I like how Mentorloop Mentoring Software makes it easy to connect with mentees. It has a chat function and private loops for tracking notes and setting up meetings. I appreciate that it lets me view when both the mentee and I are free to easily set up meetings. It also empowers mentees to take meetings and follow up on notes and actions. I find it intuitive to use. I value the ability to write session notes and have them privately sent back to the university, which helps in flagging problems early. I think there's a lot of emails that come out of the app. And sometimes the app is slow to load up, so I think there's some sort of functionality improvement potential there. I use a MacBook Air, maybe it's not super compatible as it would be with Windows. I'm not sure. I like that I can review multiple mentor profiles and request to connect with the ones that best resonate with me. Unlike other mentor softwares, I am not automatically assigned to a mentor through some abstract algorithm or matching process, but rather get the opportunity to organically explore connections with mentors to see if they're a good fit based on my needs and their abilities. Being an entrepreneur entails a lot of different focuses - financing, marketing, sales, business development, go-to-market, product development, etc. Mentors have specific focuses and expertise. The only thing I don't like is that it limits you to 2 open connection requests at a time. Some mentors in the software are no longer active, so if you use both of your requests on inactive mentors, you end up waiting a long time to finally connect with someone. It enables you to easily match with great mentees (I have had 2 spot-on matches in 2 years of using it), then fully track all stages of your contact and relationship, integrate your calendar to set up meetings, and chat easily in your "loop". It also provides great resources to support mentors and mentees, and build your milestones together, including setting and tracking Goals, which is a wonderful feature.
