## Jira Reviews
 ### 1. Empowers Project Management with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun T. | Sr. Techno-Commercial Consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like almost everything about Jira. I find the flexible workflows very appealing because we can design our own workflows easily as per our needs. The clear and transparent picture of project progress is helpful as project progress can be easily tracked with a timeline and the stage of completion with reports. Bug tracking and handling are simple since bug logging is straightforward, and it gets assigned to the responsible team member. Overall, it's simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There’s not much to dislike so far. It is doing its job pretty well.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira manages the full project lifecycle, making task assignment and tracking easier. It enhances team management and handles project deadlines. Bug tracking is simple, with bugs assigned to responsible members. I appreciate the flexible workflows and clear project progress tracking with reports. It is time savvy on a day-to-day basis.

 ### 2. Jira Brings Structure and Clarity to Every Project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhi B. | Assistant Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What stands out most about Jira is how effectively it brings structure to work that would otherwise be scattered across emails, chats, and spreadsheets.

Jira is especially strong at turning “work in progress” into something structured. Tasks, bugs, and feature requests are all tracked as individual items with status, priority, and ownership. That makes it much easier to see what’s actually happening in a project at any moment.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel overwhelming at first. Between issues, epics, workflows, boards, and filters, new users often struggle to understand where things live or how everything connects. Even experienced users sometimes need training to use it effectively.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest value Jira provides is structure and visibility for complex work. Instead of relying on scattered updates and informal tracking, everything becomes centralized, trackable, and measurable.

 ### 3. Efficient Tracking Tool for Agile Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariam A. | Senior Software Development Engineer, E-III, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is how flexible and customizable it is for managing different types of projects. It makes tracking tasks, bugs, and progress very structured and transparent across teams. The integration with other tools and detailed reporting features really help in improving productivity. Overall, it keeps everything organized in one place and makes collaboration much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and cluttered, especially for new users. The UI isn’t always intuitive, and simple tasks can sometimes take too many clicks. It can also become slow when handling large projects or heavy configurations. Overall, there’s a bit of a learning curve before it becomes truly efficient.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of managing tasks, bugs, and project progress in a centralized and structured way. It helps track who is working on what, ensures accountability, and provides clear visibility into timelines and priorities.

This benefits me by improving team coordination, reducing miscommunication, and making it easier to manage workloads efficiently. It also helps in quickly identifying blockers and tracking progress through reports, which improves overall productivity and delivery speed.

 ### 4. Best-in-Class Workflow Management with Clear, Centralized Project Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jananisree T. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It is best for workflow management, sprint plannings, gives great visibility for team about the work item progress. It is a centralized place for project tracking, maintain timelines for deliverables and keeps everything well organized and traceable in place.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It is complex for new users; pages may sometimes load slowly and when dealing with extensive backlogs it causes latency issue. the pricing can be more expensive when adding multiple integrations.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines Agile practices like sprint planning, backlog grooming and release tracking. We can also maintain confluence in Jira to document all our work-related details similar to a blob also we can share it among multiple users for their references and interact each other in comments.

 ### 5. JIRA’s Configurability Makes Our Workflows Fit Perfectly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris T. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Honestly, the best part about JIRA is the configurability of the application. We're able to appropriately set up the flows and steps we want and not have to just deal with an out of the box configuration.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes the platform can run slow and updates can take a while. It isn't all the time but from time to time it does happen.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest things JIRA helps us with is keeping track of the amount of time we're spending developing on certain products. We utilize an integration with Toggl so time spent on each task is automatically synced to the ticket allowing us to easily keep track of how long it takes for us to implement a feature or a fix.

 ### 6. The Backbone of Every Team I've Ever Onboarded

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Salman I. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Sprints are easy to track, Rovo AI and its experience is so refined. I can just navigate seamlessly, and track all of my key performances across multiple teams!!!

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI has gotten more click-heavy with recent updates — simple tasks now take more steps. Performance slows noticeably on large boards. Pricing scales steeply for bigger teams and key features sit behind premium tiers. Non-Atlassian integrations can feel brittle. AI assistance is still surface-level; smarter workflow suggestions would unlock real ROI.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira brings all support requests and onboarding tasks into one place, eliminating scattered emails and missed handoffs. New team members get a clear, structured view of what's needed from day one. SLA tracking and automated ticket routing mean nothing slips through the cracks — onboarding is faster and support is measurably more accountable.

