  ### 1. Effective, Efficient, and Responsive

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS does a great job of handling payroll for our company. It is very easy to submit our payroll every week and if I ever have any issues or questions, the support team is always responsive and eager to help. The HR functions make it easy to manage enrollments and anniversaries for our employees. Also the reports tab is filled with a ton of options to pull practically any data you could ever need, and it's even got a report builder that you can customize to meet whatever criteria you are looking for.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only downside that I have experienced with APS is that the tracking information for our payroll delivery isn't readily available. It must be requested from the support team. Usually our FedEx delivers first thing the morning after payroll is submitted, but occasionally a new driver will miss our delivery and it is a headache trying to track it down. It would be nice if we could get an automated message with the tracking number when our payroll is sent to the carrier.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS has really helped our company streamline our payroll process. We save countless hours every week not having to submit direct deposits, print checks, and send out vouchers.

APS is very user friendly and simple for staffing

Being technology based it is at the mercy of the internet quality. An offline continution would be perfect.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Iniformity first and foremost, then I would have to say paper work reduction/use of paper products. The hiring process, when staff use it correctly is quick and seamless.

APD is simle and intuitive to use.  If there is a task that is not cleare, the online search, help files and support team are super efficient.  During the set up the implememtaton team and training personnel were very patient and able to address any quetions or concerns I had.

Sometimes it is a puzzle to figure out how to do something.    But when eeded, the support team is there to help.

Not only did  APS save us many hour each week  on processing payroll, it makes it simple to send out communicaton to our entire team.

**What do you like best about APS?**

The technology and customer service.  APS has figured out how to keep payroll simple and is always there when I need them with unmatched support.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

While more of an inconvenience, I would like to be able to view/download a PDF version of pay statements and tax forms on their APP. I'd also like to be able to upload payroll entries

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides helping me manage my payroll and file my taxes, APS provides me with my QuickBooks journal entry export and the online reporting I need to manage my general ledger.

Each team member that I have interacted with has made me feel like I am the #1 priority.  If they don't know an answer, then they do thier best to find someone that does.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I don't like how I have to submit work orders for deductions for payroll and deductions that are state specific and legally required are not always known by APS.  I think that I should be able to set up my own deductions and not have to wait several pay periods for them to show up.

Guide you through, and have a team to assist you. The team that I rely on has been phenomenal.

Create a list or outline of what is needed during our onboarding process. It can be easy to get lost on what we need to do and what has been done. It would be easier for me to check it off: this has been done and this is still needed.

The set up & training was comprehensive. The training facilitator, Ashley Bullock, and the project manager, Sarah Burkholder listened to my needs, went above & beyond to ensure my understanding, and got us up and running.  Our Account Team is very responsive to any questions or additional needs.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

It took a little bit to remember all the menu options & sequence of selections to complete a payroll batch.

I want to use APS for Onboarding & Performance Management, but I can't seem to find the time.

**What do you like best about APS?**

My trainers and support team at APS have been such an amazing team to work with. I was sckeptical at first because they were requiring a lot of information about a lot of different aspects from my company but with the help  of the team we were able to get things set up and moving in the right direction. I am so happy with our decision and life has become so much easier as far as time management and payroll.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

There is nothing that I would say that I do not like, setup was a little tretcherous but overall I am very pleased now that all of that is behind me.

They are making sure that my taxes are paid on time, they are handling time management for employees that I do not get to see on a daily basis.

APS is ready and available to help anytime. It is nice for the tickets to go in to someone who is available rather than having a specific person to rely on

It is fairly common but not being able to terminate people until their last pay check has been an issue.

It has been really nice having all the HR core pieces in one software with the employee being able to see and be reminded of the last document.

Most useful is User- Friendly , and E-verification system is really good.

Onboarding process we are not sure yet how it's going to work about signing the policy and documents.Overall good experience.

**What do you like best about APS?**

I like that APS Payroll has an integrated Payroll and HR system - and that I can manage the individual enrollments for our employees. I also like that I can load all of our benefit documents into the system, which allows our employees access to the information at any time.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I wish our benefit plan setup would allow more customization, such as editing coverage & benefit option titles and allowing us to add an amount to our opt-outs (as our employees receive cash in-lieu of electing certain benefits). I would also like to be able to change an employee's benefits - versus terminating current coverage and adding coverage with the changes.

