**What do you like best about Axero?**

I like creating spaces for each department and seeing their updates. It's great for company-wide communication announcements, providing a single place to house all updates and communications. If you want your department space to look like a website, then Axero is for you. People can collaborate, comment on videos, and post or articles you share. When you create a space, you have a place for your department to house all updates, org charts, or anything related to your department which others in the organization can access, view, and collaborate on. Also, Axero support is amazing, and I remember we had a weekly meeting with Dom from Axero.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

It can be a bit challenging because sometimes you need to learn some coding and if you really want your space to look great you have to really learn the ins and outs like uploading raw HTML, copying and pasting stuff from Canva, and embed codes to Axero. It was not easy but Axero support is amazing. I remember we had a weekly meeting with Dom from Axero.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axero serves as our company intranet, centralizing training materials, communications, and updates. It creates departmental spaces that look like websites, enabling collaboration and easy access to information.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

I like how easy it is to find the necessary documents that we are looking for. It is a great resource for content management.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

I wish it were a little easier for non-software developers to use the site on the backend. It is a less user-friendly for non-marketers.

We are using Axero for our internal intranet! It makes things a lot easier to link for information and give employees information quickly.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

Axero has been constantly improving their already well-developed platform. The uptime and responsiveness of the webpages is great, and users love the look and feel of it. The administration is simple and easy to understand, more importantly it has well documented administrative processes. The support has been very attentive for the few times I've had to reach out with questions. I think one of the best examples is Axero recently updating and releasing ACME for our internal website. They took it upon themselves to provide real benefit to their users, without charging any extra or causing any issues on roll out.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

I've been quite pleased with Axero so far, I haven't run into any road blocks.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Typically an intranet site would be hosted locally using on premises hardware. By hosting our intranet site through Axero, it allows us administrators to spend more time creating value for the business as opposed to troubleshooting another locally hosted service. This increases our uptime, as Axero has redundancy already in place.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

I like that I can easily communicate important long updates that include documentation, which people can easily consult in the future, without having to resort to email or Slack. Axero helps me have a centralized internal communication channel with many teams within my company.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

The search functionality is very limited. If we want to build something more complex, like indicating the target persona or using other customized filters or variables, we would need to get a developer involved, which defeats the whole purpose of having a user-friendly platform.

Axero helps me maintain a centralized internal communication channel with many teams, allowing me to post internal documentation and communicate important updates effectively, eliminating the need for email or Slack.

Axero provides an interface and administration capabilities that are so easy to use, and the customization options are truly endless. The ease of use in user administration and configuration of pages is amazing compared to other similar solutions I have used.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

I would say I would love more audit reporting capabilities. Being able to pull a report of all users and what spaces each user had access to would be a huge help!

The way Axero provides a solution to post important updates in a central location is amazing, and the administration of user permissions and rights is really easy to use as well.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

I appreciate that we can house all important information in one place for employees to access when needed. I also like that we can customize things to our preferences. Not having to update documents in multiple places is great.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

I can't think of any, but I am also not the one uploading content and didn't participate in the implementation, sp there could be some things in those areas that could be included - I just don't know. I imagine for those who do have to upload new content or make updates to items currently on the site, may have a little bit of complaint, only in that it is something they have to keep track of and maintain.

It's helping to have everything in one place that is accurate for all employees. It is also helping with communications across the various office locations. It keeps people in the know.

The Customer Support team. They continuously assist us with all our needs in a timely matter. They are consistently rolling out new features and updates that keep up with the needs of our employee base. The Page Builder feature is very intuitive and easy to use. Our platform also integrates seamlessly with our Active Directory to keep our user population up to date.

Some automated features could improve the experience.

Meeting our employees where they are. Our intranet site provides a centralized hub that keeps our entire employee base informed and engaged, especially when email alone isn’t enough to capture attention. With Axero, we can share critical company news, upcoming events, and resources in a space that employees can easily access at any time. It allows us to communicate more effectively across departments and locations, reducing information silos and ensuring everyone is aligned. The platform also supports a more interactive experience with features like searchable content, quick links, and multimedia posts, which makes it easier for employees to find what they need and stay connected to what’s happening across the organization. **What do you like best about Axero?**

We transitioned from a clunky, hard-to-manage and maintain SharePoint intranet to Axero. The implementation was faster and smoother than planned, allowing us to launch it a month early and accelerating initial adoption! It has also been quick and easy to spin up new spaces and wikis as needed to support internal initiatives and communications. 

