and suggest it to the operators I consult.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It is the best and it is also the most expensive.

It helps solve table management issues, marketing opportunities, and guest relations/communications opportunities.

 ### 21. Open Table is the best platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn L. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It is extremely user friendly and they have upgraded some new features that competitors have had. The ease of implementing the system was seamless and training of the staff was easy as well. Guest count increased when we switched back to open table.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We switched away and then returned to Open Table because we wanted to try a new system, however it hurt our business and when we returned our account team has been very helpful and stays in contact.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They included private dining options where guests can now reserve for special dinners and pay a deposit so they have to come.

 ### 22. User friendly site that helps you book more!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Besides the fact that it is easy to manage restaurant bookings, it gives the operators the ability to optimize their restaurants through clear actionable to do's. This feature is best in class among table management software. The client success manager has made customer support incredibly easy and full service.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The way separate way that you manage the restaurant from the booking portion could be easier to navigate.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program is the main booking engine and table management program for our restaurants. It helps keep our restaurant running smoothly and full of customers.

 ### 23. You can teach an old restaurant new tricks!

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable has given our staff the ability to organize reservations more efficiently while giving management an inside look at the trends in our dining.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

It can be frustrating to have my account support based in another country where the time difference makes meetings difficult.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenTable is helping book nights that are typically slower.

 ### 24. Best Reservation Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tasia P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

It's the most robust and easy to use. It's also easier for customers to book reservations as well. Prefer over Resy.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Costly wish they didn't charge as much per cover.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help to make sure we have correct turn times and making sure servers have enough covers.

**Official Response from Rebecca Dupont:**

 ### 25. Revenue Booster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jama F. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable has allowed us the opportunity to save money in multiple ways.

First, we are able to seat more guests. More seat, more revenue.

We also are able to free up time spent on the phone taking manual reservations, or tying up the phone for carry out orders.

Lastly, we are able to staff appropriately by forecasting using previously recorded data.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

OpenTable does not currently sync with calendars or our POS. Currently, the price seems a bit high (sometimes offsetting the savings) however, once these implementations take effect, the value will increase.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reservations

 ### 26. Full-Featured, Intuitive Booking System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The vast majority of our stores use OpenTable all day, every day. Both back-end (manager-use) and front-end (server/host-use) are intuitive and fully-featured. The app is very stable, and works well on a variety of mobile devices, seamlessly. On the rare occasion we've needed support, OpenTable's team have been there and taken ownership of and resolved the issue very quickly. The OpenTable platform also integrates with many other restaurant and POS Systems, and we're evaluating implementing more of those integrations.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The printer preferences (Chit Printing) aren't the best, and [recommended] networked printers seem to be found one minute and not the next.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides reservations, the OpenTable app provides an immediate, visual on all tables in the store, and provides valuable insight into each table.

 ### 27. Very helpful with receiving reservations and keeping our guests accurately informed.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I can honestly say I haven’t had any bad experiences with open table.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Open table solves any miscommunication when it comes to reservations. It benefits me by allowing me to confidently knowing what reservations we have, and what seating options are available.

This has been a great addition to managing and overseeing reservations, adding sales by marketing on a large online platform, marketing to new and existing customers. It was very user friendly to learn and integrate with our Toast POS.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

I wish the cost per month was less, or there were different levels of using options that had different price options

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of reservations and customer requests during their reservation. Tracking the amount of server guests and tables during their shift.

 ### 29. Really happy with the service

 ### 30. OpenTable is Great for Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We've had a positive experience with OpenTable, particularly with their marketing features and the support from our account representative, Kate. We've successfully used Boost campaigns to drive incremental revenue during slower periods, and the email marketing platform has been effective in re-engaging lapsed guests and promoting special events. Kate has been incredibly helpful in guiding us through the platform and maximizing its potential.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

We're located in a seasonal tourist town, and I wish there were a way to see which restaurants our guests frequent in their hometowns. This kind of insight would help us better understand their preferences and what they look for when choosing a restaurant.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing sales in slow periods.

 ### 31. Great service, but far too expensive

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The layout of OpenTable is easy to understand and operate, and it is easy for guests to navigate.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

There are a lot of updates which is not a negative thing, but things are constantly changing and we you get acclimated to one way, it has changed to another.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reservation flow sometimes will show no reservations are available for a guest to book, but we will have availability when it says that we do not.

 ### 33. Great new features

 ### 41. Great Software, but very pricey

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonel Z. | Director Of Food And Beverage, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Comparing the current guest center in Open Table to what it had 2 years ago, I have to say that Open Table has really stepped up its game. The Experience feature was very hard to use, especially when restaurants were trying to run a special event alongside the normal operation. Now the Experience feature is much easier to do and changes are effective faster. Another Upside of OT is their customer service. I only use CHAT when I need help, they are fast and the agents are very well-trained.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Open Table is a very expensive reservation management system, and its cost can make sense if their marketing and boost campaigns were included in their fees, but they are add-ons to the cost. The price doesn't make sense, especially when so many other reservation management systems charge a flat rate, regardless of the number of reservations through OT or using their widget on the restaurant's websites.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Open Table has definetaly helped managing the influx of reservations, by adjusting the reservation pace and targeting the slowest time slots. Also, their Review feature is a good measure for the restaurants to get guest feedback in real time and with statistics.

**Official Response from Rebecca Dupont:**

> Hello Leonel,

Thank you for using OpenTable! We appreciate your continued partnership and the trust you put in us to serve your restaurant and your customers. We are glad you’re finding our Experiences feature easier to use. We value your feedback, please continue to share it so we can continue to optimize and offer the best experience.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Able to see past history and reservations years in the past. Does a pretty good job of managing online reservations.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

The setting for tables (sizes, combinations) is hard to navigate, the special day setting is difficult to set up. Anytime I'm needed to modify a day or set something up special it takes time to just figure it out. I don't have support from a rep, not even sure I have one. I have worked with regular support to help with my table combo issues but the 3 times I called I got different answers and it's still not working correctly, so were managing it the best we can.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that im aware of.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

Sometimes the customers get texted their reservation after they are already seated. This is glitch in the system

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers are making reservations and have access to to availability information in real time

 ### 47. OpenTable from Aruba

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo S. | General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2024

**What do you like best about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

What I like most about OpenTable for Businesses is how easy it makes restaurant management. Everything is in one place, from reservations to table management, which helps everything run smoothly. It also provides real-time reports and data, which is very useful for making quick decisions. Additionally, it allows you to customize the customer experience, which helps them return. Overall, it makes the restaurant more efficient.

**What do you dislike about OpenTable for Restaurants?**

What I don't like about OpenTable for Businesses is that it can be a bit expensive, especially if you have a small restaurant. Additionally, the platform can be somewhat confusing at first if you're not used to using it. Also, the commissions for online reservations add up quickly. If it were more affordable and easier to use, it would be much better.

**What problems is OpenTable for Restaurants solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In high season, OpenTable for Businesses is a key tool for efficient restaurant planning. It allows for orderly management of reservations, avoiding the chaos that can arise with increased demand. Through its table assignment system and service time control, the flow of diners is optimized, ensuring availability for more customers. Additionally, its ability to predict demand peaks using historical data helps adjust staff and necessary resources, improving both the operation and the customer experience during the high season.

**Official Response from Rebecca Dupont:**

> Hi Paolo,
