It's no-coding environment for developing hard features and cost effective solution helped me a lot in my ecom journey.

So the best i can say is it's a complete solution for a non-techy marketer, Digital Entrepreneur, Ecom Sellers.

The features are top notch and the usability to develop functional and beautiful websites is also good, but i hope we can integrate to more third-party platforms and payments solutions.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed eCom?**

One-stop shop if you want to have a multi-channel store including e-commerce and Retail POS. You don't have to be really technical to work with this platform as it makes it easy for you to set up your e-commerce rather quickly in comparison to some of its competitors. The platform has a good category management system, and its integration with its own retail POS works very well. It is a good platform for small e-commerce businesses.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

Unfortunately, Lightspeed eCommerce will become a headache for someone who wants to have solid commercial-level e-commerce with major paid advertisement hooks and search engines. It's SEO capabilities are subpar. If you are selling internationally and have a multi-lingual site, the platform has major pitfalls that will prevent your shop to rank high on Google and you will not know whether or not your paid ads on social media are performing because Lightspeed lacks to ability to provide this information to Facebook Business manager properly.

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Lightspeed eCom platform integrates well with our Retail POS and allows us to manage our inventory across different channels without any problems. Having a solid multi-channel support (eCom + Retail) was one of the reasons we selected this eCom platform

The best thing is the ability to customize everything to your store's needs. Everything can be made the way you want. Also, having an online gift card that goes to our POS is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

It is more work to do all the photos and descriptions yourself. It is very time consuming to get started, but it is just the upkeep of new products and photos.

We did not have an online shop before Lightspeed eCom. Now our customers have the ability to see what products we have in stock, so that they can either come in store or shop online from home.

Fairly seem less integration with LightspeedPOS.

A lot of manual work to update product descriptions etc.

eCom integrated easily with the LightspeedPOS.  It allowed us to setup a large product catalogue, with fairly reliable server capabilities.  Lightspeed eCom was much faster and easier to use than WooCommerce.

I like the simple fact that you get a live person when you call for help, and your issue is usually resolved on the initial phone call.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

I wish there were more "free" features in the templates, but it works for me as it is now. This product could be better if the onboarding training was more tailored to nonprogramming folks like me.

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selling my wares online is a new solution for me. This pandemic has put a wrench in live sales of my jewelry, and being able to distribute them online is awesome! I don't know if my business performance has increased, as I'm so new, but it has to help!!

**What do you like best about Lightspeed eCom?**

I really like that I am able to customize our website and integrate third party apps & APIs easily. And the customer service, the customer service is top notch! Through migration and implementation, the Lightspeed team was right there. At a moment's notice, I can chat with the team or give them a call. Although I may be a one-woman tech team, I have help! It's such a blessing to have a support team for our business. It has been easy to integrate all of our business critical resources and provide a more unified experience for our employees. Employees can access customer data, order data, shipping data, marketing data and product data in one platform. I've been able to customize our store template to our specific business needs and design requirements. It's been a developer's dream.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

My main dislike is that I don't have FTP access to my files on LS servers. This would be extremely helpful to optimize our images as needed. 

I also would like to upload customer data myself. At this time, to upload customer data in bulk, I have to send the data to Lightspeed for import. 

More options for discounts and coupons would be helpful - BOGO, Buy 2 Get One, or FREE Shipping codes based on domestic addresses only (not international).

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed eCom:**

Do your research!  Most third-party applications or business software can be integrated via Lightspeed apps or APIs.  If you have  questions, ask! There is a customer support forum and extensive help documentation available. You will also find that there are many developers that can help with integration of your third-party or business critical applications.

