“Intuitive, Reliable Accounting with Powerful Integrations and Strong ROI”
What do you like best about Xero?

Xero Review

UI / UX – 9/10

Xero offers one of the most intuitive and user-friendly interfaces in the accounting software market. The dashboard is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, allowing finance teams and business owners to access key financial information with minimal training. The workflow for invoicing, bank reconciliation, and expense management is highly streamlined, reducing administrative effort and improving productivity. The mobile application further enhances accessibility for users who need real-time financial visibility on the go.

Integrations – 9/10

Xero has a robust ecosystem of third-party integrations, connecting seamlessly with payroll systems, CRM platforms, payment gateways, inventory management tools, e-commerce platforms, and business intelligence applications. The availability of a well-documented API enables businesses to develop custom integrations where required. This flexibility makes Xero highly adaptable to diverse business environments and growth stages.

Performance – 8.5/10

As a cloud-native platform, Xero delivers strong reliability and accessibility across multiple devices and locations. The system generally performs well even with significant transaction volumes; however, users managing large datasets or complex reporting requirements may occasionally experience slower processing times. Overall, the platform provides stable performance suitable for most SMEs and mid-sized organizations.

Pricing / ROI – 8.5/10

Xero offers competitive pricing compared to many traditional accounting systems and ERP solutions. The subscription model provides predictable costs while eliminating infrastructure and maintenance expenses. Businesses often achieve a strong return on investment through automation of bookkeeping processes, reduced manual data entry, faster month-end close cycles, and improved financial visibility. For growing businesses, the value delivered generally outweighs the subscription costs.

Support / Onboarding – 8/10

The onboarding experience is straightforward, supported by extensive knowledge bases, training resources, certification programs, and implementation partners. Customer support is primarily delivered through online channels, which works effectively for most users but may be less appealing for organizations seeking immediate phone-based assistance. The availability of certified advisors and accountants significantly enhances the implementation and adoption process.

AI / Intelligence – 7.5/10

Xero has increasingly incorporated AI-driven capabilities to improve efficiency and decision-making. Features such as automated bank reconciliation suggestions, transaction categorization, anomaly detection, and predictive insights help reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. While these capabilities add meaningful value, Xero's AI functionality remains focused on accounting automation rather than advanced forecasting, strategic analytics, or generative AI-driven financial management seen in some emerging finance platforms. “NetSuite Unifies Core Processes with Powerful Visibility and Reporting”
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like best about NetSuite is its ability to bring all core business processes into a single, integrated platform. It provides strong visibility across finance, operations, and supply chain, which helps improve decision-making and efficiency.

I especially value the flexibility of saved searches and reporting, which makes it easy to quickly access and analyze the data needed for day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

While NetSuite is a powerful and flexible platform, there are some limitations that can impact day-to-day usability.

One of the main challenges is with Saved Searches, particularly around complex criteria and advanced filtering. As requirements become more sophisticated, it can be difficult to build or maintain searches without workarounds, and performance can sometimes be impacted.

From a supply chain perspective, there are also limitations in inventory management and demand forecasting capabilities. Forecasting often requires additional customization or external tools to achieve higher accuracy and deeper predictive insights.

Overall, while NetSuite provides a strong foundation, some areas require enhancement or supplementary solutions to fully support advanced analytics and planning needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetSuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is it solving?

Before NetSuite, our data was trapped in different systems that didn’t talk to each other. We were wasting hours manually moving information between spreadsheets, which led to human errors and outdated numbers.

How is it benefiting you?

It puts everything—finance, sales, and operations—into one place. For me, the biggest benefit is having a single, reliable source of truth. I can see real-time performance dashboards without waiting days for manual reports, which means we can make faster, smarter business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All-in-One Solution but Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about AutoLeap?

I like the access I have to service information through AutoLeap, and the simple and easy format used to make work orders. The direct parts ordering system is also a plus. It makes AutoLeap valuable because I can do almost everything within one program, instead of having multiple tabs open and navigating a bunch of pages. I can pretty much find everything within. I also like the live help chat on AutoLeap for when I need help figuring something out on the website. The setup was straightforward, and having the live chat was helpful as I got used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoLeap?

