The people are the most helpful, there are some areas of the software that are not intuitive and particularly with the W2s as we don't pay much attention to them but for once a year so it's easy to forget how to maneuver through. Each support representative we've had has been fast to respond and very helpful at guiding us through and teaching us along the way. At each request for assistance they send a meeting invite which is so much easier than going back and forth in a support caseor trying to talk it through on the phone. Also we have a very large number of employees and the software handles the size well. The status bars also keep us informed when we have a long running process and should disband and the visual is easy to calculate approximate times so we can plan to get back together when it's done. 1 year we didn't have a consistent resource to work with and that was a struggle, I think because we hopped from resource to resource each time we called there were details that were missed and we had some mistakes in the process. The efficiency of routing invoices, the efficiency of processing invoices, the interface into our ERP system, and the accessibility of invoices without going to the AP files.
We have been able to link our invoices into a Crystal Report which gives the end user their expenses for the month that flow through AP. With a single click they can see every invoice that hit their department. The Finance Team also finds this very useful when doing expense analytics so they can see what invoices are causing expense fluctuation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The installation process took way longer than we were told. Some of that was our fault but most was not. Both of our installation people quit before we finished. We were then given a more senior person to help us finish up. We were told tyhat we could build reports using Crystal Reports, but no one at MHC had a clue how to do it. Reduces paper costs and helps create a productive-non cluttered work environment. Less likely to loose an invoice.
Can easily track invoice approval turnaround. The implementation went smoothly and we have had great customer service. We use ABBYY daily to review an invoice and determine which department should receive it. The invoice then moves automatically into MHC NorthStar. Our managers are very pleased with how easy it is to code and approve invoices.
The integration back into Lawson, our AP system is smooth. We had a few issues at the beginning of our implementation, but they were quickly resolved by the implementation team.

If you don't have your AP system "cleaned up", and you have multiple vendors with the same or similar names, you may have difficulty in selecting the correct vendor in ABBYY as the realestate gets a bit crowded.
The Web-form seems to have a few "bugs" that still need worked out.
Being used to working with paper, it has been an adjustment relying on electronic processes.
We have noticed that when looking up images in Lawson, they sometimes "bleed" or carry over into your next screen when you have multiple screens open. Then when you click on the image, it may pull a totally different image from the one you expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fairly easy to install the applications on users computer
