Before Xero, our financial data was scattered across spreadsheets, making it incredibly difficult to get an accurate view of our business health. Xero centralizes all of our transactions and billing in one clean dashboard, allowing us to make faster, data-driven decisions and making tax season much easier. One limitation I have found is that Streamline does not currently include a detailed production scheduling module. For our operation, it would be very valuable to have the ability to sequence production lines and manage detailed scheduling directly within the platform.

I would also like to see stronger functionality around storage capacity constraints. While the platform does a good job supporting supply and inventory planning, having the ability to model warehouse capacity restrictions and storage limitations would help us evaluate scenarios more accurately and make better operational decisions.

Streamline helps us bring demand planning, production planning, and material planning together in one system. Before, we had information spread across different files and tools, making it difficult to have a complete view of the planning process.

Having everything in one platform gives us better visibility across the supply chain and allows us to make decisions faster. It also improves alignment between teams because everyone is working with the same data and assumptions.

I don't have any major dislikes about ShipHero. If I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be the training and workflow documentation, particularly around the outbound fulfillment process. While ShipHero Academy provides a good range of training materials, I spent a significant amount of time reviewing the courses and still found certain processes challenging to apply when working in a live production environment. More detailed, real-world examples and step-by-step operational guides would help users transition from training to day-to-day warehouse operations more effectively. One of the biggest challenges in warehouse operations is balancing productivity with accuracy, and ShipHero does an excellent job of addressing both.

The Tap-to-Pack feature is one of my favorite innovations. It allows packers to spend less time interacting with the system and more time focusing on the physical packing process. This creates a smoother workflow, reduces distractions, and improves overall packing efficiency.

Another feature I really appreciate is the ability to capture photos during the receiving process. This provides clear documentation of what was received and the condition of the inventory upon arrival. It helps create accountability, improves inventory records, and gives us valuable supporting information when reporting discrepancies or damages.

The Pick-to-Light functionality is another standout feature. It simplifies the picking process and makes training new warehouse employees much easier. New team members can quickly understand where to pick from, reducing onboarding time and minimizing picking errors.

I am also impressed with the Voice Picking technology. By reducing the need for constant scanner interaction, employees can stay focused on their tasks and move through the warehouse more efficiently. This helps increase productivity while maintaining accuracy during the picking process.

Lastly, the automatic order import capability saves a significant amount of time. Orders flow directly from the client's online store into ShipHero without manual intervention, eliminating repetitive data entry, reducing the risk of human error, and allowing orders to be processed much faster.

The key challenge with Unicommerce is occasional data accuracy and system/integration issues. Representation matters. It’s important to represent reality faithfully in a way that helps the company govern operations accurately, without having to constantly oversee everything manually. From the functions I’ve interacted with so far, Cin7 offers a decent set of tools that make this representation easier for us, which in turn makes governance simpler and more manageable. Integrating third-party route management platforms still requires manual intervention out of the box. Currently, our service calls are exported from EZO and imported into Route4Me via a text-based process. We are actively building a phase two integration to automate this so work orders queue and manifest directly, but native API tie-ins for external routing or telematics platforms could be more robust. Prior to EZO, we relied on an antiquated, DOS-based legacy system (VMMS) that required manual data entry, leaving us with a disconnected inventory where field assets were easily misplaced. We struggled with visibility across our 11 regional sites. inFlow Inventory addresses the challenges of inaccurate stock tracking and manual ordering by providing real-time visibility, automated reordering, and streamlined control across multiple locations. We use Tally Prime on a cloud server. The main problem is that when we pass an entry, the cursor disappears in the narration box. Because of this, editing the narration becomes very hard and wastes a lot of time daily. If the data is saved on the server, you cannot work during server maintenance. The best part is that All Four Accountant in our office can work on the same Tally at the same time without any hanging issues. Since the data is saved safely on the cloud server, there is no fear of data loss or theft.
