  ### 1. Mass Pay and Vendor Onboarding Make Global Payments Effortless

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I liked the fact that the mass pay feature made it possible for me to send payments to hundreds of different vendors in multiple currencies across the globe as opposed to having to log-in to each individual bank portal or type ACH information for each vendor individually. I am now finally able to catch-up on the paperwork and while I was doing it, I was also impressed with how well the vendor on-boarding worked. The vendors were able to input their own banking information and tax documentation so that we did not have to chase them for those items or verify TIN numbers ourselves.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The NetSuite Sync has some reliability issues; If a purchase order is changed after an invoice has been matched to it, you may get posting errors that require manual clean-up and it is frustrating because the whole idea of using this system is to avoid manual data entry. Also, if you are creating a payment batch and something interrupts it in the middle, the entire batch will be deleted and you'll have to recreate it again from scratch, there is no "save-draft" option, which should not be an issue.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem is that the process of paying many vendors around the world was previously a person spending all day doing data entry, trying to get tax forms from the vendors, manually wiring money to the vendors through the bank portals etc and hoping that everything got processed correctly. MHC Software automates the entire process from vendor onboarding to tax compliance to approval to creating a batch of payments to syncing with the ERP systems, thus allowing a much smaller AP team to manage the same volume of payments with a fraction of the manual labor involved. This is what the software does and, for the most part, it does it well.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I like MHC Software since it enhances uniformity in the operations and saves the HR administrative workload. Automating payroll, assignment of shifts, and compliance are also time saving to the team. Combining it with time clocks and accounting systems will provide the right records. Its daily use ensures schedules are maintained, eliminates payroll errors, and provides employees with the assurance that operations are done properly.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The only thing I do not like is that reporting and customization options are not as flexible as we desire in terms of analysing department wide trends. It required additional effort to integrate it with time tracking systems and payroll systems. Daily reliance implies that every day you will have to manually fix some issues in syncing or leave approvals. Advanced shift planning features might be less complicated to facilitate the process of scheduling.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary deficiencies addressed by MHC Software are scheduling and HR management. The automated payroll, shift and leave request keep the processes within check. The collaboration between HR and managers is enhanced, administrative workload is minimized, and the hours and benefits of the employees are correct by their daily use. Coworkers have a stronger sense of security that the payrolls and schedules are managed in a reliable way.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I appreciate the integrated capabilities of MHC Software, especially how it manages electronic documents and facilitates a seamless transition to a paperless environment for all employees. I find the automated filing widget particularly useful for compliance, as it reduces the risk of non-compliance regarding payroll tax fields and helps prevent errors and legal issues. The platform efficiently handles the complexity of payroll document processing, which is vital for our operations. Additionally, I value the regular updates that keep the software ready and the significant cost savings on printing. The robust integration with our existing SAP systems is another major advantage, ensuring all payroll and pre-data can be managed efficiently.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

I dislike the old-fashioned user interface, which seems outdated and fails to keep up with modern design standards. The mobile experience is lacking, making it difficult to navigate or perform tasks smoothly on the go.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I love being able to adjust approval workflows, as it significantly reduces manual work for our teams. It has noticeably lowered our overall workload, and I really appreciate how the entire invoicing process is automated. The system also makes managing payments much easier and more straightforward.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The table reports are excellent, and vendor payments feel secure. Personally, I haven’t had any negative experiences. So far, I don’t see any downsides to using MHC Software; at this point, there’s really nothing I don’t like.

This tool helps us manage transactions efficiently and has noticeably improved our processing efficiency. It has greatly enhanced our team’s workflow and made it easier to streamline monthly payments. It also allows me to handle large volumes of payments without issues.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The thing I like most about MHC is that it can be used in conjunction with tools that we use comfortably, primarily our ERP and document systems. I work there quite frequently, and it is indeed a blessing to have an arrangement that does not obstruct. Document routing saves me loads of manual work due to the number of features. After we hooked it to our finance stack, the process became easier and made work a lot easier on an everyday basis.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

MHC Software's biggest weakness is the fact that some of the setup procedures are more time-consuming than I would prefer, particularly when modifying more recent workflows. As we work in that system frequently, such slowdowns can slack down the processes that are expected to be faster. Some of the features are to some extent hard and it restricts our ability to deal with exceptions. The weaknesses at times compel me to engage in additional work beyond the system which interrupts our daily operations.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MHC has assisted us in getting most of the messy document routing that would sometimes take my mornings. Having fed it in our finance tools, the approvals and files flow become much more predictable. I spend much of my time in it and it saves a lot of going back and forth that we had to go through earlier. It has made our team operate quicker and ensured that nothing gets piling up, thus making the business run smoothly in general.

