**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

I rely heavily on the tracking and reminder system, and it’s been excellent for making sure I never miss a follow-up with either prospects or current clients. Having clear visibility into exactly who opened my emails is a real game-changer. On top of that, the sequences feature lets me manage mass targeting without having to do everything manually, which has noticeably streamlined my day-to-day workflow.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

The biggest missing piece for me is the lack of native call recording in Google Meet. I’d really like to be able to share the actual video file from our meetings alongside my written recaps, because it would be much better for team coaching and for keeping everyone aligned on specific deal details.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

The Reminders feature has genuinely saved me a lot of grief in my day-to-day work. It’s extremely easy to schedule follow-ups, which helps ensure nothing important slips through the cracks, especially during the busiest phases of a project. The Sequences tool is another major plus, since it lets me send targeted email blasts to our stakeholders in minutes instead of spending hours on them.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

The biggest drawback for me is the complete lack of a native iOS app. Because of the nature of my work, I’m often on construction sites or traveling between offices, so having to rely only on the desktop browser version feels pretty limiting. It would be a real game-changer to manage my active sequences and quickly check reminders from my phone while I’m on the go.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

What I like best about Mixmax is that it makes email outreach much more measurable and strategic. I use it to track emails sent to potential investors, suppliers, and other key contacts, and it helps me see who is engaging and when. That makes it much easier to gauge interest, prioritize follow-ups, and focus my time where there is real appetite. It fits naturally into my workflow and has been very useful in making outbound communication more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

One downside is that if I want to track whether attachments are being opened, there is a risk that the email could be blocked or flagged. Because of that, I avoid using that feature even though it would be extremely helpful for my workflow. It is a valuable capability in theory, but in practice I do not feel fully comfortable using it.

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mixmax is solving the problem of limited visibility in email outreach. When I send emails to potential investors, suppliers, and other business contacts, I do not want to just send a message and hope for the best. Mixmax helps me understand whether people are engaging, when they are opening emails, and how interested they may be. That benefits me by making follow-up more strategic, helping me prioritize the right conversations, and giving me better insight into overall appetite and timing. It saves me time, improves my outreach process, and helps me focus my energy where there is the highest potential value.

I’d really appreciate a native feature that lets us record Google Meet calls directly within the platform. Right now, we can only send written recaps, but being able to share the actual video recording with my clients would be a huge help for project clarity and smoother team handoffs.

Mixmax is definitely optimized well for a sales role for outreach to a tailored line of recipients. In my role I utilize it with specific lists tailored to a certain demographic of customers that would require follow ups or outreach with new information for our companies product. Certainly a versatile program that offers incredible analytic data to help me decide how to tailor a multiple email campaign.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

The one critique the I would have is adding a feature in the recipients category where you can easily build folders of receipts saved to your account, and easily remove or add induvial contact records before sending out a campaign. It may exists and I just haven't figure out that process yet.

It solves multi territorial outreach in various campaigning forms to hit multiple customer lists all at once, with a swift organized staging plan, with analytical data that helps make critical changes in your built sequence.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

The templates with forms and expanded links is my number one use. I love the continuity it offers my users. One template for the team keeps things consistent and easy. Holidays, birthday cards, client questionnaires and more.
Quick forms in the email saves a recipient a step. It's like having an assistant built into Gmail. The expanded links makes my emails more visually engaging than a simple web link. No more wondering who opened my messages. Tracking let's me know when a second touch or call is required. The chat window keeps your team in focus. There is now an AI assistant to help you set up your sequences/automation. MixMax is your hardest working staff member. 😄


**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

No cons so far. Been using it for almost a decade. They are responsive to user feedback and upgrade requests. New tools have arrived on a good schedule.

It's even better with Zapier. Real Estate, this is for you.

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem MixMax solves for my real estate brokerage is getting clients qualified in a single email. Getting people to fill out forms is not easy. Not having to click am email, go to a site, fill in a form, get distracted my Instagram and... Generally we lose them.

MixMax makes it fast and east to get back to me in one easy step. I get my information and an appointment all in one step.

I really like how user-friendly it is. Even with so many email campaigns in my account, it’s easy to stay organized and I never feel confused.

I also appreciate that when I add an email address to a campaign, the recipient’s name automatically populates. It’s a very efficient use of my time.

I’ve noticed that some of my recipients aren’t receiving the emails in their inbox, they’re ending up in their spam folder.

Spam placement is usually driven by a mix of sender reputation, authentication setup, list quality, and message content, so the fastest way to diagnose is to look at a few concrete examples. If you can share a recent campaign and a couple affected recipient domains, our support team can help you audit things like SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment, sending patterns, and sequence settings, and suggest adjustments to improve inbox placement.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

Without Mixmax I wouldn't be able to tell which pitches are getting attention. It doesn't just tell you when someone opens your email, but also when they click on different things in your signature or email. I have tried other tools, and Mixmax is by far my favorite. I love the Mixmax Reminded folder it creates inside my Gmail, too, so if I get distracted I can go back and follow up to the pitches that I need to.

