“Xero Makes Day to Day Accounting Easy and Organized”
What do you like best about Xero?

What I like best about Xero is how easy it makes managing day to day accounting. The interface is simple to navigate, and features like automatic bank reconciliation, invoicing and expense tracking save a lot of time. I also appreciate the integrations with other business tools, which make it easier to keep everything organized in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xero?

Some of the more advanced features can take a while to learn, especially for new users. Pricing can also get expensive as your business grows and you need to add more features or additional users. From time to time, the system can feel a bit slow, and I wish some of the customization options were more flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero helps solve the problem of managing accounting tasks manually and keeping financial information organized. It makes invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation and financial reporting much easier and reduces the amount of time spent on repetitive bookkeeping. This helps me stay on top of my finances, reduce errors and have a clearer view of my business’s financial position. Overall, it saves time and makes day to day financial management more efficient. “Flexible Reporting and Real-Time Help Through Tutorials and Community”
What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

I like that we are able to make reports to show exactly what data we are wanting to see. I also like that wea re able to watch tutorials or talk to the community to find solutions in real time. We are currently adding AI to make accounts payable more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

I dislike that we cannot leave certain dimensions open after periods close. I also do not like that once something is created at the entity level, admin cannot make it available at the top level. That seems like something easy for admin to handle. But multiple times it has caused difficulties when something (vendor, user, program, etc) is created at the entity rather than the top level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have had Sage Intacct as long as I have been with the company. However, other schools do not use Intacct and struggle to report the multiple dmmensions like we do so easily in Sage Intacct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Powerful ERP with Flexibility but a Learning Curve”
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like best about NetSuite is having accounting and financial information centralized in one system. I regularly use it for journal entries, AP, bank activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ability to drill down from a financial report directly to the underlying transactions is particularly helpful when researching variances or supporting balances.

I also find the CSV import functionality and saved searches very useful. They allow us to streamline repetitive processes and automate transaction uploads that would otherwise require significant manual entry. NetSuite is flexible enough to support multiple entities, departments, and classes, which is especially valuable in a more complex accounting environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One of the biggest challenges with NetSuite is that some processes are not very intuitive, particularly when working with financial reporting and CSV imports. Import errors can sometimes be difficult to troubleshoot because the error messages do not always clearly identify the underlying problem.

Financial reporting can also require significant customization to obtain the information in the exact format needed. I would like to see stronger and more user-friendly reporting tools, especially for cash flow analysis and financial statement preparation.

NetSuite is very powerful, but the learning curve can be steep, and relatively simple tasks can sometimes require multiple steps or customized solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetSuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

NetSuite helps us centralize accounting and financial information across multiple entities and provides a consistent platform for AP, journal entries, bank activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

One of the biggest benefits for me is the ability to automate processes that would otherwise require significant manual work. For example, CSV imports allow us to upload large volumes of transactions instead of entering them individually, and saved searches help with reconciliations, research, and recurring reporting.

From a financial reporting perspective, having the ability to drill down from financial statements to the underlying transactions also makes it easier to investigate variances, support balances, and complete month-end and quarter-end reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Cloud-Based Convenience and Seamless Integrations, But Pricing Could Improve”
What do you like best about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

Intuit ProConnect has become an essential part of my tax workflow thanks to its fully cloud-based platform. Being able to access it from anywhere, without the hassle of local installations or updates, saves me a significant amount of time. The integration with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for tax client invoicing is truly seamless—client invoices are automatically imported, which minimizes manual data entry and ensures consistency across the board. Additionally, its smooth connection with tax advisory software allows me to offer clients a more comprehensive suite of services with greater ease.

I also value the per-return pricing model. Although it isn’t the most affordable option, it aligns well with my “just-in-time” purchasing strategy. Paying only when I need to use the software helps keep my overhead low and expenses predictable. Another major advantage is its accuracy—the software is user-friendly for tax filing, and I feel confident that returns are prepared correctly without the need for constant double-checking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intuit ProConnect Tax?