I do feel the parts ordering aspect can get confusing sometimes and not always work the way I would hope. Sometimes when trying to order parts through AutoLeap, the portal to the supplier's website doesn't always work properly. Another thing I would like to see is the ability to save and print tax reports and other statements as a PDF. For the info we give to the accountants, it only lets us export to Excel. This makes it difficult as we do not use Excel for anything and just makes us have to jump through some hoops to get the info printed out when we need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AutoLeap solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use AutoLeap to keep my business organized and up to date. It simplifies work orders, parts ordering, and service information access. It's all in one place, reducing the need for multiple tabs. The live help chat is great when I need assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reports, ease of use, and mostly the ability to make suggestions and see that they are being considered and implemented. Plus now with the built in CRM I can have everything I need in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

Since we’re a transmission shop, we use the canned jobs and sell the transmission as a complete unit. For inventory purposes, it would be helpful to track the cost and the specific parts we used to build it, without generating a huge parts list for the customer. Ideally, the customer-facing view would still show only the transmission itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Streamlines Payments, But User Interface Needs Work”
What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?

I love how BILL AP/AR enables me to easily process and receive electronic payments. It saves a lot of time since I don't have to print and mail checks or go to the bank to deposit checks. I also find that it speeds up our Accounts Receivable process significantly when clients pay electronically, which helps with cash flow. Additionally, I like the integration with QuickBooks Online for the parts I've figured out, as it supports my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?

The interface continues to be a huge challenge for me. I have it synced with QuickBooks Online but overall do not find the user experience easy or enjoyable. I think because of this I have not dug deeper into the features or how else I could be using it. I do not feel that it's really clear what it's doing or how it's set up. I would want a simpler interface, better instructions and guidance as I use it. The initial setup was not very easy, it took me a while to figure out. I do remember feeling overwhelmed by the setup and interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agentforce Revenue Management (formerly Salesforce Revenue Cloud)?

What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I just started a business and was spinning in circles setting up a process to write customer agreements and collect payments. Anchor has both electronic agreements and payment processing integrated so I could put the services right in the proposal, and set how they should be billed. “Effortless Client Management and Fast Invoicing in One Clean Platform”
What do you like best about Refrens Accounting?

Refrens Accounting stands out because of how effortlessly it centralizes my entire client management and billing workflow. Having used it for over two years, the biggest upside for me is the seamless transition from creating professional quotations to converting them into final invoices.

The user interface (UI/UX) is incredibly clean and intuitive, making it easy to manage a growing client database without a steep learning curve. Performance-wise, the platform is fast and highly reliable; I can generate an invoice and send it to a client in under two minutes, which has dramatically improved my day-to-day efficiency.

Instead of juggling separate tools for invoicing, quotations, and client tracking, Refrens gives me plenty of comprehensive features under one roof to manage my business operations. It has saved me hours of administrative work each week, offering an incredible return on investment (ROI) for freelancers and small business owners who want to stay organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Refrens Accounting?

While Refrens Accounting is excellent for day-to-day operations, there is still room for improvement regarding deep third-party integrations. It would be highly beneficial to have more native sync capabilities with advanced project management tools or external CRM systems to automate workflows even further.

Additionally, as the platform continues to add features, the reporting and analytics tools could be expanded to provide deeper financial insights and automated forecasting for long-term planning. However, these are minor feature gaps, and the core functionalities for invoicing, quotations, and client management remain incredibly strong and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Refrens Accounting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Refrens Accounting, my business operations were heavily fragmented. I was constantly juggling multiple disjointed platforms—using separate tools or spreadsheets to create quotations, handle client records, and send invoices. This scattered workflow made it time-consuming to stay organized and led to delays in getting paid.

Refrens completely solves this issue by serving as a centralized, all-in-one hub for my client management and billing ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about fynite.ai?

What stood out most about Fynite was its ability to centralize creative collaboration, streamline communication across multiple stakeholders, and keep feedback, discussions, and action items organized in context, which helped our team move faster and stay aligned throughout demanding campaign timelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about fynite.ai?

One area where Fynite could improve is by offering deeper integrations with creative production, media review, and asset management tools commonly used in trailer and entertainment marketing workflows. During fast-paced campaign cycles with multiple rounds of client feedback and revisions, switching between external review platforms and collaboration spaces can occasionally slow down the creative process. What problems is fynite.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fynite has been an incredibly useful collaboration platform for our creative workflow at Jump Cut. As a trailer and print agency working across film campaigns, creative reviews, client feedback, and fast-moving production timelines, keeping ideas, revisions, and decisions organized is essential. “Transformational Pricing Software with Seamless Integration”
What do you like best about Pricefx?

