My favorite thing about Microsoft Word is just its familiar user friendly layout and basic word processing availability. I grew up learning how to type and write on Microsoft Word so it's very familiar almost intuitive to me and I like that. Because it's had practically a monopoly on word processing formats, it's the one processor I feel totally confident in doing whatever task is asked of me on it and I always feel no other comparable word processor can really come close regarding features and templates. I dislike the cost of MicrosoftWord. It used to be insanely expensive and now of course there are monthly subscription options but still. It's all about Microsoft office now so either you spend a lot of money for a license that can't be shared with more then the family members or something like that, or you have to pay for a monthly or yearly subscription the monthly office subscription is between $8-12.99 . There are of course free weekly or monthly trials and I'm sure most students and staff are able to get a heavily discounted if not free version. However, if you're not a student, you don't know some of the license you're gonna be stuck with using the online free version which does not have anywhere close to the amount of features you need I think even if you're taking a class that requires you to save something in word format. You have to have the actual Microsoft Word not just a free online version and I don't think that's fair and I don't think you should be that expensive either because they really are no comparable alternatives I mean I know there are some that they are not the same. Occassionally, something odd will happen when I try to save a document. Once I had a document, containing an article I had been working on for several days, completely disappear overnight.
