APS works smoothly and incorporates everything I need into the system with few complications. Teaching yourself how to use it is simple and easy.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Dislike may be a strong word, but the system isn't fancy. If you're looking for bells and whistles- fancy dashboards, interactive community tools, lots of HR templates, this isn't it.

I have experienced no problems. Customer support is fast and helpful. In terms of benefits, it's an easy to use tool for onboarding, basic file management, and payroll

- Their support team is fantastic, unmatched. Linea has been a huge help several times. 
- Ability to include 1099s. 
- It is very affordable.

There are some obvious/basic functions that are missing in APS from a payroll administrator standpoint. Some functions should be automatic (ex: CA meal violations). There are some small features missing like the ability to change the time zone for the clock in system.

The Time Card is a simple interface - intuitive, very easy for me to orient new employees.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Cannot pull some data from the system.  Specifically, I have had trouble with pulling 401k deductions percentages which I need for an audit.

It is a good system, I would recommend it.

Going from paper based to electronic solutions.  This year was the first that I used the electronic benefits enrollment and it went very well.

dedicated support team that we can get to via phone or email; as a growing company, the system has a lot of the functions we need and want, and it's very user friendly.

I have no dislikes about the payroll system

cost savings and better system - we migrated from ADP, they not only over-charged for the services they're providing, but also made mistakes that we would have correct manually.

The applications are user friendly, all reports needed are available. When I need information not available in the reports I am able to build my own report. If I run into a road block, I am always able to get the help needed from the representatives 

**What do you dislike about APS?**

I have not found any dislikes over my years utilizing the application. My only dislike is that I had a dedicated account Manager (Linda White) when I began, so she was familiar with me and our company, and there was never a need to explain over and over my needs. We built a relationship.

Any time there has been an issue, we find a solution. Benefits are the numerous options for tracking and reporting

Sometimes the screens are not very intuitive.

Go through the training and get to know the customer service people.  They are friendly and very helpful.

Reporting of taxes, etc is much easier now.  APS does all the work.
Making changes to individual checks is so easy.

I appreciate how it walks you through each step, and guides you through the processing. I was scared and intimidated by being told I was to learn payroll, but the G2 Payroll System makes it less of a daunting task!

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The only thing I dislike is that it is unable to provide payroll processing totals before submittal. It makes calculating an estimate more difficult and giving accounting an educated guess for funds rather than an exact count

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

It is such a great system to process payroll on, I feel like having a support team on top of a Help Center is beyond helpful, so I know I can get answers to most of my questions 24/7. 
The videos and training that is provided is very informative, and the support team can answer any further nuanced questions that I might have.

Problems are right in front of you, and easy to understand. Its great that you can see a summary of each individual before processing

**What do you like best about APS?**

APS is an all in one payroll service. All you have to do is input employees times and process payroll. They file and submit all taxes for you. Your employees can pull their own paystubs and W2’s from the same account that they use to clock in. Great for commission employees too. I love how easy it is to pull different reports on employees and track their vacation and sick time as well. Helps you remember when annual reviews are due too. They have a quarter of the price as ADP and offer the same services. Their customer service is amazing too. I’ve been working with them for 6 years and they are always very helpful. Couldn’t recommend them more! 5 Stars ⭐️

I truly don’t have any complaints. I’ve only ever had positive experiences.

Tracking employees hours, benefits, sick/vacation time, annual reviews, 401K contributions.

**What do you like best about APS?**

Processing payroll has never been so easy.  If we do happen to have a problem, the APS Help Center and our dedicated account managers are always available and get the issue take care of immediately.  Our account managers are friendly, courteous, and willing to go above and beyond. I love having HR, Benefits, Recruiting & Hiring, and Payroll all together!

**What do you dislike about APS?**

We had always processed our payroll in-house which was quite a different process.  I guess, for me, the only downside was possibly during implementation because the software was unfamiliar and I didn't know what I didn't know. APS Payroll is user-friendly and the Implementation team was very helpful, followed up by our very knowledgeable account managers. 

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

I would read the reviews, ask questions of current users if possible, and take your time making a decision. I vetted 9 different HRIS/payroll software systems, read copious reviews about each one, and talked to several users of different systems and APS had a solid reputation with rave reviews.  APS is continually improving their software and mobile application to accommodate feedback from their users. 

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned, we had always processed payroll in-house through our accounting software. We also had a separate HRIS system that just tracked HR with Benefits processed through yet another separate software, and timekeeping was through a fourth software. Being able to have all the modules in one software solution has been wonderful, not to mention a real time saver!

The fast and knowledgeable customer service has been my favorite feature since our transition.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

APS has streamlined so much of my admin work in relation to payroll and benefits, but I would say the one feature that could use some work would be the payroll ledger export data. I still have to manually adjust the tax account offset codes in the GL export after every payroll. It isn't hard and the payroll reports provide all of the info needed to make the adjustments, but it will be great when the manual adjustment is no longer required. 

