Allows us to have a rewards program, email and text platform all in one and simply syncs with our Lightspeed POS. Being able to do all in one is the reason we chose them.

**What do you dislike about Kangaroo Rewards?**

The email template builder has some kinks that should be worked out to make the formatting and look better. Also, they are currently moving to a new version and you lose some abilities in the new one that you had in the old version.

They are providing me the ability to have a rewards program, email and text platform all in one simple solution. The integration for rewards makes it easy to redeem.

**What do you like best about Kangaroo Rewards?**

Kangaroo rewards will help us maintain a strong connection with our customers through consistent communication, loyalty rewards and analytics. We just kicked off the rewards program my customers are already excited.  We selected Kangaroo because it integrates with Lightspeed(Pos) and Shopify.  Our previous systems were separate for in-store and online.  With Kangaroo, we can ensure the customers have one system to capture everything.  Kangaroo offers a robust approach to cater to alot of the needs of my store and my customers, making it a WIN-WIN for everyone.
Also the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MARIO! He was so patient and gave excellent advice on all questions.  I would sign up again to work with him!

**What do you dislike about Kangaroo Rewards?**

I don't have any downsides/dislikes at the moment. If I would suggest anything would be the capability to design our widget.

Created one system for my online store and my brick & mortar so my customers can shop online and in-store and earn rewards.  More robust system.

Nothing - their support is amazing and always so responsive. Great documentation and the platform is updated frequently with new improvements.

The draw featuring kangaroo is really very user-friendly. It helps us do draws at our events without having to collect tickets for save receipts to choose a winner.

**What do you like best about Kangaroo Rewards?**

There's a lot you can do with it for sure, and I like that it integrates with our POS. I like that you can schedule emails and have campaigns that repeat automatically that was super useful for us and asking for reviews automatically from every customer. The rewards system was very easy to set up and use. Lots of ways to use it to and options. With Lightspeed integrated it was super easy to redeem the customers points as well or special offers. It runs smoothly I never had any technical difficulties with the points side of things.

**What do you dislike about Kangaroo Rewards?**

Overall felt like it overpromised and under-delivered. I wasn't there when we originally signed up for a lengthy contract, (which we are now looking to get out of). The integration with our POS though good, wasn't as seamless as we thought and required a lot of work to add segments of customers so it wasn't quite as easy to send targeted campaigns. There are a lot of features we don't utilize, but I wish Kangaroo had spent more time developing less features but making them the BEST on the market. The email campaigns are clunky to set up and often, once sent would look different then when I was making them. No complaints about the rewards program it's easy to use and set up and to redeem awards for customers. 
My biggest issue was that I was paying for extra email credits to be added automatically every month (which weren't expensive) but every time I looked at the beginning of the month, they weren't there. I had a hard time explaining that to my account manager and couldn't get a hold of them by phone so gave up pretty much.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangaroo Rewards:**

Think about what your business actually needs. If it's a rewards and referral program Kangaroo could be great for that. Take some time to do research. There's a lot in Kangaroo but I found it overwhelming so if you only need it for one specific area of marketing, you could probably find an easier/less expensive option. If you want to do a lot and have someone dedicated to learning everything about Kangaroo and implementing it, it could definitely be worth it.

Being able to connect with customers and update them. Every time we send an email campaign our website sees a boost in traffic which is great. I believe recurring visits from customers have increased.

In regards to email marketing, we are working to improve the user experience in addition to releasing a new merchant dashboard in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we built several email marketing integrations with  Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and Constant Contact, whereby you can export your customer segments and have the lists auto-update based on customer triggers within the Kangaroo Rewards program.  As for the email credits, there is an option to pay-per-usage, so as to only use credits as you need them.

**What do you like best about Kangaroo Rewards?**

They have such a responsive support team. Whenever I have questions, they're so quick to help. The user interface is relatively easy to use and understand. Sending marketing e-mails is easy with their platform, and keeping track of points is simple. I asked them to add a feature to the points backend, and they were so quick to add it! Throughout the pandemic, they were so quick to help, and I always know that when I need any help, they'll be there to assist. Very reliable.

I wish there were more customizations regarding automated campaigns, but overall the customizations are pretty good.

I like that Kangaroo integrates with my POS system, Lightspeed and doesn't require customers to download the app.

The administration panel is very cumbersome, the editor is complicated to use and format, and it has a lot of bugs.

Take the time to look at the back-end administration panel as well as the content editor if you expect to use the system to send out any messages to customers.

We are enticing people to give us their email addresses so that we can more easily market to them and drive more sales.  I do like that you can structure a point system of rewards to best suit your business.  Some customers are motivated to make more purchases if it means that they will receive bigger rewards in the future.

Kangaroo rewards has made it easy to get customers to sign up as we can add them straight from the POS. This has streamlined the process for us and allowed the customers easier tracking of their points. We can now communicate with the customer easier via automatic emails and text messages. Being able to sync into our POS makes redemption easier to set up.

**What do you dislike about Kangaroo Rewards?**

One of the biggest downsides to the software is the need for the customer to accept receiving emails and text. A lot of them don't this, simply because they don't want to have another account they need to create and would like us to manage the account, which means we need to manually turn on these notifications for each user. This is not necessarily a problem with the software, but it is a big downside.

**Recommendations to others considering Kangaroo Rewards:**

Please remember there is a lot of time involved with getting this set up. So put time aside for this.

Tracking re4wards points for customer was a nightmare and membership cards didn't cut it fairly for all customers. Being able to use a point system for every dollar spent allows the customer a better return for their buck.

Easy to use system, unlimited terminals, we love the text advertising system

We had some text message issues in the past, but it was resolved within the day. There's a limit to the amount of text we can send.

It has allowed us to easily give rewards based on customer's purchases. We used to do the stamp cards and it was complicated and people lose their cards all the time, it was wasteful and time-consuming.

- dislike rewards display area (clients can't click on them to get the full understanding of the reward) we have to provide separate sheet for better understanding

**What do you like best about Kangaroo Rewards?**

I implemented Kangaroo Rewards loyalty program at my restaurant about 3 months ago primarily for the pick-up & go customer segment. We never had a loyalty program before and I was really impressed with how quick & easy it was to set-up.  Customers sign-in with their phone number at the cash and start collecting points. I am rewarding them with frequency on certain purchases and points / $'s on others. What I have really enjoyed is the ability to target customers based on their purchase history to send them special offers. For example, I now have my lunch customers' contact info and I try to send them a text offer 2 days after their last pick-up with a 2 for 1 deal or a free appetizer. I have seen my lunch customers triple their order frequency since I started using Kangaroo. I can even run contests for customers who place orders on our slower days (Mon - Tues) and have a raffle for gift certificates at the end of the month. I can honestly say that I get way more value from this program than my other local marketing promotions.  I can even reward the local sports teams I sponsor with special group offers! So, yes, I highly recommend. What I really like, is that once I automated everything, it only takes a minute to send out an offer when I want to promote something special.

It would be cool if they integrated with our reservation site so that I can reward customers for making a reservation.

**What problems is Kangaroo Rewards solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is that I have been able to increase my lunch pick-up orders by 300%. I am able to send targeted emails and texts to customers based on day segment, item purchase history (pizza vs salad customers and/or catering customers). I am able to give points for items purchased, points to dollars for sports teams who frequent, run contests and market new menu items and drink promotions. Our customers actually open their emails now!