Easily administer the majority of our benefits and enrollments.

I am a small business and not a large APS account, but I have a dedicated support team always available to provide timely and effective support.  I find the software easy to use and user friendly, so I don't have to use support often.

I think the reporting module can be improved, but when I've had an issue, a support team member was able to walk me through the fix.

We started with payroll but wanted to integrate benefits, applicant tracking, performance reviews and COBRA.  They have done an excellent job in all areas.  It is easy to use and no matter what the question, someone has responded quickly and with correct answers.

Building the carrier connections has taken longer than we thought.

It is truly integrated and has been easy to use and easy to teach someone new.

APS Payroll Solutions is very user friendly and they have the best customer service agents. I never have a bad experience when I have a question or issue.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I don't love the Report Builder. It's sometimes difficult to get the specific information I need in one report.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS Solution helps to eliminate human errors when processing payroll. Also their reports make it easy to do ACA and EEOC reporting.

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS being the smaller size payroll company allows the attention that we appreciate having at our fingertips. The TLC that we've received is great.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Generic emails that may not be applicable are sent out. ie. filling out Florida paperwork for e-verify meanwhile e-verify is only required if we have more than 25 employees in Florida. This information is even listed in the email. 

The application is not able to do as many imports and exports as we were able to do with ADP. Further, we were promised a click of a button to generate entries to our Intacct system. After close to 4 years, we are still manually tweaking the entry in order to make it balance for Intacct import.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS is able to trouble shoot and resolve the issue at hand. But, I don't find that we are seeking the root cause and fixing the issues from a long term perspective due to limited resources.

**What do you like best about APS?**

Their support team is one of the best support teams I've worked with. Their systems and processes are quick and easy to use. Reports generated are very detailed and I love the customization of their tools.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Unfortunately, they are very quick to take aware all of their tools. Once you display signs of difficulty they would much rather push everything back on to the user than provide their support.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS fully integrated on ourboarding and payroll systems. It seemlessly would input a new hire into our database and payroll was very quick and easy to run. If they didn't have a prebuilt report, you can customize your own for any documentation needed.

**What do you like best about APS?**

I am an accountant for several companies that use APS Payroll. While I do not run payroll, I use APS on a weekly basis for reporting and importing payroll data into the books. Given the scope of service APS provides to my clients, I feel that the cost is extremely reasonable. The service is also reliable. After using APS for nearly a decade, I can only recall one or two instances when payroll did not run on time. I also find their customer support to be responsive, although more technical issues can prove tricky to solve.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I have had some issues with exporting data into Quickbooks Online - specifically with companies that use class tracking in their payroll runs. It's not an insurmountable issue, but, last I checked, the documentation provided on the APS website is inaccurate for these circumstances and, even after a very lengthy correspondence, APS support could never fix the issue. I did, however, find a workaround with which I am reasonably satisfied. This shouldn't be an issue for Sage users, as I believe APS offers direct integration with that software.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The GJE exports for Quickbooks are helpful and have been a huge time saver. That said, it did take a while to figure out how to handle these with payrolls that use class tracking.

APS is extremely user-friendly. Integration and implementation did take some time, but it was a very easy transition afterward. I use the program daily. If there are any issues, your account team responds quickly to messages. We researched and met with several companies before choosing APS. I would make the same decision if I had it to do over.

There are features I don't use through APS, but there is nothing I dislike about those I do use.

I have enjoyed the connectivity of APS directly to Sage Intacct.  This makes my life so much easier.  I also like how everything is managed by the employee directly. This allows for our HR team to focus on more pressing items versus admin tasks.

I think the custom reporting could be easier/better to obtain the information for certain needs. I also wish I could call for help vs. submitting a ticket.

**What do you like best about APS?**

The customer service is amazing. From the initial sales pitch, through all of the set up, the response was very quick and kind. Also, being in Ohio, we have a lot of small cities with their own taxes along with school district taxes. They helped put this all together and has been on top of our Unemployment payments as well. We have been using them for 7 months now, and we are very pleased! Also, the app for employees to access their paystubs is very user friendly.