 ### 7. Issue Tracking & Product Management using Jiralexible, Powerful Workflow and Issue Tracking at Scale

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** manik p. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The best thing about Jira is how flexible it is for managing real-world workflows. Custom workflows and issue tracking at scale make it easier to stay on top of work, and the visibility across tasks helps keep everything clear.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The downside is that it can become overly complex if teams customize too much or don’t maintain hygiene properly.
Jira is powerful for project and issue tracking, but its main drawbacks are complexity, learning curve, and maintenance overhead. Without proper workflow governance, it can become cluttered and difficult to manage

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve issues around task tracking, collaboration, and workflow visibility. It centralizes project activities, improves accountability, and helps teams manage Agile delivery efficiently. For me, it benefits productivity, prioritization, and communication across teams."

 ### 8. Jira Brings Structure and Transparency to Project Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan D. | Senior System Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is how it brings structure and transparency to project tracking. It helps break down complex work into manageable tasks, prioritize clearly, and track progress in real time. I also appreciate the strong support and growing AI features, which make workflows smoother, reduce manual effort, and help teams stay aligned and deliver more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One downside of Jira is that it can feel complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. Setting up and maintaining workflows can take time, and performance may slow down with large projects. Sometimes the interface isn’t very intuitive, and too many features can make simple tasks feel more complicated than they need to be.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the challenge of keeping projects organized and visible across teams. It centralizes tasks, priorities, and progress, which reduces miscommunication and helps everyone stay aligned. This benefits us by improving planning, speeding up delivery, and making it easier to track issues, collaborate efficiently, and respond quickly to changes.

 ### 9. Robust Project Management with Some Complexity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel D. | Global Talent Acquisition, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira's flexibility and visibility. The platform makes it easy to organize and track work through customizable Scrum and Kanban boards, which provide a clear view of project progress and team priorities. I appreciate the ability to customize workflows, issue types, and dashboards to match our team's specific processes. The reporting and analytics capabilities are standout features, with sprint reports, burndown charts, and dashboards helping us monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and make data-driven decisions. Jira's integration with tools such as Confluence, GitHub, and Slack is extremely valuable because it keeps project management, documentation, development, and communication connected in one ecosystem. Overall, Jira provides strong transparency, collaboration, and project control, making it easier for teams to stay aligned and deliver work efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

While Jira is a powerful and highly customizable platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The biggest challenge is its complexity, especially for new users. With so many features, settings, and configuration options available, the learning curve can be steep and it may take time for teams to become comfortable using it effectively. Performance can also be an issue in larger environments with many projects, custom fields, workflows, and automations. Boards, dashboards, and complex searches may occasionally load slowly. Additionally, while Jira's reporting tools are useful, creating highly customized reports often requires additional plugins or external tools. Another area for improvement is notification management. Users can sometimes receive a high volume of notifications, making it difficult to focus on the most important updates. Simplifying administration, improving performance at scale, and providing more intuitive reporting capabilities would make the overall experience even better.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to manage projects, track tasks, and streamline Agile workflows. It centralizes project updates, reduces communication gaps, and enhances visibility. Jira's reporting tools help identify bottlenecks and track team performance, keeping us organized and focused on efficient project delivery.

 ### 10. A one stop product, project , task management solution for tech, product team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit J. | Product Manager, Insurance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Mostly i like about jira is it's flexibility and and scalability. Me and my team able to preform multiple work flow like Product development, bugs and task tracking and also able to bucketing the tickets in task, bugs, story etc.

Here we are able to create detailed ticket with clear requirements, attachments, ownership and timelines and accordingly plan the sprints. its completely a agile tool and can easily integrate with slack, github or other tools.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

As a product manager Jira is the top most recommendation and there is nothing to dislike. Also advise people to use it before going to any other tool

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's significantly improve the alignment b.w the my tech and product team and improve the organisation efficiency. this is perform like a one place where all the task, bugs tickets, feature requirements are available in a organised manner. This helps us to plan our project sprints and tacking of it that support us in our timely product delivery.
A complete product and task and time management tool for a product and tech person particularly.

