**What do you like best about PipeCandy?**

Great interface and I like the filters so we can dial into specific verticals.  Saving lists and then excluding the previous lists so we get new results is also a benefit.  Data quality is also solid.

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**

I would recommend "growth" scores so we can not only pull lists but then see who from the list is growing or showing signs of growth.  Unique visitors, social media growth, those help, but a single score that says company X is a strong opportunity.

**What problems is PipeCandy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PipeCandy is helping us build pipeline and set new meetings for our BDR teams.  We can also use the lists for market intelligence on the marketing side of the business. Overall, saves time and makes us more efficient.

**What do you like best about PipeCandy?**

It was a great experience. I am a web scraper. My job was to scrape any company at best with the parameters that my boss wants, and Pipecandy helps me a lot in finding those company It made my job so much easier. Pipecandy is a very easy-to-use product. I am very impressed with the outcome; also, my boss was delighted to know that we meet our quota and we exceed our client's expectations.

Honestly, I don't have any problem encountered with Pipecandy nothing across to mind. Pipecandy is, I can say, the most accessible and accurate lead intelligence that I have ever used in the entire work. I am so delighted with Pipecandy.

The Pipecandy is the tool that helps us find the company that we needed. We used it to identify the leads or parameters that our clients want. I can say that one of the best of Pipecandy is shortlisting companies based on different criteria. **What do you like best about PipeCandy?**

The PipeCandy team and dataset have a laser focus on e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands. PipeCandy built the platform and designed the data structure around that expertise. There simply is not anything else out there like it, especially if you are doing market sizing for this ever-changing space. The other data enrichment providers often lump all e-commerce and Internet sales together, which is useless if you need to look at these brands at a much deeper level. The team is also very interested in hearing and making product improvements for the Web platform.

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**

The process for real-time enrichment via the API is improving though is not yet on par with the Web platform. That said, e-commerce stores come and go, and working with this sea of domains can be volatile. PipeCandy was very receptive to feedback around how to improve this offering.

**Recommendations to others considering PipeCandy:**

If you need data enrichment for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands, this is it. Others do not even come close.

**What problems is PipeCandy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have done extensive market sizing with PipeCandy, as well as doing deep dives into prospects and customers.  I have also used PipeCandy for the firmographic data enrichment of these brands. I also rely on the newsletters and reports PipeCandy puts out to stay current on e-commerce and direct-to-consumer trends, especially during COVID, when we have seen constant change.

PipeCandy is a breath of fresh air among company intelligence tools. Their eCommerce and D2C specific information helps us build a predictable demand generation engine within Amerisales.

We find them to be great. But I’d think that if they can integrate with more CRMs natively, it could be a lot more powerful.

PipeCandy provides detailed and customized search parameters to focus on industries and products that best suit our partnership requirements. The search results help me find companies that fit my targeted profile and includes helpful info. about the prospects' online presence. There is also great customer support with the service.

As my search is targeted to one country, I find a lot of overlap with search results, even by changing a few of the search parameters. Fortunately, PipeCandy has a feature to dedupe against saved filters.

Very useful and valuable resource.

I am able to search and target prospects that fit my requirements and understand their process prior to contacting them. This reduces time wasted on cold calls and info. gathering to free up more time for customized conversations with prospect.

We chose PipeCandy after reviewing multiple options.  I have been really impressed with how quickly they learned our market and tailored an outreach campaign to meet our needs.   We're receiving high-quality Enterprise leads as well as relevant SMB leads.  Also, their customer success team provides detailed campaign analysis and is quick to respond to our requests. They've become a valuable part of our outreach stack and we intend to continue working with them.

PipeCandy is a very-easy to use the product. One of the best features we like is shortlisting companies based on different criteria at any given time, be it Shopify users in the US in specific revenue segments or Companies in a specific industry, PipeCandy has got it all covered.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. This is the most accurate lead intelligence tool I have come across from a tech information standpoint.

Customer service was inconsistent. And they only access eCommerce companies data from what I remembered.

We needed to identify companies that ship a physical product and they had the ability to pull this data kinda. It wasn't the most accurate though. We would look at some o our own customers on their platform where we knew their shipping volume, and Pipecandy's data was way off.

It has been great that Pipecandy has helped us find and identify our addressable market. We used them to identify which companies use Magento as their checkout process and the leads have been great for getting us started. 

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**

Some of the information that they gave us does not feel accurate. We are building a company based off of how many shipments that these businesses are sending out and the estimates that they give for several global companies feel very low.

PipeCandy is great software. Some of their information could be more accurate, but it is a great tool to help build out and qualify your sales pipeline.

