Codility is a good tool to assess technical candidates as part of a software recruitment on-boarding program. We are looking to on-board around seventy technical people over the next few weeks. My first acquaintance with Codility happened when I preparing to interview with Rakuten.

I know what my coding test will be on this platform, so I decided to check what is it.

So I registered and open my first training test. It was about frogs. I though to myself "How hard could it be?"

Ninety minutes later I closed my test. My score was 63%.

This event raised a question - how good my programmer skills are?

I discovered Codility have "Lessons" section which contain a lot of programming tasks to think about.

So I started to solve them one by one. Sometime I catch myself thinking about next task in the middle of working day.

Codility has a set of "pre-made" assessments that you can use in your precesses or you can set your custom exercises.

It detects if the candidate copied and supports almost all programming languages.

It's great to cut off top of the funnel so it saves time to interviewers.

The live-coding rooms are also great as they allow you to test not only technical skills no matter where in the world the candidate is located.

It has a great integration with our ATS, we cans end assessments in just 1-click

Being able to copy & paste to use a preferred IDE for solving the problem.

Programming career requires us to continously challenging our thinking and our ability to solve problems, though we could not guarantee persistent highly standardized environment for life style practicing. Codility has effeciently and impressively sorted that out for us.
