What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

What I like most about Microsoft word is that since it's the original word document, it has a lot of features that are intuitive and simple to use. And if you use Microsoft word you can almost bet that anyone in the world can open and edit the document since they most likely have access to Microsoft word as well. What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

Ever since Google Docs came out, Microsoft word just doesn't cut it anymore for a few reasons. 1) It doesn't have collaboration options like Google Docs does. 2) It actually still costs money for the license of Microsoft word to download on your computer, whereas Google Docs is free. What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am writing this review using the dictate function In Microsoft Wordwithout making any edits. It allows me to save alot of time since I'm not that great at typing , but I do have to go back and edit tons of stuff. It's always misspelling things, putting weird spaces where they shouldn't be, and putting wrong words in All together. Oh, there is another issue, putting capitalizations where they shouldn't be. I have found Google Docs dictate function to be far superior and that at least gives me alternative options where there is some question about what I said. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The "edit shapes" function in Draw offers a very limited set of possibilities, e.g., an arc that is convex from above but not one that is convex from below (why?). Paint is much more effective and user-friendly. The Draw function is hardly worth learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's not solving most of my problems. I use Zotero for citations (the built-in bibliographic functions in Word are very clunky), Paint for drawing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
