What do you like best about Xero?

I like that it’s so user-friendly once you get the hang of it, and that it helps non-accounting-savvy people (like me) easily keep track of their books and finances. Especially for a sole proprietor like myself, it makes it so easy to implement and integrate into my weekly and daily business routines. Each week, 1-2 times per week, I log into Xero, reconcile all the transactions in my accounts and cards, and can rest easy knowing that my records are done, clean, and accurate! What do you dislike about Xero?

The only downsides about Xero is that the the user interface is a little clunky, not as sleek. There also could be more tutorials or "help" features to make onboarding and getting used to the program easier. Though of course I haven't consulted much of the customer support, so I'm sure they would be more than happy to help me walk through any issues or questions I have! What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero takes so much of the stress of bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors away! Before Xero, I was up to my neck in spreadsheets and computer folders keeping track of my income, who I was paid by, what expenses I had made, etc. Now it's all automatically accumulated in my Xero dashboard, where I know that - with the press of a few "reconcile" buttons, I can easily keep my records clean. I cannot wait for tax time next year, when I'll just be able to run a few reports and input data, rather than spending hours calculating expenses and write-offs! I love the support - truly top tier. Very quick, and when not quick it's because the support team is doing what they can to resolve items quickly. They're easy to work with. I like the app as well for the most part. I think it has a pretty friendly interface, easy to filter options for hotels and rentals especially. The expenses section is a bit tedious. I can't submit multiple expenses at once and add details later; I have to upload a photo one at a time. Adding details to expenses or just adding receipts can be difficult, especially since it can reset to the top, making it time-consuming if I have a lot of expenses. In the app, when trying to book multi-city flights, I can't pick one flight and adjust the others from there like I can on desktop. I have a newer iPhone with the latest software. It offers extensive capabilities for managing business expenses overall. What do you like best about Webexpenses?

I’m not always in the office, so being able to quickly upload receipts on my phone as I go is a big help and stops things piling up later.

The mileage tracking is also a standout for me. Since I’m driving to different locations most days, being able to log journeys using maps instead of working it out manually saves a lot of time and feels much more accurate.

I also like how everything is kept in one place. Between the receipt uploads and the card integration pulling in transactions automatically, it takes away a lot of the effort of having to remember everything or double-check what I’ve spent.

What do you dislike about Webexpenses?

There’s nothing major I dislike, but there are a few small things that could be improved. Because I’m often travelling between sites, I rely on the mobile app quite a bit, and occasionally it can be a bit slow or take a couple of attempts to upload a receipt, especially if signal isn’t great.

The mileage tracking is really useful overall, but sometimes it’s not always perfect and I still double-check routes just to make sure everything looks right. It’s not a big issue, but something I’ve noticed.

What problems is Webexpenses solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me, the main problem Webexpenses solves is keeping on top of expenses when I’m constantly travelling between different sites. Before using it, I’d end up with loads of receipts in my van or pockets and would have to go through everything at the end of the week, which was time-consuming and easy to forget things.

Now I can log expenses as I go, which makes a big difference. Uploading receipts straight away means I don’t lose them, and the card integration helps as well because transactions show up automatically, so there’s less chance of missing anything.

The mileage tracking is also a big help for me. Since I’m driving most days, being able to quickly log journeys using maps instead of trying to work it out later saves time and feels more accurate.

It also benefits me in terms of visibility. I can check where my claims are up to without having to chase anyone, which makes things a lot easier and less frustrating.

I like how they have updated the main page to make it even more simple to navigate. The site continues to get expense refunds back quickly. They also made customer service easier to contact and they have continued to help me. I was recently locked out of my account and they got back to me almost instantly and fixed the problem. While it is still very easy to use and organized, some of the more complicated receipts are hard to input. Also, there have been a few times the website has crashed while I am in the middle of implementing a reimbursement, and my progress was not recovered an dI had to start again. Recently, I’ve noticed how much smarter the platform has become with the introduction of AI features. The AI Agents, especially things like the Financial Controller and Payments workflows, make everything feel much more seamless in the background.

As an end user, the biggest benefit for me is how easy it is to just drop receipts in or quickly approve expenses without thinking about the process. It feels like a lot of the admin is handled for you now.

What do you like best about Stampli?

I really appreciate how easy it is to navigate Stampli. Its setup provides a very user-friendly experience when reviewing invoices. The information is presented clearly and is straightforward to follow. I also found the initial setup process to be very quick, which was a big plus for me. Navigating the viewing features is simple, and I like that you can download or print documents directly from the review page.

The Dashboards and reports page is another valuable aspect for business use. Having all the information consolidated in one place makes searching for and locating what you need incredibly easy.

Customer support is excellent as well. The team is always available and quick to assist, making it easy to reach out whenever you need help. They are dedicated to resolving any issues effectively and efficiently.

As soon as I get a receipt from a restaurant, I can snap a picture and submit it right away, and I haven't lost a receipt yet. Anchor has been incredibly easy to set up and use, and I love how simple it is for my clients to view everything on their end too. I started using it in November 2025, and I’ve found myself using it more and more often because the platform is so straightforward and efficient. It has the right amount of features without feeling overwhelming, and the integrations with both Xero and Double HQ were quick to set up and easy to adjust. Anytime I’ve had a question, customer support has responded in a timely manner and is always kind and helpful. What do you dislike about Anchor?

What do you like best about Pleo?

I like that expenses can be exported to the accounting software. I like Pleo because it removes friction: employees can pay easily, and finance receives clean, well-structured data that’s ready to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pleo?

I don't like that it only has a 4 type VAT rate. The technical support told me that only Spanish rates are included, but for example, the 5% rate is also Spanish and it’s not included. When I separate the VAT on an invoice in Holded, two separate expenses are added and the invoice does not upload. Also, I don't like that the app is only available for cardholders; the accounting department should be able to access and monitor all expenses through the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Pleo has no spending limit and offers automatic top-ups from the bank account.

What do you like best about Circula?

What I like best is how easy and quick it is to submit expenses. I take a photo of the receipt, and the text recognition automatically captures almost all relevant data such as date, vendor, and amount. The process is clearly structured, and I usually just have to confirm and click through.
