What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

First and foremost, it's accessible on at least the major OSes. This makes it very comprehensive in terms of collaboration. Even further, it ties in seamlessly with Google Docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

The one thing I dislike about Microsoft Word is how rigid the formatting can be. Functions like altering margins and placing graphics on the page can be frustrating because the path to customization and repetition, i.e., setting a particular margin for one thing and then changing it for another and repeating that pattern, is not intuitive. What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the problem its purpose serves: needing to create documentation with special formatting (font, headings, outlines, etc.) and saving it. It is most beneficial because it is so widely used. I can send most people a Word doc and they'll be able to instantly open it. And if not, it can seamlessly save into Google Docs. I operate on a Macbook and am able to have the whole Microsoft Suite, and I'm able to send my files to anyone, anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
