My biggest frustration with Hostaway is that, for as comprehensive as the platform is, it is not always intuitive or user-friendly—especially when it comes to the financial side. The financial settings and reporting can be complicated and difficult to navigate, and I’ve experienced discrepancies in how information and fees flow between Hostaway and the individual booking platforms. One of the biggest ways Hostaway makes my life easier is through its integration with Safely for damage protection. If there’s an issue, I can submit a claim without having to chase down the guest or put the owner in the middle of it. The process is straightforward, the claim is handled, and once approved, we’re reimbursed. The processing of payments takes 3 days every time. The payments are made through e-check which can bounce, so it's a little concerning while we wait for the payment to process for 3 days before seeing that it has successfully processed. Also the background check can be improved. We had an issue where our tenant was receiving an invoice of an overdue payment. It was not clear where the invoice was coming from. Even customer support on the phone was not sure because there was no invoice number. I reassured our tenant numerous times that no invoice from us was overdue. Honestly, there is nothing that bothers me about Lodgify. If I had to mention something, it would be that the website templates and color options could be a bit more customizable to help my site stand out even more. I do not like the ELI+ AI agent and sometimes generating reports and understanding filters for different tabs can be confusing. AI is a great tool, but sometimes it becomes overkill when reaching out to prospects. To the point that they stop texts and we're unable to reach them afterwards. We have been using Boostly and their booking software on our website, and they have been decent to work with, except recently when their software stopped working, and we were not getting the bookings because people literally could not book. I think Hospitable.com could be improved by adding a feature to temporarily delist a property on a particular booking page like booking.com and then, at a certain point, automatically relist the property. This would allow me to favor a particular property system over another, and as I get closer to a date when it needs to be occupied, it could then offer it to other portfolios. The accounting aspect for service providers still lacks visibility and clarity. Cleaning agents do not have access to a summary dashboard with their completed, uncompleted tasks, and the associated amounts. As a result, they frequently send me invoices that do not always match the RentalReady schedule, which leads to unnecessary manual checks. When I use the Android TT App. If the App is open in the background, if I task switch away from TT, when I task switch back to the App, it doesn't re-open TT. I have to end task and open it again. Also, TT used to put a listing on Zillow. Now it no longer does. I have to do it manually. Also, almost no one ever fills out the pre-screener. Not exactly TT's fault but maybe some thought/work could be put in so that more people feel like they are filling out an actual application that is worth their time.
