(So far, mostly good)" 0/5 What do you like best about APS? \*Updated - APS did not uphold the terms of our agreement and we got out of the contract and moved to a different payroll system. They fired the only person who was helpful during the implementation, and things went downhill from there. We started shopping almost as soon as we started the implementation. Don't waste your time. All in one system, our previous setup had three different systems managing performance reviews, recruiting, and payroll. We also didn't have centralized benefits administration, which we're hoping makes for an easier open enrollment this year. We also hope the reporting capabilities will reduce the need for manual tracking via Google sheets. The training was done well, just not as quickly as we had hoped. UI/UX is not very intuitive, some tabs seem redundant, I typically have to look several places for information before finding the correct spot. The same is true of eselfserve - for example, employees don't update their direct deposit info in the "Pay" tab, they update it in the "Info" tab. There are several missing features, like having employee managers as a built-in field (you can create a custom field to track this, but it adds unnecessary administrative burden). Implementation has also been much longer than we were promised (4-6 weeks, and it's taken 3 months and still isn't complete). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you? Centralized, all in one HRIS. Reducing the use of multiple systems. Hopefully streamlined hiring to onboarding to starting. Checklists for onboarding that allow us to keep track of tasks and ensure everything is completed before an employee's first day and nothing is missed. Hopefully easier open enrollment, prior year's open enrollment was a lot of manual data entry by both the employee and the administrator, it added administrative burden, hopefully APS syncing with our providers streamlines the process and reduces errors. Parts of the system are very easy to use. Processing payroll is quite simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about APS? Benefits does not allow for different waiting periods based on employee classification. Data can be changed far too easily; there is no "save" button or confirmation after a change is made in many fields. Scheduling is far too basic and does not allow labeling of different positions. The ATS and onboarding do not work well, and they don't communicate with the HRIS effectively. The integration with GP is awful, and the accounting process is limited. Their default answer to any request is "No, that can't be done" or "We don't do that," even though throughout the sales process we were told they could and would make our requests priority since we were one of their biggest clients. So far it is not a good solution for our mid-sized company. They overpromised throughout the sales process but have not delivered on much. Every time we ask for something that we were told during the sales process would be easy to do, the implementation team pushes back and says they don't do that. The functionality is not designed for multi-unit locations. The onboarding process is clunky and has no supporting documentation. The implementation has been extremely painful and no one at APS seems to have any urgency to get things done. The employee upload was incorrectly done multiple times and is still not right.
