I've been using Quickbooks for my content marketing business for the past 3 years. It's intuitive, easy to understand, and helps me stay on top of my business income, expenses, and estimated taxes. I really appreciate the fact that it estimates my quarterly tax payments. Saves me a lot of time every quarter. It's very simple to categorize my expenses. And I love the invoicing feature. A couple downsides: the estimated tax payments tend to skew too big every quarter. I appreciate the fact that they are not too small, but I wish they were more accurate. Also wish that the software could give me an estimation for state taxes — I have to do this manually myself. The order entry, shipping, and customer portal are all quite cumbersome. Their "device hub" software for printing does not work on Macs so it is an annoying process to print packing slips and shipping labels.

Some of the international shipping carrier integrations generate forms that could cause customs problems, we have brought this up to Acumatica and they don't seem to understand or care that they are incorrect.
The auto packaging function only takes total volume into account, (not length, width, and height) which is not useful unless you are shipping water or something that will conform to the box size...
The customer portal is very rudimentary, basically just a catalog. You can't see a photo of the product until you actually click on it, which can be confusing if you have multiple products with similar SKUs like we do. Our organization has been using Unanet for over 3 years now. We use Project Portfolio Financials Plus. Unanet has helped us streamline many of our operating functions. Aside from having all of our financial functions in one system (i.e AR, AP, timekeeping), we are also able to perform our forecasting functions within the system. Our project managers forecast costs on their projects within the system and we import projected operating expenses to build out our annual and rolling budgets. From there, we are also able to project expected indirect rates in the system.
We are able to utilize TBD resources to set up expected new hires in our system. We are then able to add these TBD resources to our project forecasts to get a full picture of potential project performance. Our recruiting team is able to view these resources to understand expected salary and utilization. We can also run resource report that help us understand how are staff are being utilized and whether or not they are currently and forecasted to meet their billability targets. We can also identify when staff are potentially rolling off projects so that we can proactively plan for where they are going next.
We are able to modify project inputs so that the system serves as our corporate backlog. The contracts team can easily run reports that show information such as contract value, funded value, set aside, NAICS, subcontractors, contract numbers, contract vehicles, etc. It has made our contract reporting so much easier.
Aside from allowing multi-functional collaboration and process streamlining, Unanet customer service is excellent. Go for it! But take your time. When setting up the system be sure to consider how your company will scale and set up the system to not only function in the way you need it today but to also function in the way you would like it to 1 or 2 years from now. Map that out before you start setting up the system. That will ensure you do not have to go back and clean things up once you begin to grow and require greater capability.
Get your project managers and other indirect users involved in your set up. Understand what their needs may be and ensure you are setting up the system in a way that will be user friendly and valuable for external users as well. The web interface could do with a little more polish. It is good, but the lack of contrast between lines in lists and distribution of whitespace is not quite right. The headers for list views take up far too much space. It is the content (my lists of receipts) that is the most important thing. The pop-up menus and filters at the top of the screen are used less and could be reduced further.
The scans of receipts turn to high contrast black and white, which is good for Veryfi's OCR engine, but is horrible to use in Xero and the web app. I think the original should also be kept.
Also, I'd much prefer PDF than jpeg. The PDF could also contain the OCR'd text as well as the (original) scanned image, which would allow for easy searching on my computer.