Our primary uses are as a content repository, digital bulletin board, and recognition tool. We also use Teams, so we do not utilize many of Axero's collaboration capabilities beyond rating content and the recognition tool.

Customer Support is timely in their responses and open to recommendations for future features.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

While Customer Support always responds, they are not always able to meet our needs and point us to requesting future functionality. They could do a better job of keeping us informed of updates on a more regular basis and of updating their online support materials.

With the rapid acceleration of GenAI, we are now challenged with how best to balance the tagging and search functionality of our Axero content repository with our Microsoft CoPilot Studio AI Agent which is not able to mine the file folders.

A common, easily-accessible source of official organizational information for a geographically dispersed employee base.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

Departmental spaces—especially for Investment Advisors, HR, Marketing, and Leadership—have become essential hubs. These areas host our most viewed content, including quarterly financial perspectives and executive updates, helping teams stay aligned and informed.

From startup homepage settings to email link integration, Axero has proven relatively easy to configure and maintain.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

Axero’s folder/file permissions appear to be self-contained and not inherited from Active Directory (AD), which could complicate centralized access control and user management. Based on our network and permissions setup, we're not yet able to formulate how this integration would look long-term.

With regards to reliability and site availability, we did experience an intranet outage on January 10, 2025 that was traced to Axero's hosting environment (running on Azure's East US 2 Region). While this was resolved promptly, it highlights a dependency on third-party infrastructure and a need for contingency planning.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With regards to onboarding, we've had issues in the past of getting new employees up to speed with training. Based on our adoption of Axero, we've noticed an increased engagement from new employees using the intranet site to quickly acclimate to our business environment.

Our previous intranet solution didn't provide many tools to drive user engagement with the site, and Axero has proven to turn this around. Since implementing Axero, we've noticed an increased engagement from both long-standing and new employees. Having Axero's analytic tools have given us insights into content views, space visits, and user activity that we didn't have access to with our previous intranet solution.

Prior to implementing Axero, we didn't have a centralized hub for communication, knowledge, and training. After adopting Axero, this consolidation has streamlined how departments share updates, access resources, and stay aligned. Departmental spaces like Investment Advisors, HR, Marketing, and Leadership Updates have become high-traffic areas, indicating strong adoption and relevance.

I appreciate how easy it is to use, both from the user's perspective on the frontend and from the organization's side when managing things through the dashboard or backend. The Customer support is great, we never had any issue with the customer support team, they always over-deliver.

For me, the main drawback of Axero is its price, which I find somewhat high for smaller organizations.

Major one is the Internal communication in the organization. The other one's are improving employee's productivity by providing them all the daily software embeds that they use daily at one place.

I am so used to talking about the platform, I forget how amazing the support is. I mean without it, I don't know how far we'd get. What I love most is the number of resources available not just reactively, but proactively for our team.

Same issues with how content loads into the system. I wish I could resize a bit, but overall, again it doesn't impact performance.

The Axero platform is very customizable and visually engaging, making it easy for internal teams to adopt. Their customer service is also top notch and very quick to respond to issues or needs.

The backend is quite robust, making self service a bit difficult at times if you can't remember exactly how to update a feature.

As with any business or organization, we have a lot of documentation - process, policies, or otherwise - that is too difficult for employees to use when their only option is to search for it on the organization's [unorganized] document repository platform. Axero makes all the information people need findable at a fraction of the time. It also helps tremendously with internal communications, ensuring nobody misses out

**What do you like best about Axero?**

The implementation process with Axero is well-designed and customized to our organizational needs. The flexibility and customization provided allowed us to see value immediately. While the depth of features allowed us to turn on additional functionality as we rolled this out and build momentum. This integrated well with 3rd party apps and our identity provider.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

There are a lot of options. It can be overwhelming to start. Like any CMS, it's critical to get content ownership clearly identified.

Axero is allowing us to remove rouge sites (Google Sites) from our sites and leverage a single, managed platform for communication and community building. The connection with our productivity suite and online storage enables us to make information readily accessible and securely managed.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

The look and feel has been great and easy to use, but the application runs just like any other. What stands out is the level of attentiveness from the customer support side. Onboarding was great, and our representatives were very involved in the the implementation of the application. The attention to detail and offering the different features that are available. To helping us integrate MS365 and Box among others into our portal. We are more happy with the way we have been treated, and that goes a long way.