 ### 11. Flexible, Powerful Project Management with Custom Workflows and Smooth Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdelaziz A. | Flutter Committee Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is how flexible and powerful it is for managing projects of any size. Being able to create custom workflows, track tasks, and visualize progress with boards and reports makes it much easier to stay organized and keep work moving forward. I also appreciate how smoothly it integrates with other tools we use, so our project information stays connected in one place instead of being scattered across systems. Overall, it helps the team collaborate efficiently and makes it less likely that anything will fall through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike most about Jira is that it can feel a bit complex and overwhelming for new users. Setting up workflows and understanding all the features takes time, and sometimes the interface can be confusing if you’re not familiar with it. It’s very powerful, but that also means there’s a learning curve before you can use it efficiently.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira is solving the problem of keeping projects and tasks organized, especially when working with multiple team members across different projects. It helps us clearly track progress, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines so nothing gets lost or delayed. By using Jira, we’ve improved team collaboration, reduced confusion about who is doing what, and gained better visibility into project timelines, which ultimately saves time and keeps everyone aligned.

 ### 12. Jira: daily organization of tasks and issues, easy and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira on a daily basis to organize tasks and projects, and also to report issues to other teams. As a Support Manager, I find it very useful and, moreover, it is very easy to use because its design is simple and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I don't like is that sometimes it gets stuck. Also, when I have to move an incident, "mass update" always appears, and that delays everything.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal organization and interdepartmental communication. It is very useful for me to have greater visibility of the work and collaborate more smoothly with the different teams.

 ### 13. Strong Ticketing and Dashboards, but SSO/MFA Locked Behind Higher Pricing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira works well as a ticketing and bug-tracking tool. Our team can collaborate easily on issues and project work. It also provides excellent dashboards that give quick insight into the status of tasks and projects. It’s simple to comment on tickets, change the status or assignee, and close them, and it’s just as easy to open new tickets when needed. I also like that you can follow issues to receive notifications and emails whenever someone updates them, and you can “star” issues to keep a closer watch on the ones that matter most. Implementing Jira is quick and easy from the start. Migrating from another ticketing system would likely be more difficult. I use Jira daily. It's also easy to integrate with Confluence for documentation.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira doesn’t support SSO unless you pay for a more expensive license. In my view, vendors shouldn’t charge extra for SSO or MFA, since these are basic yet critical security features.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps my team manage our day-to-day tasks through tickets, and it also helps us track our project work using dashboards.

 ### 14. Jira Keeps Ops, Incidents, and Deployments Organized with Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gunjan S. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

jira plays a very important role in managing day to day operational work lilke deployments, incident tracking and infrastructure tasks, it helps to keep everything organised in one place. i like that we can track deployment task and production issues clearly using tickets, when there is a production issue or outage, we create a Jira ticket and track all updates, logs and fixes in the same place, this make troubleshooting easier. also. its boards are useful for managing sprints based work as well as ongoing Devops tasls. we can track what is in progress, pending and what has been completed.. also the integration with other tools like Github is useful, we link code changes, deployment updates, and monitoring alerts with Jira tickets, which helps to maintain proper traceability. it give a powerful performance in projects. and its new AI features are amazing.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

sometimes it feels a bit heavy for quick operational tasks, creating and updating tickets for small fixes may take extra time. also workflow configuration and permission can be complex and may require admin support/

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solves the issue of unorganised tasks tracking, earlier many DevOps tasks were handled through chats or emails, which made it difficult to track issues and maintain history. with Jira every deployment , incident or infrastructure change is documented properly. this helps in better tracking , faster troubleshooting and maintaining records for future reference. it also improves coordination between DevOps ,development and support teams as everyone can see updates in the same tickets. Jira is reliable and essential tool for me and my team. it is very useful for maintaining structured DevOps operations. its drag and drop feature is big plus for me.

