I've been using Mentorloop Mentoring Software for about a month now in the Niba mentoring program, and I find it really good. I love the framework it provides for discussions, prompts, and the chat function is probably the best part because we can talk to each other whenever we need to, prepare for meetings, log those meetings, and track progress on shared goals. I also appreciate the weekly reminders and prompts from program coordinators, which I think are great. The software has taken the hard work out of setting up a framework, guiding me brilliantly as a first-time mentor. It's amazing to have a system that automates and keeps everything updated effortlessly. Additionally, I like the ease of use since it's not overly complicated. I really enjoy giving and receiving feedback or kudos, as seeing someone's achievements can be shared on LinkedIn, which is good for their profile, and everyone loves recognition. I think when I initially started, I was a little bit unsure. There was a whole lot of training and things. So when I first got to Mentorloop Mentoring Software, it was almost a bit of overload of information to start with. Once I was accepted and I sort of knew where to go that made it easier. But I think the initial onboarding I did go down a rabbit hole a little bit with clicking on absolutely everything. Some of the training courses and things like that that I could have done. After finding a communicative and highly knowledgeable mentor, Mentorloop has been a wildly helpful way of connecting with people in the industry with so much experience, that as a Mentee, I have found it a very rewarding experience. I have not had the opportunity to test if I can see archived mentorship interactions after a prior mentorship experience has closed. If this functionality does exist; if I wish to share something from a prior experience (copy and paste a message) with a new mentee; it is not intuitive to be seen easily without searching. I use Mentorloop Mentoring Software to communicate with my mentor in a different part of the country, and it's really effective for that. I like that we can have almost any number of people sharing their different experiences, the issues they're facing, and their solutions. I find it extremely helpful in being able to share ideas among a vast number of people. I wish that the scheduling component within Mentorloop Mentoring Software would be a little more robust. I also find that if I need to have a one-on-one with my mentor, I wish it did have the video and audio capability to be able to do that instead of having to go out to Zoom or FaceTime. I like the features of Mentorloop Mentoring Software, such as how everyone can see anyone's post in the mentorship loop, which allows us to share experiences and view responses. I think everything was okay. But, if you can provide an app for mobile so we can download it from there, and then from there it will be easy to handle anytime we can connect, and then we can see the message. I really like the prompts that Mentorloop Mentoring Software asks when creating an account. They help align what I want out of a mentorship with what I'm looking for in a mentor, making sure I get matched with someone well-suited. I also find it really easy to communicate through the platform. The chat feature is great because it offers a good form of communication when you're first partnered up with a mentor, and it's better than the back-and-forth emailing.