The main downside is the cost. The per-return pricing can accumulate rapidly, particularly during the busy filing season. While I find it manageable for my own workflow, firms handling a larger volume of returns might find the expense to be a significant challenge. The interface, although it gets the job done, could benefit from a more modern and user-friendly design. At times, it feels like the system hasn’t evolved to match the standards of more current SaaS platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intuit ProConnect Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cloud Accessibility: Since the platform is cloud-based, I no longer have to worry about installing software locally, handling updates, or being restricted to a single computer. This greatly enhances my mobility and keeps my workflow adaptable.

Integration with QuickBooks Online: The seamless connection with QBO streamlines tax client invoicing, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry and minimizing the chance of errors.

Integration with Advisory Tools: Direct integration with tax advisory software allows me to provide both compliance and advisory services without the hassle of switching between different platforms.

Pricing Flexibility: Although the per-return pricing model can be costly, it eliminates the burden of upfront expenses. I only pay when I file, which aligns perfectly with my just-in-time purchasing strategy.

Accuracy & Reliability: The software ensures that tax filings are accurate and compliant, which helps reduce the risk of mistakes that could result in penalties or dissatisfied clients.

How This Benefits Me:

Efficiency: Having invoicing, advisory, and filing capabilities within a single ecosystem saves me significant time.

Cost Control: I avoid hefty subscription fees and can match my expenses directly to client work.

Mobility: The ability to work from anywhere enhances my responsiveness to clients and supports business continuity.

Client Confidence: Accurate filings and smooth integrations help build trust and credibility with my clients.

Focus on Value: By eliminating technical hassles, I am able to focus more on delivering strategic tax and advisory services, rather than dealing with software management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“User-Friendly All-in-One for Projects and Financials”
What do you like best about Deltek Vantagepoint?

We launched Vantagepoint on June 23, 2025, and the rollout went much more smoothly than we expected. The user-friendly interface feels intuitive for our users, and the dashboards provide strong visibility into their projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?

A lot of the material in the Learning Hub and the help documentation is outdated. When I try to follow the steps, it often turns into guesswork because the instructions no longer match the current system.

It also feels like sharing ideas in the Idea Portal is of little use. There are many great suggestions that seem like simple fixes, but they’ve been sitting there for literal years.

On top of that, known defects in the system take a long time to be resolved.

The invoice template editor isn’t very user-friendly either, and there’s no option to edit the number of decimal places for percent complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we are connected with API for payroll - ADP. I like the Credit card import API - AMEX. I like all the reporting capabilities. I especially love that Unanet has suggestions and is always implementing new things and improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?

I don't like how some features are so different from similar features. An example of this is that AR invoices can be unposted but not AP invoices. I would love more dashboard reports.

“Intuit/Quickbooks Predatory Pricing model”
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Its highly accessible because its a website. The interface is fine, though it changes constantly which isn't always great. The reliability has been mediocre. The real problem is customer service has steadily degraded over the years. In the beginning I could call somebody when things went wrong. But over the years that has gotten really bad. The banks integrations are mostly working, the pricing is not good. I do not like the AI features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

The pricing model is predatory. Once they have your data in their system they can simply increase the price at any time. They are doing that now by 40% for Quickbooks online plus. They know that customers won't like it but they also know that the cost of migrating all the data is higher than the price increase. Once they have you locked in they will abuse that position of trust. This is a company that treats you like prey, not a customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QuickBooks Online solving and how is that benefiting you?

Its bookkeeping, plain and simple. They integrate with banking platforms which is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Modern, User-Friendly ERP That Transformed Our Operations”
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love how intuitive and easy Acumatica is to use, especially compared to our old DOS-based system. The financial controls and transparency it provides are a game changer—credit holds and pricing controls are now enforced, which was impossible before. Our warehouse has been completely transformed with the bin system and pick-pack path: we now have structure, order, and full visibility into inventory locations. Training new staff is quick and easy, and dashboards keep our sales team motivated. The mobile expense management is also a huge plus for our remote team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The only aspect I wish we could improve is leveraging the AI-driven forecasting in purchasing. Right now, due to market volatility and limited historical data, we can't fully rely on it yet. Some legacy staff struggled with the increased controls and structure, and the change management was tough for a few people. Otherwise, there are no major complaints—the implementation was the easiest I've ever done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acumatica solving and how is that benefiting you?

