best Market Intelligece Software.

Market research software is most likely related to market intelligence software. Many of these are geared towards forecasting, monitoring stocks, tracking news information. They provide platforms to consolidate information related to specific markets, metrics, and trends. Technology research software provides less financial information, but industry-specific technology research. They will define software categories and types and provide users with information pertaining to each. This information is often used in buying decisions and product development planning. Business intelligence platforms often provide more internal analysis, but do usually come equipped with some level of competitive intelligence analysis. They will centralize and display your personal business information while allowing you to compare internal data with publicly available data, trends, and news.

“Semrush AI Insights and SEO Tools That Make Research, Tracking, and Reporting Effortless”
What do you like best about Semrush?

Its AI features help me get detailed, actionable insights without having to dig through raw data manually. The AI-powered content and keyword suggestions save a lot of time during research and strategy planning, and tools like Position Tracking, Site Audit, and the AI Overview/AI visibility features have become essential for keeping up with how search is evolving. Semrush also does a great job of bringing competitor data, backlink insights, and SERP feature tracking into one place, which makes reporting and client presentations much faster and easier to put together. Semrush fits well alongside the other tools we use daily, like Google Search Console and GA4, since we can cross-check search performance and traffic data to validate what Semrush is showing. We also use it alongside Looker Studio, where we pull Semrush data into custom dashboards for client reporting, and it complements BrightEdge for keyword tracking across multiple markets. The ability to export data cleanly (CSV/Excel) makes it easy to integrate into our own reporting workflows and combine with other platforms without much manual cleanup. Overall, it acts as a strong central hub for SEO and AI-visibility data that connects smoothly with the rest of our marketing and analytics stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Semrush?

The invoicing works in a way I’ve experienced recently that’s been frustrating. I have two users under my main ID, and I’m on the Pro package. If we try to access something outside our package, it prompts us to purchase, which is obvious. However, one of my users can click “purchase” on their own, and it gets added to the next month’s invoice without asking for any card details or anything else. That’s quite disappointing. It should ask for confirmation first, or at least not be added directly to the invoice. We also couldn’t even identify who made that purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?

Semrush helps us tackle many real challenges in our day-to-day SEO and digital marketing work. It gives us clear visibility into AI performance and AI search visibility for websites, which is becoming increasingly important as search shifts toward AI Overviews and LLM-driven results. On top of that, it lets us track rankings, audit technical SEO issues, analyze competitors, and monitor backlinks—all from one platform. That saves a lot of time compared with switching between multiple tools. As a result, our reporting is more accurate and our strategy recommendations are more data-backed, which ultimately benefits both our internal team and our clients by helping us make faster, more informed decisions. What do you dislike about GTM Workspace - Powered by ZoomInfo?

Sometimes information isn't accurate but I still use that as an opportunity to contact the company and see if I can find a contact. It is less efficient but it is a place to start. I try to use it daily to assist in my efforts but can't always get around to it. “G2 Marketing Solutions: Strong Partnership That Delivers Customer Proof Points”
What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

I’ve been a big fan of G2 since I started working with them in 2021. I really appreciate how G2 Marketing Solutions partners with us to generate invaluable customer proof points, which then translate into additional bragging rights through G2 badges, reports, and rankings. Our account managers collaborate closely with us to meet our goals and regularly suggest practical ways to strengthen our efforts. I also love that they consistently share strong examples of what other software providers have done, which gives us helpful ideas we can adapt for our own marketing initiatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

I'm noticing we are getting more reviews that are clearly an AI-written description of our solution, so I'd like to see G2 do more to discourage this. I'm not talking about use of AI to refine what you've written, but reviews that are entirely generated by AI and don't actually contain any personal perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

G2 provides us a regular pipeline of customer proof points and fresh bragging rights every quarter. Knowing how G2 reviews and accolades are regularly cited in LLMs makes our efforts to generate reviews worth it and helps us get other stakeholders on board with supporting our efforts. “Similarweb Makes Discovery Call Prep Faster and More Informed”
What do you like best about Similarweb?

