**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

Right out of the gate their support was, and still is, fantastic! The implementation was so super easy. Most of our employees are not what I would consider tech savvy. However, Lightspeed's initial training made it easy to get them up and running. Our course uses shotgun platform tee sheets and when we saw how easy it was to setup our tee sheet for the season we were able to save hours of work.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

The checkout process is somewhat cumbersome in my opinion, however they have taken steps to improve it so it is getting better, and faster.

Faster speed at checkout. Just that making the experience not only better for employees but our customers as well.

The user friendly interface for our staff is second to none. The reporting, especially the Business Intelligence makes those guessing game decisions easier and more reliable. And the customer support is by far the easiest I have ever worked with.

Have yet to find a feature that would hold me back from recommending the software.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

The tee sheet is so easy to use.  Reports in Lightspeed Retail are excellent with many to choose from to analyze my business.  The service from Lightspeed is outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

There are a few bugs that could use correcting.  If I modify a price on the tee sheet, I have to hit SAVE before taking a sale to Lightspeed Retail for payment.  I've had the occasional difficulty adding information to a customer's database.  For example, if I want to add a phone number to a customer already in my database.   If the number already exists in the system, I cannot find who it belongs to and can't add it to the customer I want.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

If you're looking for a very easy-to-use tee sheet and POS platform, Lightspeed Golf is a great way to go.  The customer service is worth it only.

**What problems is Lightspeed Golf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved the issue of using an iPad for my terminal to now using a large monitor, making it much easier and faster to process sales.  The tee sheet is straightforward to use and has a lot of features.  The cost of Lightspeed Golf is lower than the previous tee sheet software I was using.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

We have been using Lightspeed for two seasons now.  The software is very intuitive and simple to pick up for all staff with minimal training.  Support from Lightspeed for any issues is super prompt (minutes) and resolution is always quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

No real downside to Lightspeed.  There are a few places during transactions that some clicks could be removed (seems overly redundant at times) but we understand this is to ensure things are completed properly.

**What problems is Lightspeed Golf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team at Lightspeed is very proactive and asking if we need any help and offering solutions and software upgrades that we had not even thought we would need but turned out very helpful.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

I admire the company's progression when it comes to partnering up with other great platforms and offering that service at an outstanding price.  We Started with Lightspeed golf and retail and now have F&B, Quote Machine, Accounting integration, Loyalty Program and Ecom.  I have done my research and lightspeed is that 1 stop shop company that makes billing super easy and they have a great support staff to help you as well. Working with POS systems for over 20 years I'm so glad i made the switch to LS.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

1 downside would be you need 2 accounts if you are running a Beverage Cart and Restaurant.  It would be nice to have that integration all under 1 account for tracking and reporting purposes.

Lightspeed Golf is so easy to use for our staff as well as our customers through the online portal.

The integration between Lightspeed Golf and Lightspeed POS plus the automated payment system for House Accounts and memberships. The tee sheet is also user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

The inability to use dynamic pricing for golf including cart.
The issue of duplicate House Accounts not feeding back from Lightspeed POS to Lightspeed Golf House Accounts.

Automated payments for House Accounts and membership purchases resolve a number of issues for our bookkeeping department. Plus, the membership system and member portal function well.

The product is intuitive.  My staff can figure things out quickly and often without instruction.  And, when they don't know what to do, there are helpful tutorials and videos, or, a seemingly 24/7 chat function!

Nothing. I haven't had any major concerns with the product.

Make sure that you fully understand the reporting functions as they are essential.

Integration with our reporting and accounting systems is the best benefit we have realized, and a problem we solved before knowing we had a problem!  When we bought the business, we didn't realize our old golf software did not talk to our accounting software.  I'm so glad we switched!

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

LS Golf is progressive when it comes to introducing new features that boost operations in the Pro Shop. Their tee sheet is extremely powerful; anything a golf course wishes to implement is easy to do so with LS Golf. Price Sheets allow detailed separation of different player types, which helps implement pricing strategies. The chat feature is great for Pro Shop employees to have questions answered when a manager is not in or does not have time.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

There have been a few mishaps where the system goes down for short periods of time; this has been inconvenient when in the middle of a busy day at the golf course. There is an online event registration module that LS Golf has that could be improved.  It is not as seamless as golf courses would want it to be (ie. someone should be able to register online, pay with a credit card, and the sale then goes through separated into the necessary inventory parts in the back end of our system).

