What do you like best about PathFactory?

We like the features: breadth and depth of tagging options, flexibility to promote content using their various promoters, and the ability to create custom landing pages and microsites. What do you dislike about PathFactory?

What do you dislike about PathFactory?

- Content management puts onus on user to ensure content is added and updated correctly. Hard to leverage it out at an enterprise level due to the lack of robust content management. Duplicate content assets is a constant challenge

- Integrations with our MAP and CRM are not native integrations, requiring some complicated behind-the-scenes integration work, which can be hard to set up and troubleshoot.

- Many small elements of the app have small but frustrating UI aspects. Searching for existing content can be difficult.

- Track level reporting is easy to use and and provides great insights, but can't be filtered/sliced by some very useful dimensions such as traffic channel and campaign. The Looker enabled reports don't quite cover the gap as A) they are somewhat clunky to use and B) rarely show the full data picture Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool for binging content"
What do you like best about PathFactory?

The ability to customize and personalize tracks based on different content topics, types, tags, customers, use cases...etc. The tracks have worked really well for getting site visitors to binge a lot of content in one visit. In addition, we utilize both the hard and soft gate options which provide a much better experience for our already cookied users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PathFactory?

It's a very manual process to get content into the backend of PathFactory and keep it organized. I suggest going into implementation with a plan on how to organize. The UI is tricky to navigate and sometimes the tracks themselves are slow to load on our website. I also wish the out-of-the-box version of PathFactory was better styled so you didn't have to invest so much time and effort into customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome way to measure content engagement and promote further engagement"
What do you like best about PathFactory?

PathFactory has been a game-changer for us in terms of identifying highly-engaged leads and measuring content effectiveness. It works very well with HubSpot which is critical for us. We use PathFactory links for social, email, and event customer success training. We created a new email nurture program using PathFactory, and were able to create a hyper-customized nurture experience using this tool.

We also have an exceptional Solutions Architect, Chriscelle, who's been incredibly helpful in resolving any/all technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PathFactory?

Overall, it's a great platform. The UX/UI on the admin end is pretty clunky and visually outdated.

On a more detailed note:

Bugs — it sounds small, but PathFactory uses featured images/thumbnails that are 4:3, which are outdated (standard size is 16:9). This means that we need to redesign featured images for all of our content just for PathFactory, which puts a ton of strain on our design team. We've been talking to PathFactory's team about it for months, but it's still an ongoing issue. We've also occasionally had issues with PathFactory links not displaying correctly when posting to social.

Functionality limitations — Explore pages haven't worked as expected. All of the content in an Explore page has to go into a single track. We'd hoped to move our blog over to an explore page, but a 175 asset track is a really poor UX. PathFactory recently created "Micro Sites" to get around this, but it will require the assistance of a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PathFactory?

PathFactory provides a breadth of metrics to evaluate the performance of content across multiple dimensions. It's also a tool that we can leverage in lots of different situations where we want to get content in front of people, from our recruiting efforts to contact nurturing to ABM to lead generation and everything in between. What do you dislike about PathFactory?

We would love to get more people in PathFactory creating tracks in all parts of the business, but the pay-per-user model isn't that scalable. We find that we have lots of users who do things only sometimes, and it's difficult to justify paying for a license for someone who isn't using it every day.
