You can set up the architecture any way you would like. The API access is also super straightforward which has been a game change with AI. Pricing compared to others was very reasonable. Onboarding was straightforward and they have very friendly support. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** I don't like that I can't change my settings on how permissions are defaulted. It creates a lot of work to manage any new roles or new attributes to make sure the right people have the right access - the default is too much access. I wish it was the opposite. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our previous PIM was home grown and the architecture made it nearly impossible to customize products. Plytix is extremely straightforward. Easy for our internal teams to locate information and we are actually able to use our PIM as the source of truth. Certain workflows and interactions can feel slightly unintuitive at first, and it takes some time to fully understand how everything connects and behaves. Another consideration is that attribute structure requires upfront planning. Changing attribute types, labels, or overall structure after they have been created is not always straightforward. Because of this, it is important to invest time early in defining a clear data model before importing or building out SKUs. The spec sheet generation tools are useful, but could benefit from more customization options. Greater flexibility in layout, styling, and design control would allow for a stronger visual aesthetic and better alignment with brand guidelines. By centralizing everything in Plytix, we now have one reliable, structured source that feeds directly into our production workflows. This ensures that all outputs, whether spec sheets, catalogs, or marketing materials, are always using the latest product data, imagery, and copy. The impact has been significant. We run multiple websites for our business as well as provide product feeds for dropshippers. Plytix has enabled us to centralise our data. Before we had to update each product channel individually, now we do it once and it does all of our channels. This has saved a huge amount of time. Additionally Plytix is extremely responsive with requests. Whenever I can't get it to do something I want, I get a quick response telling me how to do it, or we then work with their devs to look at the viability of making a new module for the system that everyone can benefit from. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** I don't really have any dislikes at this point. We have evolved our use over the past few years to get things to run the way we need them to. We are getting into AI in a pretty heavy way, and are probably a bit further along in this space to what Plytix currently is, but they are working on it. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** By centralising our product data with Plytix we no longer have to worry about our data being incorrect on the various brand websites we run. Before Plytix each site and channel was a manual update. I would also greatly appreciate having an option that allows detecting inconsistencies in the data, as we have not been able to do so until now and these errors often go unnoticed. As an SME, we are obviously constrained by budgets, and this is where Plytix has the market cornered. You get 90-95% of the functionality for a fraction of the cost. Would we go with one of the bigger boys if we could afford it? Probably, but we don't, and we still need to manage our product information. I'd argue Akeneo has a cleaner, more user-friendly interface and their DAM is significantly better than Plytix; you'd expect that for the huge outlay. If you want ease of use, implementation and integration, then Plytix is the one for you, particulalrly as a small company. Their customer support is second to none, in fact from the sales pitch to the implentation, to the testing and the day to day management, all the team members I have dealt with have been absolutely superb - second to none. Their employees take time to listen to your struggles and actually act upon them. The great thing is they fully understand the limitation of their own system/APIs so are always looking for effective workarounds or fixes unlike other software companies. They are thorough and professional and genuinely give you that feeling that they want you to succeed. The system itself is easy to use once you get used to it. It has it's foibles like any software but as long as you let the guys there know, they will look to fix it or add it to their future roll-outs of which they are fairly regular. Again, another positive is they take on your feedback and are always looking at ways to improve how they work or what features need improving or introducing. Big shout out to our past Account Managers Jesse, Chelsea and our current one Karina - you are a credit to the company. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** Nothing they don't already know. The DAM could be better and give you more control of how you can place assets on a Shopify page. That is no doubt linked with the current API which they are looking to continually improve. A reporting suite would be most welcome in the system too. She has helped us solve problems that have enhanced our processes on the platform and implementation of new features using Plytix. Eva has also recommended great features we can use to boost the functionality of our store using upsell, cross-sell functions through the PIM and formulas for automated publishing of products.
