As an SME, we are obviously constrained by budgets, and this is where Plytix has the market cornered. You get 90-95% of the functionality for a fraction of the cost. Would we go with one of the bigger boys if we could afford it? Probably, but we don't, and we still need to manage our product information. I'd argue Akeneo has a cleaner, more user-friendly interface and their DAM is significantly better than Plytix; you'd expect that for the huge outlay. If you want ease of use, implementation and integration, then Plytix is the one for you, particulalrly as a small company. Their customer support is second to none, in fact from the sales pitch to the implentation, to the testing and the day to day management, all the team members I have dealt with have been absolutely superb - second to none. Their employees take time to listen to your struggles and actually act upon them. The great thing is they fully understand the limitation of their own system/APIs so are always looking for effective workarounds or fixes unlike other software companies. They are thorough and professional and genuinely give you that feeling that they want you to succeed. The system itself is easy to use once you get used to it. It has it's foibles like any software but as long as you let the guys there know, they will look to fix it or add it to their future roll-outs of which they are fairly regular. Again, another positive is they take on your feedback and are always looking at ways to improve how they work or what features need improving or introducing. Big shout out to our past Account Managers Jesse, Chelsea and our current one Karina - you are a credit to the company. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** Nothing they don't already know. The DAM could be better and give you more control of how you can place assets on a Shopify page. That is no doubt linked with the current API which they are looking to continually improve. A reporting suite would be most welcome in the system too. It is a very easy platform to use in order to manage products and push them live to Shopify, with minimal training on the PIM. Additionally, our account manager Eva Rodriguez has been very wonderful and helpful. She has helped us solve problems that have enhanced our processes on the platform and implementation of new features using Plytix. Eva has also recommended great features we can use to boost the functionality of our store using upsell, cross-sell functions through the PIM and formulas for automated publishing of products. It did take slightly longer than we anticipated but Karina went out of her way to help the team get to grips with the platform to try and get us up and running as quickly as possible and her knowledge is excellent. It's still early days and there is much more we can do to optimise our workflows within Plytix but so far it feels like an essential tool for managing product data and gives us complete control over what we send through to Shopify. They made it so much easier to include new products to Shopify that only that is already worth it. Also, anytime I needed any kind of support, either José (our super sales manager) or Karina (our adorable key account) were so fast to reply to us. The onboarding process was very smooth and Karina was very patient with me, but it was so easy that I quickly understood how it worked. Today, it's my everyday platform that helps me in everything. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** I would say nothing, but there is one small thing that could help even more customers (such as myself) to have some kind of backup for all the customers data, even if you include in their package plan. Thanks to the multitude of available attributes and the very easy-to-use UI it's a blast to add new details - even during production. So far we haven't encountered any bugs or issues on our end. Since we don't use the default-adapters of the system, we are mainly using Plytix's API which is amazing to use as well. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** There is nothing we're actually disliking about Plytix - the only feature we would love so see in the future would be "read-only-attributes" within the UI that can only be changed via API. This would allow us to set and store attribute-values that are not supposed to be changed by our users. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Plytix as a "single-source-of-truth" to host our catalogue of ~6.000 active products which will then be transferred/forwarded into our ERP. At the same time we are using the Channel-feature to provide structured lists of products to our interenal teams and also to our clients. First, our website pulls all product data directly from Plytix - keeping all content consistent and concise. Secondly, our dealer partners need product data and assets to set up our products on their websites - in minutes we can pull all product data and product images into a single .zip. Makes our lives easier, and our customers happy. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** The only downside isn't really a Plytix issue per se. We had SO many products to enter into Plytix in order to get the system fully up and running for us. This ended up being a 2 FTE effort for nearly a year. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our website content consistent and easily accessible. We use these extensively and the PDF printouts do not have the same visual presentation that we need. I wish we could limit user roles to attribute groups so that visibility to those groups is only available with permissions. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to struggle to get marketing data and images on a regular basis. Neither of us have previous experience in PIM. We picked Plytix as a possible candidate from a number of PIMs we looked at. We presented the detail to the MD and Sales Director using the various information gleaned from the internet and the decision was made on the videos we presented. Our regular contact with the team has been superb and our hands have been held all along the way. Nothing is too much trouble and where necessary any formulas we need have been provided to us. The product is very easy to use and to set up. I now access it most days and am able to update it and pull information for my colleagues and customers very easily. It is especially useful to be able to give access to colleagues in the business whilst maintaining control. It is a great product, intuitive and always available. Communication is great and we know when there is an update and those are explained well or if needed a call is always available. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** I find the "help" file is not always intuitive and difficult to navigate. I have spent some time in order to find what I want then am unable to find it again, when I want to refer to it. A book mark would be useful. Otherwise, I have no issues or dislikes. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to update on an daily basis and keep ranges and lists up to date. One of the features I appreciate most is how seamless it is to import large data sets into the PIM. We currently use a specialized AI tool to populate an Excel sheet with detailed product information, which we then import directly into Plytix without issues. Our next step is to connect this AI directly to the Plytix API to fully automate the enrichment process for new products. We're really looking forward to taking this next leap in streamlining our product data management. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** Since the latest update, I've noticed that the option to display a specific number of products per tab (e.g., 25, 50, 100) is no longer available. Now, all products are listed continuously under each other. While the new layout provides a complete overview, it sometimes affects performance—scrolling can feel sluggish due to the amount of data being loaded at once. **Recommendations to others considering Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM:** Do your research on multiple PIM solutions and use the trial version to get a feeling **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have about 1000+ sku's and we were working with Excel lists. Our products have around 50 attributes (excluding different languages), so each time we had to make a new offer by going over multiple Excel files, wich takes a lot time. With Plytix we have now stored all our product information in one database and it's really easy to make offers for different customers. it's also possible to put all of your content into Plytix, like photo's/video's. This enhancement has made it easier to group and structure our data more efficiently, streamlining several workflows and saving valuable time. Also, the new AI formula assistant makes creating and correcting errors when creating or updating formulas a much easier task. Additionally, I continue to be impressed by Plytix's customer support. They recently resolved a critical data channel output issue, ensuring our workflows remain uninterrupted. Their responsiveness and commitment to finding solutions make a real difference for us. **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** One potential improvement I would appreciate is an enhancement to the user interface. Specifically, it would be helpful to have the option to pin or freeze selected columns to the left side of the screen, so they remain visible while scrolling horizontally through product data. The interface is user-friendly, and the ability to customize attributes, create smart lists, and share data via channels or brand portals saves so much time. Upsides: Clean, intuitive layout Great for team collaboration Powerful filtering and segmentation options!! Easy integration with retailer templates Fast customer support and very helpful resources **What do you dislike about Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM?** The platform can be slow when searching SKUs or loading Smart Lists, especially those Smart Lists with a Static lists included. Bulk editing is limited—editing more than three attributes at once would be a big improvement. AI functionality could be more implemented. It would save time to use prompts to autofill or generate content across multiple SKUs at once, instead of manually adding the same prompt to each attribute per SKU . There’s also a lack of guidance in the Help Center on managing client accounts, particularly how changes in the main account impact them. Automation is limited. Tasks like adding a new attribute require manual updates across all Brand Portals, including display settings etc. Finally, Brand Portals could be more retailer-friendly—retailers can't filter by multiple SKUs or OCDs, which would make navigation much easier and time efficient. **What problems is Plytix Cloud PIM & DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** It centralizes all product data, making it easier to update, maintain, and share information with retailers and internal teams. ### 48. They can login and find all information of our products in one place in their own language wich is always the latest version.