The credit hold system allows us to control which orders go out for customers who are in arrears. Each month, we gather more data, which helps us gain greater visibility into customer buying habits over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Modern, Intuitive ERP with Standout AI (Aura) and Close Management”
What do you like best about Rillet?

Rillet is a modern ERP with an intuitive interface that genuinely puts customers in the driver's seat. The AI capabilities are where it stands out, specially Aura, which handles the routine work like bank reconciliation, accruals, and flux analysis automatically. The close management tools are also a real differentiator: there's a built-in checklist, automated reconciliations, and prepaid expense tracking that used to require manual effort. The integrations with our existing tech stack were straightforward to set up, and the pace at which the platform keeps improving has been noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rillet?

Rillet is clearly built for the modern finance stack, and it does that very well. If you're in GovCon and need a DCAA-approved accounting system, that's a specific niche it isn't yet designed for, which is worth knowing if you're in that space. For everything else, it covers the bases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rillet has completely transformed what my team spends time on. What used to be data entry and manual reconciliation is now handled automatically, which has freed up real capacity to focus on more advanced, higher-value work. The AI takes care of the prep, which means we're spending our time reviewing and making decisions rather than building from scratch every month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Excellent Timesheets and Centralized Project Info, Backed by Great Onboarding”
What do you like best about CMap?

Brings a lot of project information into one place. The timesheet features are just excellent.

Kyle Lawton's onboarding sessions were also excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain the platform practically, making it easy to understand the core functionality and how it could be applied within our business. Despite some adoption challenges, the onboarding experience itself was very positive and well delivered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

One challenge has been getting everyone to use CMap consistently. We still rely on other tools in parallel, so some information ends up spread across different systems. As a result, I don't think we're making full use of what CMap can do yet.

There is also a bit of a learning curve at the start, particularly for new users, but that becomes easier with use and training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?

CMap is helping us bring project information, resource planning, timesheets, and reporting into one place. It gives better visibility of who is working on what, helps identify workload issues, and makes project tracking easier.

For me personally, it has made it easier to record time against projects, track where effort is being spent, and understand resource allocation across the business without having to ask multiple people for updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It reduces manual work, minimizes errors, and helps ensure deadlines are met—making it a valuable tool for professionals in the accounting and tax field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tax Star?

While TaxStar is a great tool overall, one area that could be improved is the system speed and responsiveness at times, especially when handling large files or navigating between modules. Additionally, more customization options and user-friendly guides for new users would be helpful to further enhance the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tax Star solving and how is that benefiting you?

TaxStar helps solve several challenges related to tax compliance and reporting. It streamlines VAT and Corporate Tax preparation, improves accuracy in filings, and centralizes data in one platform—making the entire tax process more efficient and organized.

However, one issue is the delayed rollout of some important feature updates, which can occasionally affect workflow and limit full utilization of the system. What do you like best about Deltek Costpoint?

I like the ease of use of Deltek Costpoint the most. It's easy to find anything I need in the timesheet module, making the process of tracking our employees' time relatively painless. If edits need to be made due to incorrect postings, it's easy to correct and have employees re-sign timesheets. We can efficiently manage timesheet management, payroll, and posting labor distributions with reduced staff. Once you learn the processes, it's an easy and efficient system to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Costpoint?

I don't really dislike anything about Costpoint. However, I will say that I recently completed several Costpoint certificates on the Deltek Learning Hub and didn't receive the badge or certification email upon completion. I completed the Costpoint Silver Business Intelligence Report Authoring Certification Exam, and also the Costpoint Silver Labor Management Certification exam but didn't receive the badge or certification email for completing these two exams. “Streamlined Compliance with Powerful Audit Trails”
What do you like best about FloQast?