Similarweb has become an important part of how I prepare for initial discovery calls with potential clients. The AI and intelligence tools help me quickly pull together a deeper view of a company’s digital presence, traffic trends, competitive set, audience behavior and market position. Instead of piecing together information across multiple sources, I can get a strong initial picture in one place and identify areas I want to explore further in the conversation. It saves me significant prep time, but more importantly, helps me go into discovery with better questions and a more informed point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

’m still relatively new to Similarweb, so I haven’t experienced many significant downsides yet. The UI is strong and I’ve found the platform intuitive to navigate. The biggest consideration for me is remembering that some of the traffic, audience and competitive data is directional rather than exact. I primarily use Similarweb to prepare for initial discovery calls, so the data is extremely valuable for identifying trends, competitive positioning and areas I want to explore with a potential client. I view it as a way to develop better hypotheses and ask smarter questions rather than treating every data point as absolute. For that use case, the benefits have far outweighed the limitations so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Similarweb solving and how is that benefiting you?

Similarweb helps me solve several challenges around prospect research and new business development. I use it to quickly understand a potential client’s business, digital footprint, competitive landscape, traffic trends and customer behavior before an initial discovery call. It saves significant time compared with pulling information from multiple sources and helps surface themes or opportunities that may not otherwise be obvious.

More importantly, the data helps me develop a stronger point of view before speaking with a potential client. I can identify trends, benchmark against competitors and use those insights to ask better discovery questions rather than starting the conversation from scratch. It gives me useful data to support business decisions while also helping me determine where deeper conversations and analysis are warranted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Apify Eliminates Scraper Maintenance with Reliable Scheduling and a Great Actor Marketplace”
What do you like best about Apify?

The thing I like best is that it removed the worst part of web scraping for me — the maintenance. I used to run my own scripts for price tracking, and every couple of weeks a site would change its markup and my whole pipeline would quietly die. With Apify I set the jobs on a schedule and they just run; when something does fail, it tells me, and I can see exactly what happened instead of discovering a week later that my data's been empty.

The actor marketplace is a close second. For a lot of the sources I need — e-commerce sites, registries, social platforms — someone has already built and maintained a scraper, so I spend my time on the actual project instead of reverse-engineering a website.

And more recently the MCP server has become a favourite: I can point an AI agent at Apify and it pulls live web data as a tool call. That's the kind of feature that makes you wonder why nobody else did it first Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apify?

Pricing is the main thing. It's usage-based, which I actually like in principle, but it's hard to estimate what a run will cost before you start it — prices vary by actor and there's a compute component on top. I once left a misconfigured job running and watched my credit balance drop faster than I expected; I learned my lesson and set limits, but it would be much better if the platform told you 'this run will cost about X' upfront instead of making you find out after.

The marketplace can be uneven too. Anyone can publish an actor, and while that's great for variety, it means some popular actors are poorly maintained. I've had an actor break after its maintainer pushed an update and only found out when my pipeline started failing. A clearer signal about how recently an actor was updated would save a lot of users a lot of headaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Two problems, mainly.

First, reliability. I run data collection for price monitoring and small research projects, and before Apify that meant maintaining my own scrapers — which broke constantly. Every site redesign was a small crisis, and I'd find out a pipeline was dead only when I needed the data. Apify solved that by handling scheduling, retries, and monitoring for me. Now the jobs run themselves, and when something fails I know about it immediately instead of a week later.

Second, speed. A lot of the sources I need are already covered by actors in the marketplace, so I skip the whole build-and-maintain cycle for common scraping tasks. That's let me take on projects I wouldn't have started before — the setup cost was just too high. The API also means I can plug collected data straight into my own small apps, and the MCP server does the same for AI agents, which has been a nice shortcut.