I love MHC Software for its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate even for people who are not very tech-savvy. **What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I like the way MHC manages the movement of documents. I am in it often and therefore the uniform frequency makes it all predictable. It also integrates well with our ERP, hence no possible stagnation of issues. These features, particularly those regarding routing and automated steps, maintain a reduced workload on my side. Implementation was not as difficult as I thought and it became something I use on daily basis.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The worst thing about this is that some of the customization features are inadequate in my case. By making regular use of it, I constantly bang on those walls when I would prefer not, and it can slow down simple readjustments. A fine implementation was used, but there are areas where additional layers seem to be required. Those gaps make the entire process slow down and introduce additional steps to my team when I am attempting to make rapid updates when it comes to workflows.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MHC does make the process of document tracking and approval really simple. I attend it on a regular basis and this keeps everything at par on a daily basis. It integrates well with our ERP and the number of features assist in eliminating most of the manual work. It has made life easier to all people since we are not searching files or getting lost of what the other one did. It has relieved me of much stress off my shoulders, particularly on strict deadlines.

I find MHC Software's documentation exceptionally useful, as it significantly helps in migrating records and tracking documents in a centralized manner, which streamlines my workflow. I appreciate how MHC Software solves the problem of losing documents or having them scattered in different places by keeping everything in one place, making it easy to find and track what I need. What I like most about MHC Software is its ease of use; it is very user-friendly and doesn't require me to be a technical expert to navigate it. The clean and simple interface further enhances the usability, making my tasks efficient and straightforward. The initial setup was very easy, and I did not encounter any trouble, as MHC Software guided me step by step through the process. Overall, the simplicity and efficiency of the software contribute to a seamless experience.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

MHC simplify our complicated international payroll processing greatly. The fact that it is now possible to integrate payroll information in one system across multiple countries is a revelation that has made our processing time almost equal to half. The strong audit trail it offers is also a feature that we like as it has made internal compliance checks very easy.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Sometimes, reporting module may be slightly slow in creating complicated custom reports and patience may be required. We have also discovered that updating employee tax information on very niche situations can be a manual process and therefore takes longer than it ought to take. The merging of certain of our smaller and specialized benefit provider systems has posed minor challenges as well.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that we were grappling with was the amount of administrative work that comes with managing the benefits enrollment and changes in our expanding, distributed workforce. With MHC in place, the enrollment process becomes a lot more comfortable to the employees, and our HR department can devote significantly less time to corrections and the provision of the simplest answers. This has enabled us to pay more attention to strategic HR initiatives.

We've had a great experience using NorthStar from MHC Software. The platform is intuitive and user-friendly, which made adoption across our team smooth and straightforward. Integration with our existing systems went off without a hitch, and the implementation process was handled efficiently.

Customer support has been another strong point—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful whenever we've needed assistance. 

Overall, NorthStar has made a noticeable difference in how we manage our processes, and we’re very satisfied with the results.

While we did require some customization that weren’t part of the standard offering, the MHC team worked closely with us to deliver exactly what we needed and continue to support us as our needs evolve.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I personally like the ease with which MHC Software helps us to generate contracts with new service providers. It autopopulates so much content and this saves loads of time on legal forms. Intuitive dashboard can also help me view all the pending facilities work order approvals within a short time period across our different locations. Such an overview maintains a steady flow.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The tablet interface may be somewhat difficult in case of entering detailed site inspection notes in a tablet. I tend to leave some of my tasks to be completed when I get to my desk. Notification settings have few customization choices. I get updates alerts that are not necessarily urgent to my immediate action.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our retail stores in various parts of the region had their own records and compliance between vendors was disjointed. Ensuring that all the sites had up to date safety checklists and proper service contracts were a hard thing. After implementing MHC Software all our facility related documentation and approval processes have been centralized. This has introduced the much needed uniformity and we are always in line with the local regulations.