 ### 15. New Feature Implementation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitin G. | Data Scientist, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the new AI-powered capabilities in Jira, especially assigning work to AI agents and getting automated updates. Features like smart dashboards, natural language insights, and the “For You” page make task tracking easier. Also, free guest access and better integrations improve collaboration and reduce manual effort significantly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira has improved a lot, but there are still some areas where it can get better:

Simplified UI – Many users still find it complex with a steep learning curve, especially for new users.
Better reporting – Built-in reports can feel limited and sometimes lack flexibility for advanced analysis.
Performance issues – Large projects can experience lag or slower response times.

Overall, improving usability and performance would make it more efficient for daily work.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves project management and task tracking challenges by organizing work into clear, manageable items. It enhances team collaboration, ensures accountability, and provides visibility into progress through dashboards and reports. This helps us meet deadlines, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changes, ultimately improving overall productivity and project outcomes.

 ### 16. Organized Workflow with Visual Ease, Minor Formatting Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allison W. | External Relations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how in Jira I can categorize work by type or epic, and it's easy to visualize with its minimalist design. I also like how I can drag a task, issue, or story into the Epic and move them through different phases. It helps keep our backlog organized and prioritized.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Maybe its formatting, sometimes it looks a bit funny when I save the copy on each card. I have to spend time fixing the spacing and bullet points. The spacing and bullet points don't always save/look correct. Especially copy/pasting formatted text into the cards.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to create tickets for our team, keeping our backlog organized and prioritized. I like how we can categorize work by type/epic, and it's easy to visualize with a minimalist design. I can drag tasks into Epics and move them through different phases.

 ### 17. Jira Keeps Our Tasks Tracked and Team Workflow Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjivani B. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira helps me keep my tasks properly tracked and manage tickets and other work items. It also helps me design a clear workflow, like understanding the current status of my task and how much time it takes to complete. Since my team is connected in Jira, we can work together smoothly, and my manager can easily assign any task to me. It also helps the client keep proper track of the project.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes, when there are too many tickets and everything feels overloaded, it becomes difficult for me to manage my tasks. I get confused about which ticket is the current one, and tracking tickets date-wise also seems complicated to me. Also, having different workflows for different projects is frustrating sometimes.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without Jira, managing tasks becomes much more frustrating. For every small task, we end up having to call, chat, send emails, and so on. Scheduling a meeting every time also becomes frustrating, because we spend more time on emails, chats, and calls than on the actual work. With Jira, it helps us track status, keeps everything in a single flow, and makes it much easier to handle.

 ### 18. Essential for Task Management, But Can Be Complex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunil P. | Lead Documentation Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira to track all our tasks and clearly see who is working on what. It helps us plan our sprints and understand what work is coming next. We report bugs and follow them until they are fixed. I appreciate the simple board view, which lets us quickly see the progress of our work. Jira keeps all our tasks and bugs in one place, which means nothing gets lost or forgotten. The status of each task is easy to see, removing confusion and reducing unnecessary messages. I like that we can customize fields and workflows to match how our team works. The clear visibility and control over our projects help us stay organized and aligned. The setup and workflows were as easy as it gets.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel complex for new users, with many options and settings that make it hard to quickly find what we need. It would be better if some screens were simpler, more user-friendly, and loaded faster, especially when working with many issues and projects.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira keeps all our tasks and bugs in one place, helping us avoid losing track. It improves planning and visibility, reducing confusion and bettering teamwork. We easily track task status and progress using its board view, ensuring timely delivery and organization.

 ### 19. The OG Task Management Standard—Affordable, Flexible, and Integration-Friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon K. | Simon Kaltgrad - CEO / Technical Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It's the OG task management system and more. The web interface when saving could be more responsive (async), but it is the standard for waterfall and agile task management. I have been able to use it at no cost of most of my needs. With a larger team, it was very affordable per user. I have integrated many third-party applications. The rules and integration can do it all, but sometimes need a bit of patience to get it right.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Task saving speed. Should be async. Need simple alternative views out of the box.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task and user management. Quantify speed to product and team performance.

 ### 20. Clear, Up-to-Date Workflow Tracking That Keeps the Whole Team Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratham C. | Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The performance and overall workflow are clearly tracked and kept up to date for the team, so everyone has a better idea of the current status.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes it presents a very technical way of implementing filters, which can be difficult for someone who doesn’t have in-depth knowledge of how to use this Jira platform. Because of that, it’s hard for them to navigate and set up what they need. A good solution would be to have some AI integrated that can help apply the commands I want when working with filters.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, transparency and cross-team collaboration become easier because everyone can get the same idea at the same time, which is really helpful.