The benefit in one line: I get dependable, current data without spending my evenings keeping scrapers alive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“AppMagic Makes Mobile Game Market Insights Fast, Clear, and Data-Driven”
What do you like best about AppMagic?

What I like best about AppMagic is its ability to combine market intelligence, competitor tracking, and trend analysis into a simple and easy-to-use platform. It makes it very efficient to discover trending mobile games, monitor competitor performance, and analyze market opportunities across different countries.

I especially value the clear interface and the depth of mobile gaming data, which help me make faster and more data-driven decisions for both game development and user acquisition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AppMagic?

there is nothing i dislike about appmagic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AppMagic solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the biggest strengths of AppMagic is that the platform makes complex market data very easy to understand and access. The friendly interface saves a lot of time because I can quickly navigate between market trends, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and advertising insights without needing multiple tools.

The mobile game tracking features are especially valuable because they allow me to monitor how competitors perform over time — including downloads, grossing rankings, monetization trends, and new game launches. This helps me benchmark my own games and better understand what strategies are working in the market.

The ability to compare trends across different countries is also extremely useful. Different regions often have different player preferences and monetization behaviors. By comparing countries, I can:

Identify emerging markets with strong growth potential

Understand where certain game genres perform best

Adjust localization and marketing strategies for specific regions

Optimize advertising spend based on market opportunities

Overall, these features help support more data-driven decisions for both game development and user acquisition, while significantly reducing the amount of manual market research required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dedale Intelligence?

I like Dedale Intelligence for its professional communication and clear instructions, which make the process efficient and transparent from start to finish. The communication was responsive, and the payment and verification steps were handled professionally, making the collaboration feel reliable. I appreciate the smooth payment process and well-organized research studies. The survey topics were relevant to my work in BIM and structural engineering, enhancing the overall value of the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dedale Intelligence?

The overall experience was positive. One area that could be improved is reducing the number of repeated verification or confirmation steps during surveys and payment onboarding. A slightly more streamlined process would make participation even faster and smoother for experts. A centralized onboarding flow would help a lot. For example, collecting identity, payment, and tax information once and reusing it for future studies would reduce repeated steps. It would also help to clearly indicate when a survey is fully completed and when no further action is required, especially when multiple emails or confirmation links are involved. “Fast, Defensible Research with Clickable Citations—My First Tool Every Morning”
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I run an AI revenue architecture practice, so Perplexity sits in the front half of nearly every GTM transformation engagement: sizing a client's market, mapping a portfolio company's competitive set, pulling filings and funding history before a discovery call, and pressure-testing assumptions a leadership team has carried unexamined for years.

The AI and intelligence layer is what earns the seat. Answers come back with numbered, clickable citations, so research output is defensible in front of a CRO or a deal partner instead of something I have to quietly re-verify. Model switching matters too. Fast model for lookups, heavier reasoning model when I am building a point of view a client will act on.

The UI stays out of the way: clean answer, sources alongside, follow-ups that hold context so one question becomes a real line of inquiry. Spaces is what makes it scale. One Space per engagement means account research does not bleed across pursuits.

Performance is fast. Most answers land in seconds. Deep Research trades a few minutes for what a junior analyst would need half a day to produce.

Integrations are practical rather than deep, which suits me. File upload handles the PDFs and spreadsheets clients send over, the extension puts it on top of whatever I am already reading, and the API lets me wire retrieval into workflows alongside the CRM and conversation intelligence stack.

Onboarding was a non-event. No implementation project, no admin lift, productive in the first session. I have never needed to contact support, which I count as a point in its favor.

On pricing and ROI, I run the annual agreement at the standard Pro rate. It saves me 5 to 10 hours a week, which alone justifies it. But the real return is on the sales side. Being able to justify a positioning statement with validated, referenceable data instead of assertion has measurably improved my close rate with new clients. One engagement won on the strength of a sourced argument covers the annual cost many times over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Source quality is uneven, and the citation UI does not distinguish between them. A ten-K, a trade publication, and an SEO content farm all render as the same numbered link. The provenance is real, but credibility is still my job. For work where I am putting a number in front of a PE-backed board, I end up manually triaging sources more often than I would like. Some kind of source tiering or authority signal would materially improve the product for professional research.