I love the fact that all of our employees data is on one point at MHC Software with the information that we could not have saved on our own including the onboarding paperwork and reviews. It implies that I would not need to cross search five pages to get a whole line of evidence about the journey of someone here. This combined information makes our own reports to the executive summaries so easy and so accurate.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Nevertheless, even though it is very powerful, it was somewhat intimidating to initially set up custom fields and reporting templates in MHC Software. It was not always easy to see the rationale behind the connection of particular pieces of information as an individual without a technical education. I would also like to have a stronger sandbox where we can test new settings without getting near our real data.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most common type of aggregated workforce insights our leadership team requested was things such as, who has certain certifications by department, what;s our average tenure by business unit. Compiling this involved a manual data pull of various often uneven sources and then hours in spreadsheets. MHC Software has had a 100 percent change in the way we deliver strategic workforce intelligence. I can now run accurate reports on what our mix of skills are or on retention patterns in just a few minutes with all the data in one place. This transition enables our executive officers to get significantly better decisions concerning resource allocations and future hiring.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The most interesting thing with MHC Software is its adaptive document routing logic. We have complicated project specifications that require various channels of approval depending on the content or particular metadata fields and MHC does this without any issue at all. The next major victory is the complete transparency that it offers; it will be so easy to trace every single step of action on a document that we have in supporting our regulatory submissions as to who viewed and when and who signed it off.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Our special document types needed just a little more effort in the initial fine tuning of very specific workflow rules than we thought. It required a bit of intensity to get those edge cases perfect. It is also sometimes less intuitive to create ad hoc reports on non standard analytics, as well as the custom field.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most pressing area of need we had was to keep one single, traceable versions of key project specifications and engineering change orders through different departments and third parties. Copyright Before MHC Software, we would continually experience version control organizations as well as delays in obtaining approvals on the correct document. We are all now working off the latest version and our turnaround time on approving these critical documents will have reduced significantly, further ensuring we are always up to date on project baselines.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I do like the easy to use interface offered by MHC Software to handle our client communications. In particular, I enjoy the simplicity of being able to follow email conversations and attach them to particular project files. The built-in calendar feature is also highly beneficial to schedule meetings with clients and make sure that all the arrangements are made. It has actually enhanced the flow.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Despite the software being mostly straightforward to use, I have noticed that it can be very time-consuming at times to make extremely detailed reports, which is a bit longer than I would like. The mobile application would also need some improvements. It is decent enough to use on the fly, but a more powerful mobile experience would be nice to work remotely, and the search option has occasional issues with the archived older documents.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled to get our client project information organized, particularly as we expanded more than the initial team of five up to fifteen. We were also forever in pursuit of emails and attempted to locate the most current version of the documents. Everything is now centralized, readily accessible and version controlled. It has transformed the efficiency of projects and we are able to answer the queries of the clients in a timely manner.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The User Interface is simple to understand.  The support person we are working with for integration is always available and calm, cool, collected.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Backend is not simple and seems antiquated.
Integration involves many departments - The set up seems more IT department friendly with terminology and administrator requirements. However, the content being loaded is for payroll and human resources so there are many that need to be involved in the calls.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a print partner and digital solution for government required mailings such as W2s and 1095Cs. 
MHC was able to step in as a print partner in a pinch.  Now we are moving forward to digitize delivery.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I like how MHC Software puts all our project documentations conveniently in one secure place Our field teams and superintendents are now able to view blueprints and safety guidelines through any device, cleanser of any versions or need to print off stacks of paper. The audited audit trail every change in documents and viewing access is equally very comforting to our regulatory compliance requirements.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The process of setting up document categorization was a bit rigid in that it was somewhat stiffer to plan the different types of projects we had at this initial stage. Occasionally the search tool is very narrow and it can be difficult to retrieve a document when you cannot recall the exact title or key words.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always had the problem of old design plans being used at the job sites and lost permits in physical transportation. MHC Software eliminated then entire headache of version control of documents by guaranteeing that there is only one source of truth. Project managers can now be assured that everyone is operating to the most current safety or construction plan and this has saved loads in unnecessary rework and schedule impacts.

MHC has great support. I am contacting them a lot for support and updates and they are always very helpful.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Some of the processes, especially Invoice automation, need a lot of human interaction and the process could be automated better.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are our print solution for Infor/Lawson and our Invoice Automation process. We also use MHC for eforms (Employee Reimbursement, Payment Request, Refund Voucher, Capital Purchase Request).

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The thing I like most is the per-document tagging control. We have various grant files and applying an easy-to-use custom metadata makes it impossible to lose and miscategorize files in the process of compliance checking. Various approvers can have flex routing on the system as well which is a game changer. It fits easily into our diverse internal records of all-volunteer expense reports to multi-million dollar project proposals.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

Their built in reporting tools are powerful, but are occasionally not very effective in very niche cross departmental data aggregation which we require to provide specific donor reporting. We discovered that some of the more recent custom types of forms needed a steeper learning curve than originally expected to be used by non technical employees. It would also be an awesome addition to get fluid mobile experience to review complex documents.

