MS Word is so much better than Google docs b/c of all the formatting controls right at your fingertips. There are some tips/shortcuts that work in Word but not in Google docs. FORMATTING. It is difficult to figure out why Word starts and stops formatting your document...ESPECIALLY if you are using multiple bulleted lists (bullets, letters, and numbers). It's like Word gets confused.

UPDATE: I've been using Word for the last 26 years and Word is more complicated than I led on. If you just need simple then Word is fine. But again the formatting can drive you absolutely bonkers. The best thing I like about Microsoft Word is its speech-to-text fearutre. It has helped me a lot, especially because it allows me to note down what I'm thinking. Even though it is not 100% accurate, it still saves me a lot of time and effort. I can just speak out lout my ideas and it will write down what I am saying. I am not a fan of its formatting options. It is very hard sometimes to add an image or a table in the document. Harder to edit or move the table/ image around the page. It messes up the entire page format. Another element that I dislike about word is that it is hard to share a document with other people and work on it in real-time. For basic word processing it's very good. Typing, editing, saving - all work without a hitch. The program has a huge number of "extras" - tons of features. If you have Dropbox, saving your work directly to Dropbox is a winner - I do use that function all the time and its great for multiple drafts, a fixture of my particular use of Word. If you don't like Ai, which I assume is the means by which Word self-corrects your text, then you may find Word a bit domineering. There are probably ways to correct this but I'm not a Word expert. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