Sometimes the fact that you have to go a few layers deep to find the options you want to change.

It's centralizing our communication for inter-office events and announcements.

Axero has been a great partner for our Intranet. Their platform was easy to learn to rebuild our intranet. As a user, it is easy to navigate and find specific content. When questions arrive, we get quick answers with great customer support. I can't speak highly enough about the support we receive.

I wish their search feature searched all content, including widget headers and navigation titles.

Axero is one stop shop for our employees to find up to date company information and processes. It acts as the central go-to platform for up to date information, no matter what department you work in.

As an admin, being able to control and arrange which sections the end users can readily see and access is very helpful.
Using Axero everyday as an end user truly helps keep me up to date with what is happening on our campus with the News section and the Events Calendar is a life saver when it comes to scheduling and tracking my events and all available events on campus.
Integration with with external services has been very straightforward and easy to set up.  We have only had a few small issues.
Their customer support has always been quick to respond and very helpful and informative.

There is almost too much available that it was a little overwhelming upon initial set up and implementation.  After launching and using for a short while though it was easy to customize and ensure the end users were not being overloaded with too much information and only presenting them with pertinent resources.

It provides us with one central location for our users to access the majority of the resources available to them which otherwise would be scatter about and not as easily accessible to our community.

Axero provides a granular admin space which enabled us to tailor our intranet to look exactly how we want it and house exactly what we want. The thorough RBAC using roles, permissions, and personas are complex but make everything run smoothly once you set it up.

There have been a couple of times where we had updates to our site that triggered an update to our settings that we did not want. One time disabled our emails from sending and another time granted access to users who shouldn't have had it. One other thing we'd like to see in Axero is the ability to track the completion of videos by our users. More of an LMS thing, but it would meet our needs.

With Axero we have one source of truth for our internal customers. From this same place, we can send company-wide emails and texts.

The org chart function operates solely on a 'who reports to who' basis, which is limiting as it doesn’t clearly represent departments and sub-divisions, making it harder to visualize the organizational structure effectively. Additionally, there is a steep learning curve to fully understand and navigate the platform, which can be a challenge for new users. I also feel that the platform could benefit from more frequent updates and the introduction of new features. For example, many of the templates available in the resource library are outdated, which reduces their usefulness and relevance to current needs.

Knowledge base and Newsletter mainly.  Other instant communication and HR tools are used within the company which makes the other Axero features pretty redundant

We became a virtual company during the pandemic and are now fully remote. Axero allow us to disseminate information to the entire team or just a select group (space in Axero terms.) For example, recently changed all the benefit programs and this allowed HR to have everything in one place and set up calendar reminders so people knew when open enrollment was. It's also a great tool for onboarding new hires. We keep sales and operational training in it. I like that the profile section builds out the org chart of the company and that users can self-maintain their own profile information. I think one of the best aspects of Axero is it works well for disseminating information, onboarding new hires, and team communication. It has so much flexibility you can easily customize it to fit your needs. One platform and one login increases acceptance among the users. They even have a single signon option.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

Some features are a bit confusing to deploy, but the support team has a lot of articles on how to do things and they are fast to respond to questions if you get stuck. The survey tool could be more robust.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's been a great tool as we migrated to an all-virtual worldwide company. Despite being under 100 people, it still feels like a very good investment for our company.

A lot of the features we were looking for are available out of the box. It gave us a head start in that we didn't have to build our community from scratch. With robust integration options, we are able to connect the site to our current technology stack with ease.

There are some small nuances that aren't currently available. An example of this is not being able to easily test email templates out of the system without actually go through the steps that would trigger that particular email. However, Axero confined to roll out additional features and has worked with our team extensively to priories and add requested enhancements to their roadmap.

Although Axero is known for being an intranet, we are using it to build our online community. The ease of use allows users to quickly connect with one another and share solutions and best practices. It also means that our operations team can manage the site easier as it doesn't rely heavily on development to update configurations or simple UI changes. Even users who aren't super technical can navigate the site and settings.