Related, it will sometimes blend figures of different vintages into one answer without flagging that a 2023 market size and a 2026 growth rate are sitting in the same sentence. In market sizing work that is the exact error that costs you credibility, so I always click through on anything numeric.

It also stops at research. It is excellent at retrieval and thin at synthesis, so for the analytical layer of a client deliverable I move the findings into a different tool and do the reasoning there. That is a reasonable division of labor, but it means Perplexity is one step in the workflow rather than the workflow.

Two smaller items. Paywalled primary sources are still out of reach, so I get secondary coverage of the document I actually want. And Spaces work well at ten engagements but get unwieldy past that, since there is no strong way to search or tag across threads.

None of this outweighs the value. It is the tool I open first every morning. But it is a research front end, not a research department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?

The core problem it solves for me is the gap between an AI-generated answer and an answer I can defend.

At SalesXecution I run AI Revenue Architecture engagements with mid-market and PE-backed companies, which means most of my week is spent building a factual case that a leadership team is going to make expensive decisions on. Market sizing, competitive positioning, buyer behavior shifts, portfolio company benchmarks. Before Perplexity, that work split into two bad options. Manual research was accurate and slow. General-purpose AI was fast and unverifiable, which is useless the moment a CFO asks where a number came from.

Perplexity collapses that tradeoff. Real-time web retrieval with clickable citations on every claim means I get research-analyst speed with a source trail I can hand to a client. That is the whole benefit in one sentence.

Concretely, it feeds two things. The first is my ARQ diagnostic, the AI Revenue Architecture Quotient, which scores an organization across five pillars: revenue strategy, sales process architecture, revenue analytics, organization and adoption, and AI fluency. Scoring against best-in-class benchmarks only works if the benchmarks are current and sourced, and Perplexity is how I keep those benchmarks live rather than stale. The second is the positioning work itself. When I tell a board that their pipeline math is broken or that their category is repricing, being able to point to the underlying source turns an opinion into an argument.

The benefit shows up in three places. I save 5 to 10 hours a week on research. My deliverables carry citations, which raises client trust. And my close rate on new engagements has measurably improved, because a validated, referenceable claim closes better than a confident assertion.

There is a second-order benefit worth naming. When I coach revenue teams on AI fluency, Perplexity is the tool I point to as the model for how AI should be used in a commercial setting: not as an oracle you trust blindly, but as an accelerant with a verifiable audit trail. That distinction is most of what separates teams who get real lift from AI from teams who just generate more content faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Incredible Research Platform - Comprehensive, Concise, and Cutting-Edge”
What do you like best about AlphaSense?

It is an amazingly comprehensive research platform that aggregates near-infinite resources into one central database. I can manually sift through sources as I please, or use the GenAI to intelligently compile intel on more "open-ended" research efforts.

The UI is intensive, and overwhelming at first... but if you're willing to take time to "learn" the platform, it makes research so much easier!

The platform performs insanely well, considering how many updates have been rolled out in recent months... you'd expect some bugs with a growth rate like AlphaSenses', but nope! It only gets better.

Lastly, the account management/customer support is top tier, and I enjoy working with the team assigned to our account. They've been very generous with their pricing for the plan we have, and never fail to update me on new platform features or integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlphaSense?

Honestly, there's very little to dislike...

If I had to be nitpicky, I guess one could find the learning curve to be rather steep (it's easy to get overwhelmed with the platform at times).

Otherwise, the only main complaint is the "slide generation" is rather lackluster - it takes a long time for the slides to generate, and then the final output is not detailed enough and/or underwhelming... maybe I'm particular, but I find it much easier to copy/paste data from the application into my own slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've heard that AlphaSense is improving the Slide Generation and Organizational Branding upload features, which is great!

