One of the biggest benefits for me is the ability to automate processes that would otherwise require significant manual work. Tekmetric has taken the place of multiple programs for our shop. Previously we were using separate programs for scheduling, writing repair orders, and receiving payments, and keeping track of technician hours. I just started a business and was spinning in circles setting up a process to write customer agreements and collect payments. Anchor has both electronic agreements and payment processing integrated so I could put the services right in the proposal, and set how they should be billed. The customer can add their payment method right to the agreement and pay the invoice immediately. One area where Fynite could improve is by offering deeper integrations with creative production, media review, and asset management tools commonly used in trailer and entertainment marketing workflows. We see a lot of "one-off" issues that can't be easily explained, even by our internal Pricefx support person. For example, one quote recently pulled an approver into the Workflow that left the company 3 years ago and whose account had been deactivated since then. Sometimes quotes cannot be Submitted, and there is no error message. One User (Approver) has complained that the Field Names change on random quotes that make no sense at all. E.g., instead of Requested Price it might read "Umbrella" or something that clearly makes no sense. For some reason, Bill disallowed the use of certain symbols in their Memo section. They used to allow me to use the @ symbol and additional symbols like that, and now they don't. I found it quite helpful to use those and unnecessarily restrictive. I imagine there's a coding reason for it or something like that, but I wished they didn't change that. I also find the Approval process can be confusing at times, because the steps aren't specifically guided as seamlessly as they are in the iPhone app. The app moves me through the approval process really easily and smoothly. Lastly, because of how tightly Tabs integrates with our other systems, there are some restrictions on making manual updates or edits, which can be a bit limiting when we need to make a quick fix on the fly. The calendar is buggy and it doesn't offer me the option of seeing all the calendars of the whole office at the same time. I coordinate the schedule and I need to see everyone's availability. They were fine for a number of years but things dramatically changed this year. With one day notice they changed their processing timelines from 1 day to 3 days. They then had a series of errors that extended the 3 day fund hold to 6 days. They have done a terrible job of communicating, have been combative, and have turned into an awful partner. They are also, with no notice, instituting burdensome rules that I have not seen from other processors and offering no justification for those rules. My guess is that they had a major fraud incident. The only unusual factor appeared to be that part of my work involves one international business address.
