I think sometimes the technical understanding of the software isn't great. I've raised some problems with the technical team, and they didn't quite always understand the issue or it was fine on their side, but it wasn't working for me. So, there are some problems that are still a little bit unresolved, and the technical knowledge could be a little bit better sometimes. The initial setup was also more complex than I anticipated. I probably underestimated how much time it would take without further support, so I would have probably asked and paid for someone to have it done for us next time. I like how Moorepay is user-friendly and helps me find my tax deductions and pension contributions. Their customer service is brilliant, especially when I had login issues and needed password recovery. They've also introduced the use of an Authenticator for viewing accounts, which enhances security for my sensitive information like my NI number. I think Moorepay is one of the best payroll service providers with excellent service. Setting it up was easy and user-friendly, especially with the support of our IT team. Probably simpler reporting tools and many variations of reports so that there's options for whichever user and company that requires different info for their planning, reporting, budgetting. I have one employee on my payroll. It took about 100 emails, 10 calls and 3 months of trying to set up direct debit for them to realise that they do not support that via my bank. They then proceed to charge me additional funds for "faster payments" which will supposedly going to work. This in reality means that I have to manually pay them in order for them to make the payments. I am therefore paying £110 per employee per month for me to do all the work and them literally doing nothing. I also opted in for them to pay the pensions and I got notices from the pension provider that I have been missing two months of payments.

They are the most incapable, unprofessional firm I have ever had to deal with in my life. If I had the ability to give this firm a -10 rating I would literally go out of my way to do so.

Please for the love of god avoid this firm at all costs. I have even made several complaints and it never got better - they seriously do not care. They will take your money and screw everything up, guaranteed. My next start-up is going to be within their industry and I will personally do everything I can for them to go bust. There's only one minor drawback: in terms of customization, I have found it slightly on the clunky side when it comes to reports. I believe that the basic reports are relatively easy to understand It takes one or two attempts to get the right figure formats required in the preparation of taxes.