One more thing is that it alerts you when someone opened you email 3 times so you can follow up - one of my favorite features!!

I don't think so but I am sure they will come up with something. They always work on improving.

Knowing if my emails are getting opens. This way I know if my subject lines are creative enough. It enhances my productivity immensly.

Mixmax has been super helpful in sending email cadences. It also helps me track what my employees have been sending and if they are following up in an appropriate time frame. I also really like that I can see who is clicking on and viewing my emails as I send them, I use this feature almost every day.

The reporting has been hit or miss, my leadership team is relying on me to provide accurate reporting and details, but that's not always possible. Customer support has been lacking at time as well, with long periods of time with no updates on certain items that we've asked about.

Mixmax is helping my company with email cadences and getting a hold of potential clients. This is in turn, helping my company sell our product.

I find Mixmax incredibly valuable for our consultancy's high-volume outbound campaigns, especially for managing 500 to 1,000 emails weekly with automated sequences. I appreciate how it helps maintain consistent outreach schedules, something we couldn't achieve with manual efforts alone. The AI-driven recommended send times ensure our proposals hit prospects' inboxes at peak engagement times, which really helps move leads through our sales funnel with minimal manual intervention. The dynamic engagement dashboard and sequence statistics are especially valuable. They allow us to pivot our messaging on the fly as we receive data on how our content is being consumed. The one-click scheduling feature is a major time-saver, eliminating back-and-forth emails required to book discovery calls, leading to a swift transition from initial contact to confirmed meetings. The platform supports our high weekly email volume without burning out our staff. Mixmax has transformed our outbound strategy from guessing into a data-driven operation, providing a granular view of read and open rates which helps me understand our ROI. Its interface is intuitive and dynamic, enabling quick productivity from our team.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

My primary critic is that Mixmax feels significantly more optimized for Gmail than for Outlook. Since our firm uses Outlook, we frequently run into friction regarding signature behavior and formatting consistency. It can take a considerable amount of time to get signatures and technical formatting options in place. The editor quirks in the Outlook version sometimes lead to layout discrepancies that we don't see in the Gmail environment. I would like to see the development team prioritize making the Outlook features as dynamic and seamless as their G Suite counterparts, particularly regarding how HTML signatures and complex document attachments are handled.

Love that Mixmax can help automate outreach. This used to take so much time out of my day, but now I can easily do outreach for upcoming conferences, to new prospects, etc without having to worry about following up myself. It's great that you can customize specific messages for specific people as well. Saves so much time!

It would be nice if Mixmax allowed you to send emails from multiple people, rather than just yourself. It would be great if follow up emails could come from my coordinator rather than myself as a pattern interput.

I like how Mixmax allows us to schedule prospect outreach at scale, with customized sequences for different personas. I appreciate the multi-step sequences, which can be batch uploaded and run in the background so it clears up time in my day to focus on other activities. Additionally, Mixmax has Smart Send functionality to send emails when the prospect is most likely to engage with it. It does a good job of being extremely customizable, including features to auto remove contacts from sequences that are active with another rep. Overall, it's pretty easy and intuitive to use once you get the hang of it.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

I dislike that many necessary features are gated at higher tiers of subscription, even if you only need a few of those features and not everything else from that tier.

Mixmax lets me schedule outreach at scale with custom sequences and syncs data with Salesforce, improving tracking. I like its multi-step sequences and Smart Send for better engagement, along with customization to manage contacts. It saves me time for other activities in a player/coach role.

I use Mixmax to efficiently communicate with both potential and existing customers and it really helps me make sure I follow up in a timely manner. I love having good visibility on when emails are opened and using the email reminders, which alert me if I haven't responded or if a follow-up is needed. I also love that Mixmax shows me when emails are opened and who opened them, providing a great opportunity for timely follow-ups. The sequences feature in Mixmax is really helpful for mass-targeting a large group of potential customers efficiently. The initial setup of Mixmax was smooth and great.

I wish that Mixmax had the ability for us to record our calls that are being done on Google Meet so that way we could send not just the recaps written out, but the actual call itself that is video recorded.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

It is so easy to send email sequences to leads after our call to present the proposals that we send out. MixMax is also great at giving notifications about who is reading my emails and how many times they are viewing them. It is easy to use, easy to integrate with the Gmail, and easy to implement different sequences for different clients. The team and I use MixMax multiple times a day, every day.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

The one downside is that our MixMax automations of multiple emails may be making clients feel like it is spam. Our MixMax server was showing up as malicious to some clients with third-party security services, but nothing we are sending is spam and the volume of emails being sent out per sequence is low at 3-4 emails.

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we need to send proposals out to clients, I send them the proposal in a MixMax sequence so they automatically get followed up on. We have multiple different sequences set up for the different offer types that we have so there is very little that I need to write when sending out emails. We also use the MixMax sequences to communicate with clients that have not accepted the calendar invite yet, to get them to see it and accept the invite so they do not miss the appointment.

