What do you like best about Knowify?

The interface is extremely user-friendly. We were able to navigate the majority of the portal just by feel. The onboarding that they provide is very helpful and completely customized to your needs. All the staff we have worked with have been professional, caring, and customer service-oriented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowify?

We utilize Quickbooks Online for our accounting software and that was one of the reasons we signed with Knowify since the two are integrated. I do wish that the Contract Jobs worked a bit more similarly to the 'Customer Projects' in Quickbooks from a hierarchy stance - it would be helpful to manage large-scale contract jobs that have multiple lots (we have projects that can be 300+ lots). What do you like best about Knowify?

What keeps us at Knowify - invoices with option to have detailed SOV

I didn't see anything like this at any other software.

It looks very presentable - all our customers like them.

And it was smart to make a column with current numbers in a different color background, as when we have many pages, otherwise, it would be easy to lose track of what columns present.

Also I like a fast help available if any problems occur.

Connection to QuickBooks online - precious option, it is well integrated. Vendors, projects, invoices and bills - all we need and easy to sort out

Convenient that we can search bills by names, by paid or no, invoices by numbers (if some general contractor has a few projects with us, they write only invoice # in their submittances - and the fastest way to find what project it is - to type invoice # in Knowify). Even though I can find it in many places, but just Knowify is the fastest way because of less clicks.

I like flexibility in due dates on bills (Knowify doesn't have the same flexibility at invoices, but i correct it in QuickBooks then)

We use Knowify daily, for all bills (also some of them which are not on projects) and invoices

We have many projects, some of them small, some big, start and finish at different time - we appreciate that we have unlimited projects ,

Sometimes we need to activate old projects, to add something there, and disactivate them again - thank you that is is available.

It was easy to start and learn how to use it. Now the design is even better -everything is on the main page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowify?

Payroll option - expensive, with constant rotation of people in construction and weekly payroll, it is too difficult to keep track of active people, plus, it is not easy steps to fill in all info.

Not all employees are computer geeks to ask them to sign in and report hours, and to assign hours to correct projects (very they have a few projects in one week, sometimes even two projects on the same day) - all this makes impossible to use payroll. So we keep track of the costs in Excels .

Plus the cost for each employee who active, even if they are not on payroll for a while (but we didn't turn them off) - the costs look as too much.

Wagepoint is much cheaper .

Now, for example, we have 1.5 times rate, 2 times rate. and it is in the same week. Employees cannot enter it - they hardly understand what they should report us. We have it all in Excel, having extra lines for another rate - can you imagine how we should calculate the cost each week in Knowify?

So it would be us (me and my assistant) who enters all in Knowify, in Excel, and in Wagepoint. No time for that.

Another one issue- the reports are too expensive and they don't have all we need, also we don't need them on a regular basis, but mostly once per year, sending the same report (WOH to insurance, bank, different software of the customers) . What I need to keep track - I have own Excels for separate projects and for all projects together on one Excel.

If you wish, I could show you the Excels we have - maybe you can figure out what want customers like we,

When we tried to use Knowify reports, I still had to adjust all manually. I don't know if you changed it now, but in general it takes less time and have constantly updated data on my Excels. Also, I have one interactive Excel, which is connected to all other projects we have, so I always have current data in all I need for reports.

For example, one details I had - Knowify WOH reports had NET data (projects cost, etc), but when payment comes, it has HST. So technically your reports should calculate NET from the paid amount, but because it didn't, the reports didn't make sense and were useless. To calculate %, I added manually a column that calculated NET on payments of the invoices.

So, these two functions we didn't like - payroll and reports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Knowify?

- Knowify's integration with Quickbooks very good, reduces a lot of time with entries and reduces mistakes.

- Time tracking works well and is very easy to invoice projects while tracking expenses and bills.

- Is possible to export the projects to .cvs to make analysis of the costs, which is very useful.

- Phone App works well for the people on site. Very easy to use (check-in and out) and enter purchases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowify?

- The profit is not accurate for Canada, as it costs includes sales. Skewing the numbers and making dashboard useless.

- Estimating material using the templates is useless as the system will only allow you to enter two decimals for material and time. So for example, if you make a template for painting using 1 sqft as the base, the system will round up your time and material resulting in an insane amount that doesn't make sense. The only option is to increase the base, for ex. calculate per 100 sqft your time and material, which results in an additional step to work around the system.

