What do you like best about Codility?

It's really easy for users and team members to get adapted with codility as the user interface is quite clean and properly designed. The fact that codility can be integrated with Applicant Tracking Software is another huge plus as it's really easy to manage tests, and view each candidates results to track recruitment progress smoothly. What do you dislike about Codility?

What do you like best about Codility?

My favorite 3 features are -

1. The code replay. This feature allows to replay how the candidate arrived at the solution. Using this feature you tell so much about the candidate and his problem solving approach. A lot of times we have seen candidates struggles with the solution, then there is a pause (may be google the solution) and then move forward. Or sometime they just copy paste a solution and rename the variables.

2. The question bank comes with unit tests which test for edge cases. This is pretty neat and useful for the candidate. With the replay feature you can see that the candidate submitted their initial solution, run verify solution. Realize their solution did not cover for a few edge cases and then they implement them. Some times, codility also evaluates the performance of the solution. Not sure why this happens sometime :)

3. The test builder. This feature asks you a bunch of questions like the role, language, seniority and makes you a test proposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Codility?

Nothing particular that I dislike.

It can definitely be more powerful by -

1. Presenting trends on how a question within the test has been performing? or how the test itself is performing.

2. Comparing the candidate to other candidates who have taken the same test

3. If the candidate had taken any other test on the platform and how they compared to this one.

4. Connecting candidates social profile with the test

5. Integrating with common recruiting tools like jobvite

What do you like best about Codility?

There is so much to like about Codility. First is the customization of the tasks. We can test for beginner, intermediate and advanced level functions as we need to. You are able to see the candidates work, live or as a part of the results. The plagiarisms feature was a big selling point for our Sr. Managers. We hire a lot of entry level, right out of code boot-camps and this product has given us the ability to weed thought the candidates to find the best talent our there. What do you like best about Codility?

I really liked the simplicity of user experience and interaction. The setting of the tests was easy, liked the "Have test created" function, which helps to fasten the process, exporting the data and integrating with other recruitment tools/platforms. Of course the account management and support from the staff is amazing, which helped a lot all the way through the difficult processes from our side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Codility?

The library of tasks is still limited, I would like to have more option for tasks, some tasks were leaked on the internet, so to have multiple choice for e.g. SQL test or Android Mid-level test would be preferable, because we are aiming not at entry or junior level attendees, but more mid-level to senior. Also some tests were too easy for e.g. mid-level developer, who we are searching for, it was too junior-level for our recruitment process. For our case (e.g. Hmtl/JavaScript test), but Java test was appropriate to the level. No availabilities fro shorter time periods of subscriptions like 2 months, 3 months, 6 months and so on. Not much to dislike. However, there is one thing. Sometimes, they simply list the test cases that were failed by name, without giving the precise details of the test case.