Axero's response time is excellent for private cases opened on their support site. This enables administrators to resolve issues quickly. Their client support specialists usually see a case through to its resolution without a change of hands, which adds a personal touch to their level of client care. There are many features and a wide array of customization options for most features, which allows Axero's intranet solution to be a good fit for many businesses of various sizes.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

The downside I've found with Axero is that because it is a growing company rather than a larger-scale provider, their manpower resources to test and fine-tune more obscure issues is somewhat limited. This means that each client's intranet platform is likely to be the test subject for a fine-tuning process at some point, and the cost-inclusive enhancement development timelines can be rather slow unless the same requests are being made by the overwhelming majority of clients.

Axero provides our company with an online platform to host our departmental files, articles, training videos, updates, and more. It serves as a central announcement and communication hub. Axero's intranet supports our company's community-focused culture through its social features, including user profiles and the ability to like, rate, and comment on content. This gives our rapidly growing company a central online location to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and communication with ease, in meaningful ways that email alone cannot provide.

I helped a client implement Axero as part of a major knowledge management upgrade. The portal we needed was somewhere between an intranet, a CMS, and a custom application. The client had selected Axero for its feature set, solid UX, document storage, and support options, after a previous platform had fallen short on all those aspects. Because our needs were so diversified, we made heavy customizations to our Axero instance, which was simple to do almost entirely with native configurations and css. We also made extensive use of the API to further customize the experience. We launched with wild success. Throughout the process, Axero was very helpful, providing an implementation plan and working with us on our own plans, providing rapid support. We felt highly supported and like the Axero team was just as invested in our success as we were.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

While there are always minor UI adjustments or feature tweaks I want to see on any platform, Axero really has done a great job. The only thing I would like to see is some more flexibility in widget configurations, although that is mostly because we're using this platform for much more than a standard intranet. I'll add that it's easy to submit a request to Axero and they've been receptive to all our ideas.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axero, both the platform and the people, has helped our team enable this company with its first foray into digital transformation. With Axero, we've been able to compile information that used to take days to find, and curated it into one place. This goes well beyond standard intranet type content (although we have that too) and into business-critical data that teams need to do their day-to-day work. We expect to drive efficiency and data accuracy with this platform.

Axero is very customizable to any workplace needs. Axero also has several great options for troubleshooting and getting quick responses to any issues you run into or when you need guidance to navigate the platform.

Because Axcero is so customizable the awesome tutorial videos are not always accurate for your individual organization.

Axero has monthly updates, these sometimes cause our site to have errors and issues. The team is aware of that and work with us each time and have also helped us with special custom coding to prevent such issues.

**What do you like best about Axero?**

Communifire allows team members to create and control their own space - a place to talk, post resources and develop ideas.  It has many different tools to do this, allowing different styles to find one that works best for them.

**What do you dislike about Axero?**

it would be great to have switchable full online editability on files that are uploaded to a space while they are still posted in the space.  That way a team can add ideas, possible wording, etc. in the same document, rather than downloading, locking someone else out, then uploading.  This does not work well when team members are many time zones away.  Making it switchable could "lock in" a final resource, so others can't change it.

**Recommendations to others considering Axero:**

Get all your people on board through anticipation.  Start with basic, essential uses rather than trying to implement all the possibilities at once.  Don't sweat it that some will watch for a while.  Switch essential communication completely to Communifire, so staff members get used to finding what they need there. Encourage your leaders to communicate often through Communifire.

**What problems is Axero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are reducing emails by having documents in one place rather than emailing everyone on a team every time a change is made.  It also means people are not inadvertently working from an old  document version.  We have also created a sharing page that has helped build stronger identity and relationships within a team that is in 14 countries.

There is no integration with Google docs, so this might be an issue for businesses that use the Google suite for their work needs, but for the other organisations this should not be an issue.

This is a great platform, with a lot of features and capacity. Another thing to consider while choosing it is the great customer support it provides. Anu issue an user faces is handled smoothly by their support team.

The ability to customize who has access to what features per space. Also that we can change the names of the applications to meet our needs. Also the fact that we can have unlimited spaces and unlimited subspaces, with varied permissions.

We want more interactive features, like video responses. Right now it's still very social media meets website.

(4) Ability for us to effectively communicate, publicly, internally, and with our solution provider team
(5) Inculcate a public identity - web site - with community like communications and functionality.  It is more than a content management system.

As with any application, you never get 100% of what you want, but I always know that they listen to feature requests, and think around the box for arriving at others.  They bend over backwards to make sure that you have a positive experience.

Since melding the website inside of the Communifire Platform, traffic is up 25%, and sales have increased - with less phone communications - by nearly the same amount.