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

Mixmax has changed my life! I own 5 businesses and have to send a lot of outbound communication including monthly emails to over 200 customers to verify if they want an order, what they want, etc.
Mixmax allows me to sequence out those emails and also to auto reply if there's no activity on the thread. What used to be 15+ hours of manual work is now 30 minutes or so. 
I also use the email templates for the dozens of standard emails I send for my various businesses. The templates allow me to easily send responses (or outreach) as well as automatically attaching decks, docs, etc. 
It is worth every penny and I wish I'd had Mixmax years ago!
This is a MUST for efficiency, organization, tracking, etc.
100% recommend!

I can't say there's anything I dislike. I don't use CRM software so maybe if there was some built in CRM that could be helpful

Saves my dozens of hours a month by automating sales outreach and automatically replying based on the rules that I can change for each sequence.
It's also hugely valuable to have the templates for both outreach and response emails. I use dozens of email templates every month.

I love that I can add collaborators to my emails. Having my coworkers as collaborators means that If someone forgets to add them to a thread/reply, they'll still have access to see the replies (which is really time saving and a blessing for when I am out of office!).

**What do you like best about Mixmax?**

Mixmax was a colleague's recommendation and I like it so much for my work email that I purchased it for my personal email shortly thereafter.

The remind me feature is really great because you can pick any date and time for the app to remind you of the email. And, you can even put a note in the reminder so you don't get confused what you're supposed to do when you get the reminder. This is huge for me because in my role I do a lot of outreach and need to follow up with contacts, and this is a great reminder feature located within Gmail.

When I was out of work and reaching out to recruiters and hiring managers, I used Mixmax daily so I knew when they engaged with my emails. I was also recommending it to others who were looking for work as well.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

I wish tracking link clicks was offered at the lower plan but I get it, they're a software company trying to get upgrades from customers. Recently, the lightning bolt in Gmail stopped showing and tracking the engagement of my emails but I reached out to their support team and they resolved the issue within a few days. They even responded after their help center hours stated so that was nice to see too.

I wish email opens were able to be tracked when sending to multiple people in the same email, too (for the lower plan). Recently (~May 2025), they dropped the number of monthly tracking from 100 to 20 on the free plan—huge bummer!

**Recommendations to others considering Mixmax:**

If there is another provider that is superior to Mixmax, I'm unaware of it. Try it now, you'll be glad you did.

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to see when a contact opens my email is great so I don't have to guess anymore whether or not it was seen. Reminding me of past emails that I want or need to take action is great, too.

I LOVE Mixmax's "Remind Me" feature. I use this about 20 times a day. I use my email inbox as my to do list and it is amazing for sending me reminders on the day I indicate. I also never miss following up with anyone as they always send the email right back to my inbox on the time I indicate!

I like it all! I have not been able to figure out how to use the Remind Me feature from Mobile but that could be more of a me problem than a Mixmax problem :)

The data it provides is helpful. On the surface, what it does it valuable. I have no qualms with the concept of their product. My issues are in the execution of it.

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

1. The MixMax tracking pixel has a destroyed domain reputation which in turn blocked our emails from recipients using Barracuda. Pretty big deal. 

2. Their support is horrible. I'm assuming they're running a lean team, but this is beyond the worst I've seen. The chat isn't answered. There is a bot, but they will EMAIL YOU when they respond to your chat. Why even have a chat at that point? The support email address is buried (as many SaaS companies are deciding to do).

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before the tracking pixel issues, it was beloved by our entire team. However, we can't have vital emails blocked in the middle of a contract signing which is what happened thanks to that dang MixMax pixel.

The templates and sequences are absolutely fantastic! I do project management and when I assign new projects to staff, I've setup a sequence that basically does my job for me and does automatic check-ins. I make deliveries to clients - all via templates and sequences too. Mixmax quite genuinely saves me at least 20 hours per week!

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

The only thing that is a shame is that it's just a Google Chrome extension. If it was its own mailing app and could be used cross-platform or on mobile that would be awesome. Other than that, it's great!

Project management check-ins with staff via sequences and multi-milestone client project deliverable email templates. Oh and awesome customer service scripts with keyword search too. Love it!

Sometimes I want to check sequences or schedule from my phone, but mobile support is limited.

Occasional Gmail Sync Glitches
Rare, but sometimes Gmail lags when MixMax loads — especially in heavy inboxes.

My favorite Mixmax features are Email Templates (using for custom email signatures and commonly used messages), Reminders to bring emails back so I can follow-up, and Send Later so I can work incognito at night to catch up without people knowing I am working after hours. I started using Mixmax before Gmail had their snooze and send later features and even though they have the same features, I am still loyal to Mixmax. I literally cannot live without Mixmax in my real estate business!

**What do you dislike about Mixmax?**

If I have scheduled an email to Send Later and then have to make edits, I used to be able to make those changes within the Outbox portion of Mixmax. Now I have to reopen it as a Draft in my Gmail inbox and then reschedule it. Mixmax also interferes with another Chrome extension I'd like to use (Text Blaze).

**What problems is Mixmax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can work in the middle of the night if needed and no one knows I'm preparing emails to go out during normal business hours. The reminder feature brings emails back to me so I don't let anything fall through the cracks.