The audit trails and unified month-end checklists are my top picks. Every reconciliation action and attached file carries a timestamp, fully compliant with German financial audit standards. The dashboard displays live task progress, shared lists let our finance team comment directly on work items, cutting down repetitive emails and missed deadlines drastically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FloQast?

Report customization options are too few, can’t adjust layouts to match local German audit forms. Bulk editing reconciliations runs sluggishly. It lacks native connection to our internal file server, so I manually upload all supporting documents monthly. Also, adjusting settings to meet local finance rules took lots of repeated edits during setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Mekari Jurnal Streamlines Accounting with Powerful Imports, Reports, and Cashlink”
What do you like best about Mekari Jurnal?

In my opinion, the Jurnal features are excellent and greatly simplify accounting work. The expense and cost modules provide an import function that makes it easier to record large volumes of transactions efficiently. The system also simplifies the calculation of company asset depreciation and allows users to save time by cloning recurring journal entries for transactions that occur every month.

In addition, the financial statement overview is very user-friendly, making it easy to review both the balance sheet and profit & loss reports. Another valuable feature is Cashlink, which helps streamline the company's bank reconciliation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mekari Jurnal?

One thing I dislike about Mekari Jurnal is the live chat feature with customer service. When using this feature, users need to manually close the chat window, which can be inconvenient. In my opinion, it would be better if the chat feature were designed as a floating pop-up on the web page or integrated into a dedicated menu within the dashboard, making it more accessible and user-friendly. I can quickly create professional invoices and quotations, manage client details and track payments from one place. The quotation-to-invoice option is also very helpful and saves a lot of time. The interface is clean and easy to understand, even without having advanced accounting knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Refrens Accounting?

The main thing I feel can be improved is the level of customisation available for invoices. The existing options are good, but having more flexibility to customise the layout and fields would be helpful. Some features can also feel a little more than what is needed for simple invoicing and payment tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Refrens Accounting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Refrens is helping me solve the problem of managing quotations, invoices and payment tracking in one place. “Automates Bookkeeping, But Needs GoBD Compliance”
What do you like best about DualEntry?

I value DualEntry's reliable OCR and smart reconciliation logic. While handling month-end work for our manufacturing client, it quickly reads incoming supplier invoices and aligns them with the corresponding bank transactions, which reduces repetitive manual data entry for our junior accounting team. It's great that DualEntry eases our heavy month-end workload, especially with its OCR and automated reconciliation that cuts down hours our junior accountants previously spent manually matching invoices against bank statements. This is a significant time-saving feature as we previously spent multiple workdays clearing transaction discrepancies for our industrial customer. Additionally, creating accounts and linking bank feeds was quick, with our junior accountants completing the basic platform setup within one working day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DualEntry?

I find that DualEntry lacks native GoBD-compliant immutable audit trails, which creates real risk for our client assignments. Edited journal entries do not leave a complete, timestamp-tracked change history. It also cannot export data in standard DATEV formats required for German tax submissions. Our staff has to manually log every adjustment and replicate datasets inside our compliant ERP system, which adds repetitive overhead and opens up human error risks. Without pre-built GoBD templates or DATEV-aligned settings, we spent extra time building internal checklists and designing manual export workflows, which was burdensome. What do you dislike about Intuit ProSeries Tax?

I use the Basic Version of Pro Series. I understand that costs do not stay the same. But what really bothers me is that Intuit still only offers four free state downloads each year. Why not more? Why not six or eight? On top of that, if I have two or more clients from a state that is not one of my "free state downloads", I have to pay for each state return to be prepared. Why can't you charge me once, and then allow me to prepare additional returns for that state for no extra charge? I don't understand. I have about 130 tax clients in eight different states. There is no good reason for the way Intuit charges for these additional returns other than greed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