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently use both Lightspeed eCom & Retail (Omni-channel). This helps our retail store and online store stay synced and makes life easier for employees.  Now, all POS sales and eCom sales are in one platform that is easy to use for our employees.  If a customer purchases an item in our retail store, ecommerce inventory stays updated.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed eCom?**

The only thing I appreciate about LS ecom is the somewhat easy navigation.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

Lightspeed goes public and doesn't have gift cards. Except you can get gift cards with some terrible work around that goes to another website for payment(only $600 and $20/mo.). Paywall after paywall. You want a sign up form on your site? Paywall subscription app. Lightspeed has built an amateur skeleton platform where if you want anything basic you have to sign up for a subscription service. This structure makes it so they sell you on the 60/mo. you spend months getting everything going(digging your own grave) then you'll have to spend 5-10 times just to get the most basic features. The joke is on you if you choose to use lightspeed ecom, ever. Disgusting and manipulative tactics to gain profit while pushing a sub par product. Worst company ever.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed eCom:**

Don't do it. Its just not capable of handling any serious business's need to grow. Every time you want to add features for your customers/users its either impossible or its behind yet another paywall subscription. I can say that this platform has cost me financially and negatively affected my career. 

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LS Ecom does not have:

Gift Cards - without using some shady workaround that takes customer to another url for payment($600 setup and $20/mo. subscription)
Forms - without $20/ mo. subscription service
Affiliate marketing - without $79/mo service
Email marketing - without $40/mo. service
Loyalty program - without $80/mo. service
and on and on and on. 
Unable to modify sitemap for the simplest of SEO.
SEO is terrible. I'm an SEO professional.

The good feature is that the register is connected and synced  with  the store inventory and website! The program is very user friendly with simple and  easy to access the menus .Lightspeed offers functionality for customizable checkout, upsell and cross-sell features, related product recommendations, promotions and custom pricing for single items or groups of items, customer product 

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

The product is Expensive and complex for very small businesses and startups. Also the payment for subscription for one year is not advisable for a startup.The level of support is not always available hence a novice cannot get the full benefit with no support

A good cloud based eCommerce solution that has  great for integration between instore sales and   inventory.

we have increased our customers and also the good sync with the inventory helps us to restock and know the  reorder level for the inventory

Lightspeed eCom is a solid solution for a brick-and-mortar store looking to make the leap to ecommerce, particularly if they're already running the Lightspeed POS.  The way it simplifies and streamlines everything is probably its best feature.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

While it's a nice place to start, the relative lack of customizability compared to other ecommerce playforms out there is a drawback.  It can also be costly, depending on your setup.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed eCom:**

Depending on the size of your operation, you may want to consider Magento or Shopify.  Both have third-party extensions available that can help you sync to a Lightspeed POS.

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem was linking our in-store POS to our online warehouse database and keeping both in sync.  Lightspeed eCom helped us achieve this.

Learning this tool was a breeze when I worked in retail. I barely had to ask any questions because the layout was so clean and simple to understand.

Expensive and complex for very small businesses. One year commitment

Ability to upload vendor price list, descriptions to Lightspeed. All of our vendors information is at our finger tips, before we would have to hunt or go looking for this information now it’s just there.

The Lightspeed app is simple, all encompasing, and intuitive PoS software that most anyone can use if they spend a few moments with it. The UI and formatting are excellent.

Ease of set up, everything is highly customizable with no requirement for coding experience.
Excellent selection of templates for all types of businesses, again all can be highly customized
The overall platform is very feature rich, without the need to install lots of apps.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

If you require an onmi channel solutions (retail and ecom), be sure to not build out your trial as they need to provision you with an account that is configured for omni. We spent a week building out our site to realize that we had been emailed new credentials after we subscribed, and this was not made clear!

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed eCom:**

Lightspeed provides a super fast page load time which is great for the end user/customer. Support, albeit a wait sometimes, they are exceptionally helpful, nothing is too much of an issue and they make a point of following up on tickets that they create in a prompt fashion, rather than you having to chase them.

**What problems is Lightspeed eCom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have experienced much faster page load times than compared to BigCommerce and Shopify, a smoother vendor relationship than prior platforms and the ease of setting up products and managing inventory is infinitely easier with Lightspeed.

Easy to pull reports and see total sales, discounts, discounts and the inventory management is decent. 

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed eCom?**

You need a million apps to make this program talk to other programs. Everything is additional. My company uses the monthly program and they said they can’t help me over the phone just via chat and email. We pay $1000 a month and someone can’t help me?

It’s not comparable with anything! We have to get a ton of third party apps to make this platform useful and talk to our inventory management software