- It becomes hard to estimate cost (time and material) using plan & track. For big projects is easier to do the work in excel and then import it to Knowify. Having sort of a spreadsheet embedded would be very valuable.

- There are very few reports available and no way to automate a weekly reporting, for example,

- Would be nice to have more functionality in the phone App for Admins.

There is one thing I can directly help with today:

A: We actually have a feature to remove taxes from profit in Canada. It can be enabled in Admin>Customize>Taxes. Hopefully this helps!!

What do you like best about Knowify?

The user friendly layouts are incredible. The integration with quickbooks is seamless and really simple to navigate. The organization of data is delightful to see everything in one place for each project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowify?

The proposal part- for a software as advanced as Knowify, I am so shocked at the way proposals are handled. There should be a way to have multiple proposals for each job- with Different Revision Numbers for each time a revision is needed. This is crazy to me the process of making a revision on proposals. This should definitely be corrected.

Get a numbering system for the proposals and have an option for revisions where the previous proposal can still be referenced or easily accessible for editing. The saved copy thing in documents is strange and the whole process of revisions is very cumbersome for our business. Please do better!

We often revise our proposals and would really benefit from a easier process on that.

The app for the phones is buggy too. Why do i get a push notification on my phone saying i have been assigned a task, and when i click that option it takes me to the Knowify App, notifications tab, and there is nothing there. I do get an email, yes and I can close the notification tab and go to tasks-- but like why not just take me to the tasks section- its annoying to have to do that over and over. Please fix that to where the notification registers to the "notifications tab" or just route the click directly to tasks.

Invoicing- Is there a way to view invoices under the job file? That seems odd to me that it doesn't save it to the documents and we would have to upload it to knowify, when the invoice is already in the system. That seems like an extra unnecessary step. I know we can view them in the invoices section, but it would be easier to have it in the actual job file as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am able to help directly with one of your requests here and now - "Invoicing- Is there a way to view invoices under the job file?"

A:There absolutely is! While in a contract job, if you navigate to the "Activity" tab, you are able to filter your view to be exclusively invoices, using the "view" drop-down. You're also able to look at specific date-ranges when in this view, and easily export the data.

I hope we can double-down on the good that Knowify has done for you, and continue to improve in a way that leaves you even more satisfied. Thank you again for the feedback!

What do you like best about Knowify?

We’ve had a great experience using Knowify.

Their customer service is excellent, responses are always quick, and the team is consistently friendly and helpful whenever we need assistance. The platform is also easy to use, especially when it comes to creating and sending proposals. We haven’t encountered any major issues so far, aside from the tax dropdown when preparing proposals. What do you dislike about Knowify?

There are still a few features that we’ve been hoping to see implemented for years, such as improvements to the sales tax section in proposals. It would be much easier if the tax options were sorted by city or state, or if there was a search bar or wildcard search to find what we need quickly, instead of scrolling through a long list.

Issues getting Knowify to talk with QuickBooks sometimes, Limitations when you have multiple brands within one Entity, Duplications in processes(could have preloaded areas based on what you put on other areas, i.e. proposal work scope goes into work order tab), I wish it had a better Vehicle and Equipment section, Not a fan of the scheduling app, Mobile App is ok, Wish the CRM was a little more involved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Knowify?

Very easy platform to use once you have gone through the training. I like to 10% holdback options that we are able to add to contracts. I like that is it easily synced with QuickBooks to be able to track materials against jobs and deal with the bookkeeping at the same time. What do you dislike about Knowify?

-More reports such as WIP reports

- Wish that service jobs were still part of the base price instead of as an add on

- CRM built in

- I find that sometimes the tax does not match that of Quickbooks- therefore each invoice that I send I have to make sure the tax aligns in QB

I would like to be able to create fixed price job and then add Time and Material change orders to it as the job progresses. We often have large jobs that are bid as fixed price jobs, but part way through the job the client will request some additional work that we just complete on a Time and Material basis. When I first spoke with Knowify, I felt that some of the information I was given wasn’t entirely accurate. For example, I was told that the invoice template could be customized in any way I wanted and that all project-related information would automatically transfer over.