Somtimes the reports are a little tough to figure out, but again, with customer service being so quick, it did not really hinder anything

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our payroll issues. At some point we would like to integrate the time/attendance feature and possibly HR. We were working with a terrible payroll company before where we were the middle-man in order for our employees to get paid. Sometimes payroll would take 2 days to get it all set up. With APS, I can complete payroll in 15-20 minutes, and that is only because I need to add up our time cards manually. (We currently do not have the time/attendance option). Also, we currently have 4 companies through APS and we can very easily toggle between the companies as all one login.

I have also worked with the same representative and they are patient when I have questions and help me solve my issues.

Fantastic easy to use and intuitive platform. May not have as many integrations or frills as other providers, but big cost savings against larger competitors. We had a lot of customer service issues with our previous provider and APS has gone above and beyond our expectations - extremely friendly and helpful staff.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Implementation took longer than expected. They pull in specialists for various modules (benefits, carrier connections, applicant tracking, onboarding) and stack them sequentially rather than parallel. It makes it so it's not overwhelming, but feels more drug out than it needs to be.

Nicely integrated system. Applicant Tracking/Onboarding uses a 3rd party tool, but speaks to the main platform pretty seamlessly. We have fairly complex payroll needs that are able to be handled fairly easily in the platform.

The interface/UI is far behind competitors in terms of ease of use. Administering HR/Benefits is not intuitive versus some of the other offerings out there. The reporting sytem is clunky, and also not intuitive.

APS is combined with R365. I didn't choose it specfically - it was bundled with R365. The problem being solved was integrated our hiring/onboarding/payroll to reduce admistrative burden.  That goal was acheived.

Customer service is by far the best thing about APS Payroll. Team 10 is the best! Anytime I run into a scenario that I don't understand, they are always there and ready to help walk me through it. The program is fairly simple to navigate. Reporting is great and exportable into other programs. We are very happy with the service.

APS has done a fantastic job integrating into our systems and making the transition smooth.  Then they were great at adding our new 403b provider into the process.  Now thanks to APS, our entire payroll function is seamless, from timecards and time off requests through tax and fringe payments to our financial systems.  The staff like the employee portal, and HR loves the communication tools.  Additionally, when an issue comes up, the support team at APS has been swift in talking us through the steps or making needed modifications to our settings.  Enrolling with APS has exceeded my goals.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

My only dislike is more about change versus a dislike.  We are more accustomed to employees approving their timecards before the manager does.  APS process has this the opposite way.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary objective of transitioning to APS was to create redundancy for our organization.  We are a non-profit and work diligently to maximize the spending on our senior clients.  Therefore, we have a small finance department and needed a means to create a contingency plan for payroll processing cost-effectively.  We moved our in-house processing and payments to another cost-effective organization, but the performance and support were considerably lacking.  Now with APS, I can process payroll remotely or have the support to help walk the HR Director through processing.  Either option is simple to implement and ensures no problems or late payments.

None. After my consulting ended, the company experienced so many issues with implementation that they pulled the contract.

**What do you like best about APS?**

Work with real-life people whether over the phone or chat. They're quick to respond and they're constantly updating features to make the system more user-friendly. They actually ask for your feedback when testing new features.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Some of the performance review features could be more useful if they were able to be more customizable, there aren't many options when creating templates. Also, the way you save the templates could be more user-friendly. But considering they take your feedback into consideration, I assume this will be fixed soon.

Combining my HR needs in one system.

I like the inclusivity that APS offers.  Having everything in one place is exactly what a growing company like ours needs.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only thing I dislike about APS is when I forget where I found the perfect report and by my own fault did not save it, so sometimes navigating back is hard.

APS solves all of our job postings, onboarding, performance reviews, benefits administration all the way to payroll.  The benefits provided by APS are all of them!

APS is a reasonably decent payroll and HRIS system. It is inexpensive and mostly works without major bugs, but it is not pretty or particularly simple for employees.
