I allows us to easily manage budgets, purchases, and actual costs. It integrates with QuickBooks Online seamlessly. Any questions we ask get an extremely quick and detailed response. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** The mobile app leaves a LOT to be desired. There are several small adjustments to the desktop website that could be added to make it even better such as: Unit of Measure on the purchase orders, Inventory tally system, ability to add individual workflow views, and making the subcontractor work order more descriptive just like the the purchases screen showing the unit and UOM breakdown. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** QuickBooks is terrible with project accounting and purchase orders. This helps construction companies see first hand in detailed areas of the job if they are doing estimates properly and actually makes them realize where they need to make changes. We have Quickbooks desktop, which isn't easy to work with in newer programs. The team at Knowify gave us a way to work around connectivity issues on our end and holding our hand through the entire set up. They continue to be there whenever we have an issue or need assistance. This program has reduced the amount of duplication in our company. We use this program daily to order and schedule. It has made a large difference in our company and has been easy to teach new employees to use. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** The only downside for us is the time clock. We can't use it since our crews use one device to clock in and we don't have the foreman correct time. We prefer to have it done in the office. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a thorough process that has streamlined ordering, price verification, and scheduling inspection. We now have a way to track who did what. We can see when our vendor recieve our email so there is no more excuse that they did not recieve the email. Like Submittals. They need work. Some features are a little too "spread out". IE: Instead of having to click the job then click which tab you want at the top, make buttons, for each job shown in the "Manage Contract Jobs" list, where we can click and go directly to whatever tab we want for that job: Activity, Reports, etc. There are a couple of links there right now for Plan & track and "Contracts and change orders"...but why not have links for all tabs there. I guess, just make the interface a little more cohesive. Just keep tweaking the UI. How about, instead of having to go into the job, then into Job Log...make a quick link to the job log, for each job, right in the Manage Contract Jobs list. This way people are more prone to use the job log for notes, etc. **Recommendations to others considering Knowify:** Do your due diligence. Make sure that Knowify "fits" your needs and that you can import your data into it. Customer support is VERY reactive and they regularly send requests to the development team for consideration in future releases. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are making it easier to manage projects and making it so that, even if they don't have it built-in, so we can connect to it in zapier. Knowify will print an invoice with employee hours on it, but does not include the comments to match the time entries. Our clients expect to know what work was accomplished each day. Our team loves the Contract Jobs screen which we review weekly in a team meeting with management and field leaders. The visual charts make it easy to understand how the job is doing, deep dive easily with a click, and plan on the spot . Black and white spreadsheets of numbers hold little meaning to our field teams and this product has been a game-changer for our team. Creating bids, budgets, and tracking expenses is easy and intuitive. This product has a tool to manage all of your project needs. It integrates very well with Quickbooks Online and makes for easy accounting. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** The purchase order process has provided some challenges when we have many line items and require changes to the original PO down the road. The Knowify team responds very well and works to help resolve issues - but the pdf template needs improvement and easier management when the original PO changes. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Knowify tracks our construction projects from start to finish - including bids, purchasing, labor, subcontracts, and billing. It gives easy web access for managers in the office and a mobile app for our field teams. The information is easy to understand and access. It has brought our management and field teams together to understand how a project is performing. Because Knowify syncs so well with Quickbooks, our accounting stays updated in real time. ### 7. Entering in jobs and sending them to the right staff. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** Sometime the phone app is slow and does not show all the jobs that are on the scheldule for. . Why cant we switch all the service jobs over to the next day all at once. instead of going to each job and doing it serperatly. There should be a "SELECT ALL " or The jobs that are not complete from the day before should move to the next day automatically. That would save so much time. Hard to navigate due to job title / keyword searchs would be better. Even better is the tech support, where you can actually communicate with a real person.. The tech team is responsive and patient even when I ask rookie questions. On the rare occasion that I stump them, they happily pass along ideas to the development crew who will work them into version upgrades. Or they can tell me that what I ask for is not available (yet). Either way they are uber helpful. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** Of course, I would like it to cost less, but isn't that true of everything these days? **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Organizing, organizing, organizing. Namely, it helps us follow through when we have multiple projects going. They are quick to respond and stay with the question until your have a solution that works for you. Overall the sync with QuickBooks Online is great. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** The accounting side of Knowify is not it's strength. I would like to see: - an easy way to adjust the sales tax to match the vendor bill. - Only received PO items to populate the bill - keyboard short cuts for faster data entry - Send customer deposits invoices manually. They are sent automatically based on project start date and I'm not notified that they've gone out, or even that the project manager has set up a deposit so I can expect it. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Knowify is an important part of our tech stack. It's great for time tracking, PO's and project cost tracking, and reporting our job profitability. We have not been able to get the scheduling feature to work the way we need it to, and we do our estimating outside of Knowify as well. It streamlines many of our old processes. Ability to generate and send proposals and invoices from within Knowify is great! Estimates/proposals are easy to generate but Knowify lacks capabilities to sum up gross margin when it varies across multiple line items. Software doesn't currently have the ability to upload pricing lists from various suppliers/vendors; instead each item needs to be manually entered. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Knowify helps me keep my client, project, and sub/vendor information well-organized. The job costing definitely helps our company. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** You have to do things a bit differently than we are used to doing. An example is that if you want information on a purchase order you would not necessarily go to the project, you would go to purchase orders and search there. More search based than project drop down. Also, some of the information has to be accessed through reports (Excel) when it should be there for you to see. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Knowify has helped us get a better track on our costs espically, labor and material. Invoicing is a breeze with all the data existing within the system **What do you dislike about Knowify?** Unfortunately it takes some time to learn about how markups are handled and presented within the Time and Materials contracts. Time tracking and scheduling are also made easy with the help of it. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** It takes a lot of time to understand the functionalities of this application. Also, there are some glitches in the application as well. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are many problems that Knowify is solving. It provides Android and iOS support through which GPS enabled check-in and checkout could be done. It also has a customer portal, which is very helpful in sharing documents with customers. ### 26. No other software we sampled had the same features and showed how our projects were billed throughout the process as good as knowify. **What do you dislike about Knowify?** We are an architecture firm. Knowify was clearly built for contractors and I wish it "spoke our language" a bit more. We were never able to figure out how the staffing and workload allocation features worked which is one of the main reasons we've switched to another software for these functions. **What problems is Knowify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Primarily it solved the need to create fairly detailed invoices. This has helped us track out projects very accurately in terms of billing to clients.
