Sometimes the generated models need extra cleanup, especially around small details or more complex shapes. I'd also like to see more consistent results between generations and a bit more control over specific details. It would be great to have more fine-grained controls for editing specific parts of a generated model instead of regenerating the whole asset. Our implementation took longer than expected in the vetting and sales process. Some of our use cases, like managing expirations, are not set up in the primary system, though the team helped us find a workaround. One thing I dislike about Animaker is that some of the best features are only available in the paid version. The free version has limited options and adds a watermark to exported videos. Honestly, I don’t have many complaints. Every now and then I end up recording the same video again because I miss a step or say something wrong, but that’s more on me than on the product.

It solves a problem I run into pretty often as a QA engineer: trying to explain an issue using only text. Even with a few screenshots and a long description, things still aren’t always clear. Recording a quick two-minute video usually communicates the problem much better.

Not much really. The ability to start off in UK English each time rather than defaulting to US English is about the only thing I can think of. We used to record our videos in person using a video studio. Not only was this expensive but also it meant that everytime we needed to change anything the whole video had to be re-recorded. Synthesia has not only made the studio unnecessary but we are now able to keep our presentations up to date and can even personalise them to different users.

I feel something that could be improved is just looking for a way in which my end clients, like our customers, can have better access to our imagery. We're constantly working on creating collections and then sending them over for our clients to choose the images that they wanna see on their websites. And I know we have portals, but that has a lot of limitations. For our clients, we would just love for clients to be able to see, like, a vast amount of images in a very easy way. I don't have significant problems with the software, but the process of launching the software and getting users across my organization with varying levels of technical proficiency, buy-in, and different needs to consistently use a centralized platform like MediaValet was difficult. I initially had trouble accessing the Unlimited Mode as part of the Pro plan I subscribed to. It took several business days before the issue was resolved, and it required a lot of back and forth, videos, and screenshots to identify and explain the problem and eventually get it sorted.

I can imagine some people who don't have the patience for these kind of tech issues may not stick around if things don't work right day one. I think as the company matures they will need more immediate support for non-enterprise users.

Asset generation.

For me in particular, I wanted to get back into design and that can be extremely daunting given the amount of time and resources it requires to sculpt, animate, and populate the kind of digital environment I'm looking to create.

Akool has streamlined the workflow process from YEARS down to weeks. This level of effortless asset generation that can be done using a few sketches and prompts to create high-quality, product-ready assets is amazing, and it has sped up my timeline for planning, creation, and refinement by a significant margin.

Unfortunately, the agent does not always listen to your instructions. A significant amount of time and money is lost in recreating and fixing the mistakes that are made. Changes made to PDF exporting have been extremely disappointing after being very simple yet effective for us for 5-6 years.

The only longterm annoyance we've had is when managing the removal of attributes that are no longer of use to us. I wish it was easier to remove these attributes from the system without having to go into every channel, e-catalogue and sheet which the attributes previously been tagged into. We're an organisation spread far and wide, this was also the case for our product data and digital files. I Feel that when handling many educational graphics and media files together, finding older assets can sometimes take extra manual organization. For daily content work it works well, but during busy projects I feel media browsing and file management could become little more smooth. Also, some image processing or transformation updates may need refreshing before the final result appears properly. When you upload a file, it’s simple to manage it and replace it with a new version, which avoids the drama of hunting down v1, v2, v3, and “final” versions.