 ### 21. Highly Customizable Issue Tracking for Agile Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shashank K. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Customization: It’s highly configurable, allowing teams to adapt workflows to their specific needs. Issue Tracking: It offers a central platform for organizing, tracking, and prioritizing tasks, bugs, and other issues. Agile Management: It’s widely regarded as a strong tool for planning and managing projects using Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Collaboration: Jira helps connect teams and move work away from disorganized spreadsheets and email threads, keeping everything in one place.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The interface can feel overwhelming for new users, and there’s a steep learning curve when it comes to mastering the more advanced configurations and workflows.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves critical business problems related to project management, team collaboration, and workflow inefficiency by providing structured issue tracking, Agile framework support (Scrum/Kanban), and customizable workflows

 ### 22. Jira Keeps Project Tracking and Team Collaboration Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mihir M. | Sr. Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira the most because it keeps project tracking, task management, and team collaboration organized and transparent. The customizable workflows, sprint planning, and reporting features help teams stay productive, meet deadlines, and manage work efficiently in one place.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One drawback of Jira is that it can feel complex and overwhelming for new users due to its many features and configurations.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me solve problems related to task tracking, project visibility, and team coordination by keeping all work items, updates, and deadlines in one centralized platform. It benefits me by improving collaboration across the team, making progress easier to monitor, reducing communication gaps, and helping us deliver projects more efficiently and on time.

 ### 23. Unified System with Customizability, Needs Better Search Function

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent T. | Corporate Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how customizable Jira is, as it has made it easier for us to create different workspaces for different teams without having to compromise on our specific needs. The built-in security functions are also appreciated, as Jira supports the latest security protocols like RBAC, SSO, and SCIM.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The search function is borderline useless. Our previous system allowed us to find things based on keywords, but now we basically have to know the ticket number to find the previous tickets. Despite its customizability, I wish it could present a more simplified view for teams that don't need every box checked. The initial setup was also bad because we did it ourselves.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira unified our systems for knowledge articles, tickets, and development tracking, improving our asset management. Its customizability lets us tailor workspaces for different teams, reducing compromises. The security supports all latest functions like RBAC and SSO.

 ### 24. Excellent for Team Work & To‑Dos Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maurice K. | UX/UI Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Organizing your work and todos in a team is obviously the best aspect about Jira. I wouldn't know how to properly do that without it.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

At times, Jira can feel a bit cumbersome to use, especially when I’m trying to access certain features or actions. Some of these options are placed in spots where I wouldn’t expect to find them, and the layout can feel inconsistent from one area to another.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps our team organize, coordinate, and plan our work. We can map out what we want to do in the future and make sure we don’t forget important to-dos that aren’t relevant right now but may become important later. For the work we’re currently focused on, it gives us a clear overview of what still needs to be done, so the tasks feel manageable rather than overwhelming. It also makes it easier to track progress across the whole team.

 ### 25. Indispensable Project Tracking with an Intuitive UI and Kanban Boards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig A. | GM & CTO APAC, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira has become an indispensable project management tool for our coding tasks. It lets us quickly see the status of tasks, the interdependencies across other work streams, and the overall progress of the project. The UI feels intuitive, and the Kanban boards make it easy to understand the status of work at a glance. The mobile application has also become indispensable for our team.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI can feel cluttered when I’m working on larger, cross-team projects, and the licensing model can make it prohibitively expensive to deploy across the organisation.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps our development teams stay aligned and track our Agile development process. It also enables our support and senior management teams to clearly understand the status of project development, identify any impediments in the pipeline, and manage our deployment process more effectively.

 ### 26. The Structured Powerhouse: Why Jira is the Gold Standard for Complex Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash S. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

JQL (Jira Query Language) is an ultimate search tool. It lets you run precise queries to find exactly what you need across thousands of issues, which makes data reporting incredibly granular.

Deep traceability links the entire development lifecycle. You can follow a single task from the initial requirement all the way to the specific line of code and the final deployment.

