What I like best about Codility is how it simplifies the process of evaluating and improving coding skills. The platform provides a wide range of challenges that cover different aspects of programming, which helps me to continuously learn and grow. The immediate feedback on code submissions is incredibly valuable for understanding my mistakes and learning how to write more efficient and clean code. One thing I dislike about Codility is that the user interface can sometimes feel a bit cluttered, which makes it challenging to navigate through the problems and features. Additionally, the strict time limits on some challenges can be stressful and might not accurately reflect a candidate's true problem-solving abilities, especially for those who are still learning. I like how the layout is situated with the problem on the left and the code and tests on the right. I also like how easy it is to input our own tests in the test.txt file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like how small the coding area is, and even if we drag the other areas, it feels like we are awkardly compressing the other segments (problems, other classes) so there's no optimal area. I also didn't like how there was a minimum size the code files section had to be, so I couldn't close a large amount of it when I was just straight coding and didn't need it. I also found something annoying in the test.txt where I wanted to put comments for the expected results (e.g. // 6), so I can easily scroll down and check if it was correct, but I was not able to do so. It supports a majority of the keyboard shortcuts in my editor of choice, VSCode. So it's a very natural experience to work in the online IDE. The exercises are well designed and well documented; there's very little ambiguity in the expectation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like being able to provide my own test inputs, but the process of running the tests was a little opaque. I'd like to be able to define my expected outputs, but it wasn't clear to me whether I could and if so, how. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That I have to remember to generate a URL before every interview.

It would have been better if codility had access to everyone and not just for organizations. at least I think it only for organizations, may be I am wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, clarity of results, comparability and neutral assessment of candidates. Simply put: If someone claims they used Python in the past, I can check whether their level is advanced, mid, or basic (I wouldn't say that it goes beyond that) but that's already something and the ease of use is great. I am a non-techie who is sometimes recruiting techies, and before using Codility I had to annoy some techies to ask them for their opinion, which they did well but their approach may have been less structured and more than that, it took them enormous amounts of time to design the tasks and analyse the results. What is not nice about Codility is that it is a tool that is really made for techies, so as a business manager, I still sometimes don't understand the result fully. I would love to see even more dumbed-down comments on where people excelled and where they struggled, and I think I am probably not the only one as this tool is specifically for recruiting, so I think any recruiter with no deeper tech background would have the same issue. Codility helps describe problems in unique way so that you can help understand the problems and then map those problems into specific category, either DP or backtracking or two pointers etc. Customer support is also too good. and ease of use and change of language are all too good. Codility makes it easy to quickly provide technical interview questions to candidates. I like using the playback features so I can see how a candidate attacked a problem. They also have features that help determine if the candidate plagerized their answer and if they do suspect plagerism, the tool guides you through why it suspects it so you can determine on your own.

When I had problems logging in after they changed our company to Okta, their customer support was very quick to resolve the issue. They've also actively requested my feedback on features and when I pointed out things I found annoying they were quick to show me workarounds that made the tool even easier to use.

Codility saves me time in the interview process by giving me confidence in moving forward with bringing a candidate in for a panel interview. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When using any tool like Codility, you still run the risk of not being 100% sure it is the candidate sitting there on their own without help completing the assesment. They could have all of their friends sitting around them helping them complete the task and we'd have no way of knowing.

The great catalog of existing tests, well categorized and easy to use. Setting up a testscenario or a live interview is simple. It integrates with many TA systems and makes inviting candidates a breeze.

Customer support is excellent and responsive. The ability to create your own custom tests is great for more specific roles. Overall, it has everything you could ever need, and more, to do technical assessments of candidates smoothly and efficiantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hard to say as I feel it is top of the pack when it comes to these types of systems. If anything, it could be helpful to have access to the optimal solutions for the tests, just to be able to compare to some of the solutions committed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would love to attach more files than only my resume, for example, my IELTS test report form and so on...