I really appreciate the intuitive user experience with Pricefx. It excels in quoting and providing real-time prices during customer negotiation, which is fantastic. The software is incredibly intuitive, offering the right analytical data based on past experiences and invoices, aligning perfectly with customer needs. I find the price list generation efficient, and it integrates seamlessly with systems like SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce. The software is SaaS-based and continuously evolving, especially in terms of Gen AI, and offers a proactive analytical view of invoices and discounts. It's also great for keeping the pricing process upstream, dividing the price waterfall for optimization, and aligning with our commercial processes. I also loved that the initial setup was nice and quick. Overall, it's a mature product that checks all the boxes for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

I believe the product-based configuration is one area where Pricefx needs to evolve. Especially when building a new-to-the-world solution, it should build up its capabilities and be equally performant. Additionally, we faced challenges with the skill set available in the market. It was a bit challenging to find Pricefx skill sets that can support us, which means we are mostly dependent on one or two specific vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pricefx solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pricefx helps streamline our processes and provides real-time data during negotiations, showcasing the right price bands and target prices. It fits our pricing engine needs, integrating flawlessly with other tools like Salesforce and SAP for a cohesive commercial experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“We redesigned our whole CPQ and Quote to Cash process around Sequence”
What do you like best about Sequence?

We were invoicing out of a few different tools with a manual process running in parallel, and Sequence consolidated all of it into one place while letting us keep Stripe for payment processing. The product is genuinely easy to use, which matters when non-finance folks need to find an invoice or understand a customer's billing setup. But my favorite part is their incredible support. The response time is amazing and any time I have a question I'm immediately routed to the right person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sequence?

Nothing major. When we've raised things the team has been quick to respond and usually has a fix or workaround the same day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sequence solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before, we were doing all our commercial agreements with word docs and docusign. It put a huge burden on the team, and the experience for our customers was still terrible. With Sequence, our Sales team can create great-looking quotes, send them to prospects, make changes on the fly based on negotiations, and then, once the Quote is signed, my job is easy. Invoicing is basically automatic, I just have to review and say "start." Nowadays, we're getting way less scrutiny on our docs (since we redesigned the whole process and docs around Sequence) and our AR is better than ever. Sequence makes me look like I'm great at my job, even though finance is only like a quarter of my job. Can't imagine my job without Sequence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Tabs Streamlines Billing with a Clean UI, Flexible Invoicing, and Strong Integrations”
What do you like best about Tabs?

What I like best about Tabs is how much it actually simplifies the messy parts of billing that used to take up way too much time. The UI is clean and intuitive, so I can jump in, generate invoices, or adjust billing terms without hunting around. I especially appreciate how flexible it is—handling things like custom pricing or mid-contract changes doesn’t turn into a manual workaround anymore.

The integrations have been a big win too. Everything syncs cleanly with our other systems, which has cut down a lot of the back-and-forth and reconciliation work we used to deal with. It’s also just fast and reliable—I don’t have to worry about delays when running invoices or pulling reports.

The AI feature for contract uploads saves me a lot of time each cycle and makes the whole process feel way less manual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tabs?

What I dislike about Tabs is less about major flaws and more about the typical friction that comes with implementing a powerful billing system.

On the UI/UX side, while it’s clean overall, there are moments where more advanced workflows (like complex contract configurations or edge-case billing rules) aren’t as intuitive and require a bit of trial and error. There’s definitely a learning curve once you move beyond the basics.

Integrations have been solid, but getting everything mapped correctly during the initial setup took time. Aligning data between systems—especially if your CRM or accounting setup isn’t perfectly structured—can require extra effort and validation upfront.

From a performance standpoint, it’s generally reliable, but large data operations (like bulk updates or historical adjustments) can occasionally feel a bit heavy.

Pricing-wise, like most billing platforms, it’s an investment. The ROI is there, but it becomes clearer over time as you scale and fully utilize the platform. Early on, it can feel like you’re paying for more capability than you immediately need.

Onboarding and support are helpful, but implementation still requires internal alignment.