Robust automation, with its "if-this-then-that" engine, cuts down on manual "busy work." It can automatically assign tickets, keep parent/child statuses in sync, and trigger alerts based on specific logic.

For enterprise scaling, features like Advanced Roadmaps help leadership see how dozens of different teams are tracking toward a single goal, and they make dependencies visible before they turn into blockers.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira is only as good as its admin. Its biggest strength—nearly endless customization—can quickly turn into its biggest weakness when the setup is over-engineered.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira tackles information fragmentation by centralizing the entire development lifecycle. It solves four key problems:

Siloed Communication: It replaces scattered emails and spreadsheets with a single source of truth. Every code commit and design tweak is linked to one ticket.

Invisible Bottlenecks: Through dependency mapping, it reveals when Team A is blocking Team B before the deadline hits, allowing for proactive scheduling.

Manual Overload: Its no-code automation handles the "paperwork"—auto-assigning tasks and updating statuses so developers can focus on actual coding.

Lack of Accountability: With data-driven reporting (like Burndown charts), it provides an objective view of team velocity, removing guesswork from project planning.

How this benefits you:
It transforms project management from a reactive "firefighting" mode into a predictable, scalable machine. You gain total transparency, fewer status meetings, and a clear historical record for audits or future planning. By automating the mundane, it ensures your highest-paid talent spends their time solving problems, not updating tickets.

 ### 27. Excellent Agile Task Tracking and Customizable Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** TR.SHANTANU B. | Internship Activity Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira provides excellent task tracking, Agile project management, customizable workflows, and real-time reporting. It helps my team stay organized, collaborate effectively, and track project progress from planning to delivery.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira has a steep learning curve, can be complex to configure, and may become slow with large projects. Some advanced features also require higher-tier subscriptions.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me manage projects, track issues, and coordinate team tasks in one place. It improves visibility into project progress, streamlines collaboration, and ensures work is completed efficiently and on schedule.

 ### 28. Versatile and Easy to Customize for Changing Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arno S. | Manager, software; scrum master, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

One of the things I like about Jira is its versatility and the ability to make edits and modifications easily. when the system is up, it performs well. we have an internal support team to handle issues.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of the things I don't like about Jira are some of the required fields. They may not be pertinent. But the UI is helpful in getting through it

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira provides an adaptable way of tracking work and effort. However, there needs to be an agreed upon and consistent approach

 ### 29. A Reliable Platform for Managing Product, Tech, and Client Issues in One Place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saloni J. | Client service manager, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Everything appears in a single pane which avoids confusion and helps track all updates in one place. There are no side tickets or scattered threads, so the entire discussion, attachments, and activity history remain visible within the same ticket. This makes it much easier to understand the full context of an issue without searching across multiple threads.

Re assigning ticket is very simple and quick. If a request reaches the wrong team or requires additional expertise, it can be reassigned within seconds. This ensures requests reach the correct owner faster and prevents delays in resolution.

The priority levels such as Low, Medium, and Critical make it easier for the product or engineering team to identify urgent requests. This structured prioritization helps teams quickly separate operational issues from normal feature requests and address time sensitive matters more efficiently.

The ability to paste images directly into tickets is extremely convenient. Screenshots of errors, dashboards, or logs can be shared instantly. This helps explain issues clearly and allows technical teams to diagnose problems faster without requiring lengthy explanations.

The workflow visibility is very strong. Each ticket clearly shows its status, owner, priority, and activity history. This transparency helps teams understand exactly where a request is in the process and reduces the need for frequent follow ups.

The comment and tagging system improves collaboration across teams. Team members can mention specific individuals so the right stakeholders review the issue. This keeps discussions centralized within the ticket instead of scattered across emails or chats.

The search and filtering capabilities make it easy to locate past tickets, track similar issues, and review historical resolutions. This helps teams quickly reference previous work and avoid duplicate investigations.

Ease of implementation is another strong point. The platform allows teams to start using structured ticket management quickly with configurable workflows, custom fields, and permission settings. Organizations can adapt the system to their operational process without needing heavy development effort.