But again, I want to iterate that I encounter very few problems when using AlphaSense, and I use it daily! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Solving My Biggest SDR Challenge: Knowing Where to Focus Outreach”
What do you like best about Databook?

What I like best about Databook is how seamlessly it brings teams together around shared insights. It makes it easy to align on strategy, uncover opportunities, and work collaboratively toward the same goals. I really appreciate how intuitive it is and how it helps everyone stay informed and connected Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

I don’t have any major dislikes when it comes to Databook, but there are a few aspects where the experience could be improved. Occasionally, some insights take a bit longer to load than I’d like, and having more options to customize dashboards would make it easier for teams to adapt the platform to their specific workflows. However, I see these as areas for enhancement rather than significant issues, since the core value that Databook delivers remains exceptionally strong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Databook addresses the challenge of figuring out where to direct my outreach efforts. As an SDR, I now have clear insight into a prospect’s strategic priorities, financial challenges, and main initiatives. Rather than relying on guesswork, I’m able to personalize my outreach using insights that truly resonate. This not only saves me time but also makes my messages more relevant and helps me secure higher-quality meetings. Additionally, having everyone on the team access the same information streamlines collaboration with AEs, making our teamwork much more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great product with better support”
What do you like best about PipeCandy?

Great interface and I like the filters so we can dial into specific verticals. Saving lists and then excluding the previous lists so we get new results is also a benefit. Data quality is also solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PipeCandy?

I would recommend "growth" scores so we can not only pull lists but then see who from the list is growing or showing signs of growth. Unique visitors, social media growth, those help, but a single score that says company X is a strong opportunity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PipeCandy solving and how is that benefiting you?

PipeCandy is helping us build pipeline and set new meetings for our BDR teams. We can also use the lists for market intelligence on the marketing side of the business. Overall, saves time and makes us more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Rich Verified Shopper Insights with Fast Deployment and Clear Visualizations”
What do you like best about Numerator Verified Voices?

Being able to find shoppers who have definitively purchased a product, then dive deeper using cross-purchase data and understand which channel or retailer was the site of purchase, has created an extraordinarily richer data set than what we typically get from self-identified shoppers. We also love the speed of deployment and fielding, which helps us get results quickly. I also appreciate the data visualization of the results; it makes it easier to identify key learnings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Numerator Verified Voices?

There are some limitations when building surveys the tool, mainly because the templates don’t allow you to mix survey types. For example, I tried to set up a monadic survey that also included a lot of shopper-group-specific logic, but I couldn’t use Verified Voices. Instead, I had to rely on survey support through Numerator outside of the Verified Voices architecture. The cost is also substantial compared to other service providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Numerator Verified Voices solving and how is that benefiting you?

This helps me understand the differences between shopper groups and dive deeper into variant-specific shopper behaviors—for example, how Crown Royal Flavor shoppers differ from Crown Royal unflavored shoppers. With these insights, I can speak with more authority and credibility when reporting to customers, brand teams, and leadership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Best customer intelligence tool in the market”
What do you like best about Draup for Sales?

The tool gives detailed insights on customers' R&D spend, buying locations, key people to target, existing service providers etc. Many other tools provide high-level data such as revenue and executive team but can't offer the depth that DRAUP does. These insights are really useful in strategizing, tailoring and executing effective Account Based Marketing (ABM) activities.

I also like the daily industry specific newsletters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Draup for Sales?

At times, found that a few statistics such as Total Addressable Market (TAM), outsourced R&D spend etc. weren't 100% accurate. There is a scope for improvement in this area, especially when a company acquires another company, TAM and R&D spend numbers don't get updated at the same pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Draup for Sales solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are trying to improve the effectiveness of our Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns with the intelligence offered by Draup. We have achieved significant benefit the data provided by DRAUP. We have seen a tangible increase in the number of Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) and SAL to Qualified Opportunities ratio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