All interaction and documents changes are now automatically recorded and give an undeniable and retrievable record. This has saved us huge amount of time in preparing our audits and has also given us a new sense of confidence in the integrity of our data.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

I am actually fond of the way MHC Software automates all our payroll. It easily makes complicated tax determination and deductions which save us a myriad of hours per pay period. The in-built document management tool is also a massive success to us. We are able to conveniently keep retrieve and maintain all our HR and financial documents in soft copy. This has greatly enhanced how we keep records and compliance audits are very easy. It is a sturdy system that in real sense streamlines our vital operations.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

In some cases initial configuration and installation of new modules is somewhat complicated. It will take a little amount of time and technical knowledge to have everything right. The interface with the user in some of the old sections needs some redesign. It works fine, but the user experience would be improved on a more modern design.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before MHC Software our personnel spent a monumental time conducting manual payrolls and handling physical documents. We often experienced data entry problems and were unable to find a particular record, quickly, so as to perform audits. Today these processes have changed fully due to MHC Software. No matter what, payroll is efficient and accurate each and every time. We digitally have stored our all important documents easily accessible on the digital platform which has done away with the manual work and moreover the manual errors to a great extent. This implies that our team will be able to engage in more strategic activities rather than getting involved in administrative issues.

I prefer MHC Software as it makes our back-office process faster. The most useful one is accounts payable. When the invoices arrive, it scans them and forwards them to individuals that require approving, thus we are not needed to spend time. The document management has everything organized and accessible, and the automation of the workflows reduces errors and makes the approvals straightforward.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

MHC should enhance its interface. It looks outdated and may be difficult to learn by a new user. The process of installing elaborate workflow may be more technical than anticipated or a user requires massive assistance by the team. This is not a dealbreaker, but it would be better to have a more modern design and simpler customization to self-service.

**What problems is MHC Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MHC Software has transformed our manual document processing. Our finance team used to spend days on paper approvals, often misplacing documents. Now, everything is digital and automatic. Invoices follow a clear approval process, and we can quickly check statuses and find records, greatly improving our efficiency and compliance.

What I like best about MHC Software is definitely its strong document automation and storage capabilities. The ability to digitize, manage, and quickly retrieve documents, like invoices or HR records, is a massive time saver. The workflow automation is also incredibly powerful; we've automated several approval processes that used to be entirely manual. For example, getting an invoice routed and approved now happens digitally within hours, compared to days or even weeks before. Plus, integrating it with our existing ERP system was relatively smooth and added significant value.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

What I dislike is primarily the user interface, which feels a bit dated compared to some modern cloud solutions. Navigating can sometimes be less intuitive than it could be, requiring more clicks for certain tasks. While implementation brought great results, the initial setup and configuration did feel complex and required significant internal resources and expertise. Ongoing maintenance also feels a bit more hands-on than we'd prefer.

MHC Software is really solving the problem of manual, paper-heavy processes and slow information flow within our organization. We have been using Engage and rendering products for over 20 years (since they were Ecrion)  and it forms the core of our business processing millions of documents annually for a variety of verticals. Most of our documents are regulatory and are time based so flexibility and performance are key. We have extended the product using our own custom tasks to provide features to our customer like content management, business rules and validation. All our documents are designed by information engineers and designers so its also important we can get output that is accurate and on brand.

Sorry to say, not great at communicating new features, roadmaps and releases.

Outstanding customer service. 
The new Document Express /DSS upgrade is also easy to use and effective.
Image Express functions well. Once you get these set up, the administration is fairly simple and the applications rarely malfunction. We use Infor Cloudsuite for HCM/FSM and MHC integrates pretty well with Infor.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

I'm not sure if we have the latest and greatest, but the admin tools for Document Express and Image Express as far as setup/configuration have very outdated user interfaces and are somewhat buggy. UI design overall is fairly lacking.

It can handle printing aspects for Payroll that our ERP solution (Infor) currently does not have a solution for. We also use it for HR/Payroll document hosting and self service. Although Infor now has the ability to handle this part, it did not when we originally implemented, and we will not have the resources to implement it in Infor anytime soon. MHC also solves our ACA Reporting requirement.