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

For courses looking to implement modern practices to their Pro Shop, LS Golf is the only way to go. They have the most powerful tee sheet in the industry, making it quick and easy for staff to make changes, check-in players, create events, etc. Lightspeed's commitment to introducing more features to add value to their software is an added bonus that makes the customer experience that much better.

**What problems is Lightspeed Golf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our tee sheet management has improved tenfold over the past few seasons. It is much easier to track golfers daily. Our reporting has gotten easier as well when analyzing rounds, memberships, etc. The use of LS Golf has allowed us to implement a new limited-round membership strategy with ease. Our members have gone from 25% online bookings to 90%+ booking online because of the simplicity and efficiency LS Golf offers when booking online.

Flexibility with Lightspeed is enormous.  We've built so many integrations, and you just won't find that type of flexibility with any other company.  It's a massive strength for Lightspeed.

Software development can be slow at times.  It is more tied to resources for the company and the ability to produce at a level that they want to.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

Understand that transitions to any new software aren't easy.  Ensure that those with software responsibilities have an open mind and willingness to work towards an end goal.  If you have this, then you will love the software!

**What problems is Lightspeed Golf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved F&B inventory management.  We're no longer reliant on a server and have flexibility by being in the cloud.  We have integrated and built a robust business intelligence tool.  We are close to an integration for accounting that moves us closer to real-time accounting.  We've modernized our customer experience when it comes to transacting and e-commerce.  We've built a lot in a short period, but it was Lightspeed's agility that made it all happen.

Lightspeed golf has the best support team.  Their responsiveness, knowledge and desire to get the issue resolved is far superior to any other software company.  If we have a product need that is not currently met by the software, the support team submits a request to the development team to place in the queue for future improvements.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

As a private course, there are a few public facing features in Lightspeed Golf which we cannot disable.  However, we have found ways to work around these areas.

Great team to help with onboarding, support readily available to answer questions and solve issues.
Statistical reporting is superior and more flexible than other golf management platforms.
The design of the tee sheets is adjustable based on the needs of the course.
Creating member profiles with the data necessary to run our business is key.

Nehoiden reviews the membership rates at the end of the season, and Lightspeed Golf is currently helping our course to renew memberships at a new rate from the prior year.  This automation will save a tremendous amount of time,

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

The best part of lightspeed is you can customize it in very different ways. It is a one-stop-shop for all your needs to take your operation to the next level, which you can't do with many other POS systems. Email marketing is my best source of reaching my customers. I can easily set up campaigns to keep the customers coming back. The customer service is second to none. I LOVE THE FEATURE where I can click a button and start chatting with tech support about various issues, mostly of my own doing haha.

I would like a few more features in adjusting my tee sheet, most notably distinguishing WHEN singles can book tee times.

If you are looking to streamline your operation and make it do the jobs of multiple people, this is the software for you.

It covers everything that any size operation would need. I came from a very large golf corporation to now being a one-man show and I still have the capabilities that I once had, if not more.

Intuitive tee sheet and easy to use platform. Ability to multi task is excellent.

House accounts are done separately (retail software and restaurant software), so billing can at times be problematic and tough to explain to members. Occasionally you have to resync data and house accounts are unavailable until this is pushed through but overall the software works for us.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

The accounting integration into quickbooks is my only real concern on the administration side. A better system for restaurant minimus would be ideal for us but I can overlook that for the overall benefits of the system.

The ability for members to seamlessly make tee times through the app or the one web page has helped to limit calls and allow us to provide better service in our face to face dealings

The only item I want to improve is on our end, not Lightspeed's end.  We need to move to a payment system that is fully integrated with Lightspeed.

I really enjoy the cloud-based features of Lightspeed golf. I constantly monitor and track sales and tee times through the tee sheet and POS system with my laptop, cell phone and desktop. Having access wherever I am to put out promotions, track sales and assist staff is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

As a 27-hole facility, I find that some features of the tee sheet, and booking widget for golfers lack ease of use. These concerns have been passed along to our account representatives with Lightspeed Golf. We look forward to future improvements to the booking widget so that we can make the booking process simple for golfers, and the interface more user-friendly for our staff.

Cloud-based access has allowed managers to handle any issues remotely, as well as troubleshoot discrepancies with our front-line staff. The benefits realized with this are improved accuracy with bookings and sales. Using the system within an ownership group that has multiple courses has allowed us to offer flexible and accessible packages across all golf courses owned within the group.

