Microsoft Word has long been the go-to app on both Mac and PC platforms for written communication. Clients are always sending me files in MS Word and I am sending files back and no matter what platform we are working on, the files work the way they are supposed to. I appreciate that this is the standardised app used worldwide as the default, despite the presence of many other options. While highly capable, Microsoft Word can sometimes feel overwhelming for new users because of the large number of features hidden in different menus.