We use MHC for payroll check printing and W2's.  Their software is easy to use and the support is some of the best we have received.  Both implementations were quick and pain free.  Our employees are happy with the smooth transition of their W2's and one click ability to print them.  While working with MHC on the set up both products, the team was extremely knowledgable and went out of their way to answer any last minutes questions or concerns.  The continued customer support has been wonderful. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a printing solution.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The people are the most helpful, there are some areas of the software that are not intuitive and particularly with the W2s as we don't pay much attention to them but for once a year so it's easy to forget how to maneuver through. Each support representative we've had has been fast to respond and very helpful at guiding us through and teaching us along the way. At each request for assistance they send a meeting invite which is so much easier than going back and forth in a support caseor trying to talk it through on the phone. Also we have a very large number of employees and the software handles the size well. The status bars also keep us informed when we have a long running process and should disband and the visual is easy to calculate approximate times so we can plan to get back together when it's done.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

1 year we didn't have a consistent resource to work with and that was a struggle, I think because we hopped from resource to resource each time we called there were details that were missed and we had some mistakes in the process. As long as there is consistency the process is very smooth.

They print and send all our opted out W2's and provide an online link for terminated employees so they can gain access to their W2s during tax time.

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

The efficiency of routing invoices, the efficiency of processing invoices, the interface into our ERP system,  and the accessibility of invoices without going to the AP files.
We have been able to link our invoices into a Crystal Report which gives the end user their expenses for the month that flow through AP.  With a single click they can see every invoice that hit their department.  The Finance Team also finds this very useful when doing expense analytics so they can see what invoices are causing expense fluctuation.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

The installation process took way longer than we were told.  Some of that was our fault but most was not.  Both of our installation people quit before we finished.  We were then given a more senior person to help us finish up.  We were told tyhat we could build reports using Crystal Reports, but no one at MHC had a clue how to do it.  It was a big selling point for us, and its disappointing that we still don't have it working.

Quicker AP processing from invoice receipt to final processing.  Going paperless has a huge plus.  Accessing invoices from within our own ERP system or the invoice repository is a huge time saver.  Accessing invocies from a custom Crystal Report which resides on our BI dashboards is huge for department managers!

MHC is one of Lawson/Infor's critical partners.  They have collaborated for decades, and MHC is the go-to vendor for printing solutions, with a widening product base for AP solutions as well.

The UI for Document Express is Windows 95 era.  I know they have more modern products, but a surprising number of my consulting clients still go with DE 4.5

**What do you like best about MHC Software?**

Reduces paper costs and helps create a productive-non cluttered work environment.  Less likely to loose an invoice.
Can easily track invoice approval turnaround.  The implementation went smoothly and we have had great customer service.  We use ABBYY daily to review an invoice and determine which department should receive it.  The invoice then moves automatically into MHC NorthStar.  Our managers are very pleased with how easy it is to code and approve invoices.  
The integration back into Lawson, our AP system is smooth.  We had a few issues at the beginning of our implementation, but they were quickly resolved by the implementation team.
Integration from Lawson back to NorthStar to print checks and process ACH files is smooth.

**What do you dislike about MHC Software?**

If you don't have your AP system "cleaned up", and you have multiple vendors with the same or similar names, you may have difficulty in selecting the correct vendor in ABBYY as the realestate gets a bit crowded.  
The Web-form seems to have a few "bugs" that still need worked out.  

Being used to working with paper, it has been an adjustment relying on electronic processes.

We have noticed that when looking up images in Lawson, they sometimes "bleed" or carry over into your next screen when you have multiple screens open.  Then when you click on the image, it may pull a totally different image from the one you expected.

MHC is solving our manual invoice sorting and delivery.  This is done electronically now versus sorting into a mail room.  The integration back to Lawson posts invoices automatically.  We no longer have to touch each invoice again.  We are able to track how long a manager holds onto an invoice before approving it.  This helps prevent late payments.  The ACH file is easy to use so we are encouraging our vendors to allow us to pay electronically which reduces paper usage even more, plus. we can reduce the number of days that we pay out to since ACH is faster than manual checks going through the mail.

We create client/customer correspondence PDF documents as well as SWIFT messages that can be quite complex with a large amount of complexity and customizations.  Ecrion provides the ability to create templates with special conditions and formatting with very good performance and stability

I honestly cannot say there is anything I don't like. It has been a very useful tool that was easy to learn and I have a great support team to back me up at MHC.

1099 and w2. We are able to send out our 1099 and w2's electronically which saves us a lot of time.