For AI and intelligence features, while useful, they still feel like they’re evolving. Overall, most of the downsides are tied to the complexity of billing itself rather than Tabs specifically, but it does mean there’s some upfront effort required to get everything running smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tabs solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tabs is solving the biggest pain point we had with billing—too many manual processes stitched together across different tools. Before, we were juggling spreadsheets, our CRM, and our accounting system just to get invoices out the door and make sure everything tied correctly. Now it’s all centralized, which has made a huge difference in both speed and accuracy.

For me personally, the biggest benefit is how much time it’s saved during each billing cycle. What used to take hours of double-checking formulas and reconciling data now happens in a much more streamlined way. The UI makes it easy to see exactly what’s going on with each customer, and I don’t have to dig through multiple systems to get answers.

The integrations have also been a big part of that improvement. Data flows more cleanly between systems, so we’re not constantly fixing mismatches or chasing down discrepancies. That alone has reduced a lot of back-and-forth internally.

Performance-wise, it’s reliable enough that I don’t have to think about it—it just works when we need it to, especially during critical billing runs. And from a ROI standpoint, it’s been worth it just based on time savings and fewer errors, which ultimately impacts revenue accuracy.

Support and onboarding helped us get to that point faster than expected, especially on the scheduling side of things. There’s still effort required on our side, but having guidance on how to structure things properly made a difference.

One thing I didn’t expect to rely on as much is the AI layer—it saves us a lot of time. And having our contracts easily accessible is a nice benefit.

Overall, Tabs has taken something that used to feel pretty fragmented and made it much more controlled and predictable, which has been a big win for our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Communication Issues Deteriorated Trust”
What do you like best about Checkbook?

I appreciate Checkbook for its unique ability to issue paper checks, which is a valuable addition for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Checkbook?

They were fine for a number of years but things dramatically changed this year. With one day notice they changed their processing timelines from 1 day to 3 days. They then had a series of errors that extended the 3 day fund hold to 6 days. They have done a terrible job of communicating, have been combative, and have turned into an awful partner. They are also, with no notice, instituting burdensome rules that I have not seen from other processors and offering no justification for those rules. My guess is that they had a major fraud incident. Something definitely changed on their end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FreshBooks?

Freshbooks seach works really well for me and I havn’t had any issues with it. The payment fees feel a bit high and payment integrations like strip and PayPal make it simple for clienta to pay in the way that works best for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?

It keeps my invoices, expenses and payments all in one place, so I don’t lose track of billable work anymore. Moth end is a lot less stressful now, and I have much better visibility into who has paid and who still hasn’t thanks from my side, Freshbook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Strong startup banking interface, but policies are unfriendly to international business”
What do you like best about Mercury?

Mercury provides a clean and modern interface for managing U.S. startup finances. The onboarding process is straightforward, and the product integrates well with many tools that early-stage companies use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mercury?

Mercury may not be a good fit for founders who do any meaningful work internationally. My account was closed despite the company being a legitimate U.S. LLC with an EIN and a U.S. mailing address. The only unusual factor appeared to be that part of my work involves one international business address.

The closure happened quickly and without any opportunity to resolve the issue. For founders building global companies, that kind of uncertainty without opportunity for manual review makes financial planning extremely difficult.

Many startups today operate with distributed teams or founders who spend time abroad. Based on my experience, founders with any international operations should review Mercury’s policies carefully before relying on it as their primary banking platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mercury solving and how is that benefiting you?

For founders operating primarily in the United States, Mercury simplifies tasks like opening a business account, managing payments, and connecting financial tools without needing to visit a bank branch. The platform is clearly designed with startups in mind, and the user experience is much easier than traditional banking portals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Custom Workflows, Forms, and Easy Client Billing in One System”
What do you like best about Assembly?

I love the “feels like I’m inside the businesses system feel” for clients. I love that I can bill them from the software, and I especially love the custom workflows, I love the forms, I love the ability to add multiple people a company etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Assembly?

I’m sure it’s there but I haven’t messed with it too much so take this as user error - I don’t like that I cannot see a place where I can display my services more easily vs the client having to dig for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I launched my business, the first thing I thought was “How am I going to keep track with our business clients?” Billing, scheduling etc. I had no idea a company like assembly existed. Of course, like other A.I users I did my lazy research and A.I vouched that assembly was top choice for my business so I went with assembly and A.I was not wrong. So currently, assembly helps with ALL of my client management and makes it feel more premium and luxurious and exclusive. Circle feel for sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
