I appreciate the automation that trueContext offers, as it significantly reduces manual work on the user end and improves data quality. I also like the standardized structure of the forms, which helps in improving consistency and making it easier to implement process changes efficiently. Additionally, it helps with service documentation by replacing manual eData sheets or other paper or PDF-based documentation, allowing data to populate automatically and reducing effort on the user end. I don't like the learning curve for advanced features, it is very steep. Also, maintaining existing forms can be challenging because there is no clear change log or easy way to see who edited what between versions. UI is good, although UX performance is mediocre. The app lags too much for our usage, as we have thousands of repeatable line items. It also crashes once in a while and data gets lost.

Customer support is overall ok, even though there are issues where the customer support team cannot help with, such as with data loss from system crashes.

It is clunky when there are large dataset being uploaded, lags hard and can crash and lose data that is unrecoverable even by customer support team.

Overall, TrueContext has been a solid platform for us. We use it to manage custom work order forms, including regex-based filtering to route submissions to the right destinations, automated email notifications when images are uploaded, and a SharePoint data destination that automatically stores our custom-built work order documents. The flexibility of the form builder combined with the integration options has let us tailor it closely to how our business actually operates, rather than forcing our processes to fit the software.

Performance has been consistently strong, the platform is fast and reliable with low downtime, and the mobile app stays responsive even on slow LTE connections without being resource-intensive on devices.

Pricing is in line with what you'd expect for this category of software, and they offer solid discounts for multi-license tenants, which helps when scaling across multiple branches.

Support and onboarding have been excellent. Their team responds quickly to service tickets and downtime issues, sends out service interruption notifications within minutes, and keeps clients well informed throughout. They also maintain a service status web app so you can check for interruptions at any time.

My biggest frustration is working with older or more complex forms. Without a detailed change log, it can be difficult to understand the reasoning behind earlier design decisions or to quickly see what changed from one version to the next. I like the fact that trueContext is very quick and responsive. I'm able to filter what I'm looking for, whether it be on unapproved or approved reports, which makes my work a lot easier and helps with my efficiency. I think this is more of an option than anything, but trueContext does not let me edit any reports sent to me. From time to time, I have to send that back to the field team. The limitations it imposes on the form are frustrating. For example, when I tried to get a repeatable section to format the way I wanted—specifically, to automatically fill in values based on a specified table—I had to jump through a lot of hoops. It didn’t seem easily accessible, and I couldn’t even find a guide that mentioned how to do it. I’m still running into similar issues with other forms as well. Certain limitations regarding the fixed structure of the forms created can be a challenge when it comes to reviewing items that are not all equally the same. This would require a new form input with each item and that takes too much time. It would be helpful to be able to adjust the form structure in real time while in the field.