**Recommendations to others considering APS:**

If you are looking for a system to delivery exactly what they promise and for a price that the more flashy vendors (ADP, Paycom, etc.) can't even come close to, APS is a great option. APS has far surpassed our expectation in value. 

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's been amazing to have the seamless transfer of employee data into payroll from the on-boarding feature. The customized export for our weekly 401k contribution submission is a great time saving feature that we didn't have previously. Also, APS has made customized data import options available for our payroll batches as needed. So convenient!

APS is very quick to respond and help find solutions, even if it's a silly process I can't remember how to do. The online help center is a great resource. I am a smaller company with no HR department, therefore I need a lot of assistance (more than normal) as it is one of the many hats I wear. That being said APS is always there to help me solve and challenges I may have quickly.

**What do you like best about APS?**

Their customer support is the best!  I love that we have a dedicated team of specialist that I can see online before I even submit a ticket.  I usually get the same person, Kay, every time and she is very quick and responsive in helping solve any issues or questions I have.  Coming from ADP where we had to wait sometimes an hour or longer to speak to a live person, being able to speak to someone in 5 minutes is AMAZING!

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The ONLY thing I dislike about APS is the reporting output format.  While it gives me the information I need, prior to exporting to excel or PDF, it always looks nicer on screen than it does in the printout.  I wish they could keep the formatting of reports throughout which would be great.  But that's really just nitpicking.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll is much faster to do now.  While ADP worked, there were lots of links, tabs, and pages that could be overwhelming/unnecessary for a small business.  Trying to find specific reports was a nightmare and customer service was non-existent.  We are able to process payroll faster, get better answers and help, and have more time to focus on other aspects of the business.

The system is very intuitive and easy to implement. the BEST thing about it is the fact that it is american based support in Shreveport Louisiana. I have dealt with other providers in the past and it is horrible to have your customer service non us based and take 4 days for an answer. with APS i usually get quick effective answers or solutions to any issue that i experience.

The mobile app isnt as robust as some of their competitors but i can live with that. that is a minor issue that will be fixed over time

**What do you like best about APS?**

Maintaining company documents, training videos, and allowing employees to view their timecards is super beneficial for our daily work. Our employees review their timecards before their supervisors and alert them of any errors that may have occurred during the pay period. If our HR team ever has any questions or concerns about APS, they are super quick to respond! We always hear back within the next hour or two with a solution to our issue or at the least, an answer. Communication with their customer service is outstanding.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

The user interface makes it a little more time consuming to navigate through employee timecards then back to their employee details. APS was able to make slight adjustments to our requests specifically but there are still large user interface technicalities that could be improved.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

APS Hire has become the main source of our application reviewing process. It is simple and to the point, very direct to navigate through and contact the applicant. Currently we are still trying to figure out a better way to navigate between time tracking and employee details to save time throughout the day.

1. Very clear and detailed split;
2. Our account managers always manually remind us on the day of payroll submission and even offer assistance to submit it for us. The service and care APS provides is superb.

I think it will be better if it could have a non-banking day schedule for a full month on the Payroll page. Currently it only shows next non-banking date, so we would have to confirm with the account manager manually.

The most helpful thing about APS Payroll is being able to review the entire batch report before submitting. It gives you a snapshot of what everyone paycheck will look like and make it easy to identify the issues before sending it out.

One thing we would like APS to add is multiple pay grades in one paycheck. They did have a round about way to do it but it would be nice if we could be able to show x amount of hours per each pay grade.

I like how it can connect to a hiring portal. It is great that it can be a one-stop place to do both payroll and HR projects. It's nice to have a dedicated team that you work with and will help with any situation that comes up.

The main dislike is that they are not a local company, and we don't have a contact in the state. It is also a dislike of the work that has to be done to add benefits. Also with holiday set-up customizing can be tough if you want to give part-time or 3/4 holiday pay.

We are solving payroll, and we are working on adding in the Reviews aspect of APS to use with our employees.

**What do you like best about APS?**

The staff is very friendly and helpful and returns my calls promptly.  

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Probably that you do not have an extended call line.  I know that for us in Alaska that if it is late in the day and I am doing payroll, I won't be getting any assistance from you. 

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that you are always improving your product.  I am glad you take our suggestions into consideration and try to make them work.

**What do you like best about APS?**

The simplicity of pulling reports, creating payroll and using the sight is a great feature for the busy payroll admin.

**What do you dislike about APS?**

Reports were very confusing at first. They could be a little simpler, but after you figure them out it's easy enough.

**What problems is APS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit of having APS is not having to manually figure out taxes for W2 employees.
