Another thing that I like about this application is it also works without the internet! So I have to keep changing and editing the words and statements to ensure the translation is correct. It even translates colloquialisms fairly well into and out of English. I can speak both languages, but I am not fluent in Spanish, so I can check both and see if the translations are accurate. Of course, no translator is perfect, but Google translate does pretty well, and there are so many options about how you can input the text (voice, photo, typing, conversation, etc.). I have not used it for many languages outside Spanish. **What do you dislike about Google Translate?** Sometimes when you copy the translation from the web browser and add it to the document, the formatting is locked, and it has a grey background, and it is hard to change the formatting in Microsoft Word and some email servers. **Recommendations to others considering Google Translate:** There is an app with more translation options but also web browser capabilities. We can translate any document by scanning through a camera or from any pictures. It sometime does not give the exact translation & also ruins the meaning. I grew up speaking Spanish only in the household so I never took any formal Spanish classes until I got to college. So I speak much better than I write. At times I use Google translate just to ensure that I am spelling stuff correctly. When doing this I notice that it is pretty accurate! Google translate seems to be a very effective and foolproof way to translate a sentence properly. I do not know how effective it is with other languages, mind you. But if it is as good as it is with Spanish then that is pretty amazing. It has a simple and easy-to-use interface. **What do you dislike about Google Translate?** I wish that if you were on a Chrome browser or a google system that you could highlight with your mouse any sentence in any language and then press one button to translate it to the language to English. (Of course, you could change the language in the settings that it would translate to). **What problems is Google Translate solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work for a company where I talk to a lot of Spanish speakers, sometimes through a messaging system. I will use Google translate to double check my work. A benefit of this is using it as a safeguard against misspelling and errors. ### 48. Also, 80% of drivers whit who I work speaks Spanish so google translate helps me whit that also. I very much like that this service can encompass virtually any type of language throughout the world, even some that I think most people might not have even known about, which is very neat and unique. Thirdly, I enjoy the fact that this service is complimentary to use, with or without a Google account, and that it can be accessed on virtually any desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, as long as that device is connected to the internet. As a result, this service can be taken on the go on business trips and/or vacations in order to translate a variety of messages in foreign countries, just for example. Overall, the value provided by this service is excellent, and I would definitely recommend it to others who require a decent translation service. **What do you dislike about Google Translate?** If I were to point out something that I dislike about this service, it would be the fact that although translations might come out as grammatically correct, which is excellent at a bare minimum, they might not come out in the form that natives are familiar with, maybe because of their various dialects or unique spins on the language. In other words, although the translation might come out technically accurate, they might seem somewhat strange to someone who is a native speaker of the language you are trying to translate to. This, however, is not a big letdown and should not prevent someone from using this service, as the pros definitely outweigh the cons. **What problems is Google Translate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some problems I am solving with Google Translate include understanding what someone else is saying or writing should I not understand that individuals' language. This is very convenient in foreign settings and even domestically when speaking or doing business with someone unfamiliar with the language you primarily talk and write in. The benefits I have realized are great, as I do not require the assistance of a paid individual who would have otherwise needed to do this task. Convenience as a whole is also a big help in regards to this service. ### 50.