Filling out the start of our sales pipeline. We are able to move right to qualifiying leads because of the information that Pipecandy has given us.

**What do you like best about PipeCandy?**

The interface and clean layout, the good and minimal use of colours, and the depth of data categories made available. The app itself was generally smooth and didn't choke up or lag much. It was also constantly updated with new companies. 

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**

There were a huge number of faults with every level of the app. First off, data discrepancies- from Apple being categorized as "Food And Beverages"  to Walmart being a "Automotive and Vehicles" company- some main data categories were rife with inaccuracies. Moreover, creating lists to download contacts was super buggy- it seemed to break down every 5 pages. While that was fixed later as we contacted support, it probably should never have been a problem. On top of that, lack of small features like not being able to delete contacts from/merge lists among other things, makes using this app very frustrating. I really wish it would be great- I like the underlying concept and a lot of effort has clearly put in. But it seems there is a long way to go still.

We use it for lead sourcing. It is great at providing company information in detail, and is generally accurate. It benefits us by providing a large downloadable database of company data.

While not justifying at all, here is why some companies have been misclassified. We are categorizing companies, at scale and have come up our own taxonomy of segments (instead of SIC or NAICS), because 'sub-category' level classification matters when you are trying to understand eCommerce companies better (The way you sell to a luxury goods retailer will be very different from how you'd sell to a diaper seller. We recognize that need). 

When you use machine-learning at scale to solve classification problems, some errors such as the ones you mentioned are inevitable. Manual reclassifications are how you'd rectify them (and we have done that).

We sincerely apologize for the time that you spent on the misclassified pages (and that's something we can never give back). Right now, on the product you'd find much better and accurate data (overall) and classifications (to be specific). You may still find some companies mis-classified (example: Ticketmaster as an entertainment company, which is debatable because they are a ticketing service, but then they also host concerts and hence an entertainer). Classification is as much art as it is science. We are getting there.

Not something I dislike but currently, their platform primarily covers the US market and some English-speaking markets. It would be great if they expanded their coverage.

Consider going for PipeCandy if you'd need to discover your eCommerce prospects or if you'd deeper insights on accounts in your sales funnel.

We've tried tools like Discoverorg, ZoomInfo etc. While they are all valuable for contacts/IT spend etc. PipeCandy gave us some very unique insights about sales, growth and technology stack maturity of retailers. Also, they could differentiate between business models, pricing models etc. which is invaluable for pitching a pricing/promotions product.

We tried traditional data providers. There is no one where I can find product categories, traffic, revenue, and omni-channel data all in one place. PipeCandy wins clearly in this category.

For running certain outbound marketing campaigns, we were looking for a good and reliable data source provider. PipeCandy fitted the bill for the eCommerce segment. I had a good set of data about the eCommerce customers that was useful for us.

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**

From the eCommerce industry perspective, we were looking for more details like their website's traffic or the tech stack of the companies. Their tool, at the point of time, didnt have these data. But the team was super quick in support in providing this data in an offline manner.

Running outbound email campaigns targeted at eCommerce customers. PipeCandy provides reliable data for a super-niche segment of audience.

PipeCandy was accommodating to the custom needs of our project (building a custom prospect list) and turned around deliverables in a relatively short timeframe.

Some of the categorization of companies in the results we received were miscategorized, and some larger enterprises were absent from the list. They addressed this and corrected when we brought it up to them.

Thanks for the feedback!

Much appreciate your inputs. The classification (B2B vs. B2C) is underway and we hope to add that as an attribute soon. Right now, you could go to categories like 'Industrial goods', 'Business Services' etc. to find B2B companies. But you are right, in that, a B2B apparel company will still be an apparel company and won't be specifically called out as B2B (until we solve it at scale using reliable algorithms, which we are at it right now).

I am absolutely not the one to give excuses to customers. If you are curious why such classifications are a problem - there is no 'silver bullet' way to classify companies into segments or based on business type. Presence of shopping cart, or mention of wholesale etc. are good indicators but they fail in a lot of cases. Classifications are always 'work in progress' and we never stop improving them.

We knew of this problem that you faced and our customer success team delivered the classifications offline for your campaigns and have since them been in touch to help you in whichever way that they can.

You can continue to count on them as we improve the product experience for specific situations like the ones you have pointed out.

At Zarget, we had to scale our outreach to eCommerce companies and yet be very precise about whom we reach out to. PipeCandy helped us build a highly precise target list & provided technology insights about our prospects.

We were able to predict the demos per month with great consistency.

**What do you dislike about PipeCandy?**


Not a negative. They were working on predictive models to lead score the prospects. We didn't get a chance to test that back then. It would've been even more powerful to run ABM campaigns.