My only complaint has ever been the limited ability to be able to talk to a person by phone as opposed to Chats and Emails

Our front-line team members use it to book tee times, to check golfers in, to make sales, and to manage inventory and produce reports. In the restaurant and concessions, Lightspeed resto gives us a user-friendly functional system for the front of the house, back of the house, and administration.

What we enjoy the best is the easy-to-use interface between our third-party websites, such as Golfnow, our home website, and the member portal that allows members to book online instead of calling over the phone.

The most helpful thing with Lightspeed Golf is the usability/functionality. The interface is easy to navigate through and find what you are looking for.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

The most significant issue right now is that Lightspeed retail and restaurant do not 'speak' to each other, so purchases in restaurant must be manually cleared out to reflect the correct balance in the customer portal (in lightspeed golf). Customers are frequently confused regarding their balances because of this issue, in addition, the way the statements are presented to the customers is confusing, where we typically have to explain the charges and layout to them.

On the spot online help.  We have several issues that need to be solved quickly.  Also the event option is the best option with this software.  We can now do all golf events and leagues online and collect the entry money online.  This saves us a huge amount of time.

This software is better suited for a private club than a public club.  Too many issues and not very user friendly.

Have more problems than solving more problems.  Although the best part of this software is being able to create events and collect entry fees online.

We replace tee Sheet management by paper with lightspeed Golf 3 years ago and we gain time at the desk for other tanks as reservation ça be made online, by phone or directly at the desk. It helps us being present online for other golfers.

I do like that you can access it from anywhere just with an Internet Connection

I don't find the system user-friendly, especially for older members. It's not flexible enough to customize to each business's needs.

I cannot think of any problems that Lightspeed Golf has resolved for me. I do appreciate the easy access of the system.

Guests and Members can easily book tee times online, this allows guests and members to book tee times when the Pro Shop is closed

Long wait times on the calls, filter options could be improved, such as adding filters by transaction types like cash or visa.

Use lightspeed for member's house accounts and inventory. Tracking individual items is easy. Helping customers view their tab's is also nice.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

The ease of setting up player types (members, seniors, juniors, etc.) and having associated contact information is simple and quick. Also, those customers can then make tee times online using the website or the mobile app - which is great for customers to manage their golf without the need to make a phone call or come into the clubhouse.

Additionally, processing online payments or keeping cards on file for over-the-phone payments has been extremely useful during the current health climate. A lot of customers seem to prefer it as it saves time and gets them on the course golfing more efficiently.

Also, the different integrations and the color-coding of the software makes things a breeze for golf course staff to use the software.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

Sometimes the platform can be a bit slow as it sends tee times to the payment processing, but the card reader is very quick... so it's not the end of the world with that. I do prefer reading documentation/tutorials as opposed to watching videos, so that can be a drawback for some.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

If you are willing to work hard to provide a better experience to your customers, Lightspeed Golf (aka Chronogolf by Lightspeed) is a great solution that can be scaled from simple to complex as needed. The staff is always willing to help through their support channel and consistently releases updates that are beneficial for both public and private courses (not just the private club aspects like house accounts/food and beverage/etc.)

**What problems is Lightspeed Golf solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple golf courses with shared golfer accounts/information to better understand our business. We have saved money as it's affordable and the reporting can let us view things at a course level, some of the courses or all of the courses. This allows us to make intelligent decisions on our day-to-day business and in turn, grow our revenues.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Golf?**

I like that it is cloud-based.  I can access it anywhere or on any device that runs Chrome. It is also really fast when using the software.  

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Golf?**

The software isn't quite as robust as other competitors out there.  But they are updating the platform continually so it is just a matter of time until they catch up will all the features as full fledge tee time platforms.  However, don't get me wrong this tee sheet will run circles around other tee sheets in terms of speed, simplicity, and innovation.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Golf:**

I would say with anything make sure you have the software set up precisely when you start.  You can always change things around but having it set up the right way gives you a great foundation for using the software.  Those thinking about switching I would do a comparison and see if it makes sense for your business since not all operations are the same.  I haven't regretted the switch.  There were a few pains in the beginning but I think that would be present no matter what system we switched to.

We are able to manage our tee sheet in an efficient manner that is user-friendly to both the pro shop staff and the customer.  We have been able to more easily push special offers out with this platform.
