"Effortless Device Management and Seamless Remote Support"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect allows flexibility in our environment because it's cloud-based, easy to use, and agent-based. As our fleet of devices became more mobile, it became clear that we needed a software solution that wasn't tied to our on-prem network. PDQ Connect allows use to easily support devices off site each and every day. Onboarding new technology support specialists is also a breeze due to the clean GUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

It's possible that PDQ Connect could be costly for some larger companies, but at our smaller size, the price is right. We are excited for the Mac OS developments that they are working on, just haven't seen them work quite yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Service"

I love how simple connect is to use. As a 1 man IT shop it easily allows me to install apps, schedule updates, and even remote connect! Customer support has been very helpful and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I wish it had more pre made packages for deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud-Based Device Management Made Easy, But Missing Some On-Prem Features"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

The tool serves many functions typically found in RMM solutions, such as deploying software, tracking inventory, and providing remote assistance to employees who are not on site. It is capable of managing devices through the cloud, meaning there is no need for Active Directory or for devices to be on the same network. This approach eliminates the need for an internal server to handle software updates and allows remote devices to stay updated without requiring a VPN connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Some essential features available in the on-premises version are not yet present in Connect, such as Powershell scanning and WMI. However, there are alternative approaches to address these gaps, though they do demand some careful thought and planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Remote Management with PDQ Connect"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I really like PDQ Connect for its remote management capabilities. It gives us the ability to do everything we need for workstation management, including managing, updating, and sending packages to computers, all remotely. This functionality is incredibly convenient as it only requires the computers to be connected to the Internet without needing a connection to our domain or physical network. This makes our job of maintaining systems quick, easy, and efficient. I also appreciate how straightforward and simple the initial setup was, requiring just a couple of clicks to be up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

The migration tool in PDQ Connect needs improvement, particularly its functionality for migrating existing packages that include nested steps. The current tool requires creating a new package instead of smoothly facilitating the migration of complex packages. Adding the ability to incorporate nested steps without manual intervention would significantly enhance the user experience and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Software Deployment with PDQ Connect"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I appreciate PDQ Connect for its ability to deploy software to company devices remotely and silently, minimizing disruptions for employees. This feature streamlines the installation process, as it only takes a few clicks to install necessary software, saving a significant amount of time compared to manual installations on each device. Additionally, I find it incredibly useful to view which devices are online, as well as their models and current users, making it easy to identify and manage company hardware. The ability to search for a user's name and quickly find their associated device is particularly valuable when someone requests specific software, allowing me to deploy it efficiently with just a few clicks. This functionality supported by PDQ Connect contributes significantly to operational efficiency and facilitates a smooth experience in managing software deployments within our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I wish PDQ Connect could automatically identify the appropriate silent command for different installers, as various installers use different terminology for this function. Having an automatic search feature for the silent command, along with a toggle to choose a silent install, would greatly enhance our user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Software Installation with Minor Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I love how PDQ Connect saves me a significant amount of time by allowing me to install software quickly and automatically. The automation aspect transforms what used to be a manual process into a streamlined task that can be executed effortlessly through a web portal, eliminating the need to physically connect to each computer. This change not only accelerates the software deployment process but makes it incredibly easy to manage. The ease of use in general is a major highlight, making PDQ Connect a valuable tool in my arsenal for efficiently handling software installations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I think that things that could be improved with PDQ Connect are ways to have multiple software installations run consecutively. I've tried to get it to work before, and it's been somewhat difficult, especially with intricate setups that require installing one piece of software, then another, and then the next one. It just requires constant finesse, which is not ideal. Additionally, the initial setup of PDQ Connect was pretty difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Device Management and Streamlines Deployment"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect affords us control over devices that use a zero-trust VPN. It allows me to split my team (using Tenants) into two groups; those who can manage workstations only and those who can manage workstations and servers. PDQ connect is agent-based which means I don't have to worry how many technicians are "allowed" to use the console. I'm very happy with our migration from on-prem PDQ Deploy and Inventory. I know that PDQ Connect does not offer 100% feature parity but the PDQ Team is constantly working on new features. PDQ Connect is something that I use every day. I know that many of my team are also using it daily. Last, but not least, I am so thankful that PDQ Connect allows us the ability to deploy software packages and configurations to devices BEFORE they join our domain. This has been a huge time saver for us because we're able to stage devices sooner instead of waiting for them to be renamed and join the domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I wish that PDQ connect would show me the current logged in user, if any, and not just the most recent logged in user. I also wish there was an easier way to "go back" a screen without losing previous search criteria. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Device Management with Easy Software Updates"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

What I find most useful about PDQ Connect is the ability to access every device across our district. This feature makes managing our technology much more efficient. We can also install and update software easily.

As a newer user of PDQ I found it pretty easy to learn the software and use it for checking the district and finding devices I was looking for.

It was inconvenient when the updated agent was necessary because of the security issue. PDQ did give a window to update these and allowed for automatic updates for devices on the network. The issues we had were finding the devices that were not used recently and not powered on. However this was not the biggest deal but rather a necessary inconvenience that PDQ did a good job at navigating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I have not experienced any problems with PDQ. As I noted in the section about what I liked, there was some inconvenience related to the agent update. However, the way this situation was managed actually turned it into a positive experience instead of a negative one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup and Robust Remote Support"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I have been using PDQ Connect for a couple of years primarily for patching computers and recently started using it for Windows servers as well. The setup process was extremely easy, which was a relief. The solution effectively reaches out to computers that are not on the local network at our corporate office. This capability is crucial as it allows us to manage computers that are at remote locations or rarely present at the office, ensuring that they stay updated and secure. PDQ Connect also facilitates remote assistance, enabling our help desk technicians to assist users directly. This remote support tool has been a massive plus for us. The features I find most useful include the filters and inventory functions that help me instantly find out which computers have specific software installed, and the automation features that keep everything automatically patched, which reduces our workload significantly. I especially appreciate the cost effectiveness and the simplicity of the product, making it a worthwhile investment, and I would rate my likelihood of recommending it to others at 10 out of 10. "Rock-Solid Software Deployment, Missing a Few Advanced Features"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect shines best around software deployment. Over the course of a few months I managed to automate the majority of our system installations and software updates. For me, PDQ Connect's main competitor was Intune, and Connect has lapped it several times. While Connect is not as fully featured as other platforms might be, it is very easy to use, does software deployment well, and is absolutely rock solid with its reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

The only things I dislike about PDQ Connect are features that it is currently missing. One would be PowerShell scanning, which is a feature in PDQ D&I, but it is on the roadmap. The other would be the ability to dynamically set flags or variables on assets through deployment packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
