Just a quick note — except for Hubstaff, none of the tools listed here are actually dedicated time tracking solutions. Most of them are project or workforce management platforms that happen to include time tracking as a minor feature, but that’s not their core strength.

If you’re specifically looking for simple and reliable time tracking, I’d recommend checking out actiTIME if you also need project budgeting. It is built with time tracking at the core, not as an afterthought — which makes a big difference in usability and reporting.