Customer support resources and documentation are very helpful. The support materials, guides, and community forums provide clear explanations for common configuration or workflow questions, making it easier for teams to troubleshoot and optimize usage.

The platform is used frequently throughout the workday because it becomes the central place for tracking requests, reporting issues, and coordinating with product or engineering teams. Having a single operational hub significantly improves visibility and efficiency.

The dashboards and reporting features help teams monitor ticket volumes, response timelines, and recurring issues. This helps identify operational patterns and provides insights that can improve internal processes.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One improvement that could make the platform even more effective is clearer and more descriptive ticket statuses. For example, statuses such as Almost Done, Pending Last Leg, Approval Needed from Tech Team or Senior Team, In Progress with Maker, or In Progress with Checker would provide better visibility into the exact stage of the task. This would help client service managers quickly understand progress and communicate accurate updates to clients without needing to review the entire ticket conversation.

The interface can sometimes feel overwhelming for new users because there are many fields, options, and configurations within a single ticket. This can make the learning curve slightly steep for teams that are using the platform for the first time.

Ticket forms can occasionally contain too many required fields depending on how the project is configured. This can slow down the process of raising a quick request, especially when the user only wants to report a simple issue.

Navigation between multiple projects or boards can take time to get used to. When several projects exist within the workspace, finding the correct queue or board may require additional filtering.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Client Servicing Manager, Jira plays an important role in helping me manage and track operational and client-related issues in a structured way.

Jira provides a centralized platform where product, technology, engineering, and client-related queries can all be tracked in one place. This reduces scattered communication across emails or chats and ensures each issue has a clear record, context, and ownership.

It also creates accountability, since every ticket has an assigned owner, a priority level, and a status. Teams can quickly see who is responsible for resolving a specific issue and what stage the request is currently in.

For critical incidents or urgent client issues, raising a Jira ticket ensures the matter is formally logged and prioritized. This helps the relevant technical or product teams respond faster and makes it less likely that anything important gets missed.

Jira improves cross-team collaboration as well. Because product, tech, and engineering teams work in the same platform, discussions, updates, and troubleshooting steps stay documented within the ticket, helping everyone remain aligned on progress.

From a client servicing perspective, Jira helps me track the full lifecycle of an issue from the moment it is raised until it is fully resolved. That visibility makes it easier to provide accurate updates to clients and manage expectations.

The ability to attach screenshots, logs, and detailed descriptions also helps technical teams understand issues faster. This reduces back-and-forth communication and speeds up resolution.

Overall, Jira improves operational efficiency, transparency, and response time, which ultimately leads to better client support and smoother coordination between internal teams.

Jira integrates well with Zendesk, which helps our team convert customer complaints or incidents directly into Jira tickets for the product or engineering teams. This ensures that client issues move quickly from support to the technical teams responsible for resolving them.

Creating a ticket in Jira is very quick and straightforward. It usually takes less than 30 seconds to raise a ticket, which helps ensure that issues are logged immediately without delaying the investigation and also allows me to clearly explain the issue by adding detailed descriptions, screenshots, and supporting information. This helps my product or engineering teams understand the problem faster and start working on a resolution without unnecessary back and forth communication.

 ### 31. The ultimate powerhouse for tracking complex, cross-functional operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Afzal M. | Operations Manager Crypto, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

As an Operations Manager coordinating across both technical and non-technical departments, Jira's workflow customization is unmatched. I love how deeply it integrates with our existing tech stack (like Slack and Google Workspace) to automate updates and keep our distributed team completely aligned on complex, cross-functional initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The learning curve is notoriously steep for non-technical users. If you don't enforce strict governance and board hygiene from day one, your workspace will quickly turn into a cluttered, unmanageable mess of endless custom fields. It almost always requires a dedicated internal administrator to keep things running smoothly as the company scales.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the massive problem of siloed communication in a distributed tech company. It acts as our absolute single source of truth for complex product rollouts and operational upgrades. It benefits me by providing instant visibility into bottlenecks and resource allocation across multiple departments without having to chase people down on Slack.

 ### 32. Simplifies Team Tracking but Lags in UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farheen S. | Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like that Jira makes project task tracking easy and keeps everything organized. It’s straightforward to use and lets me see what’s going on right away. I also appreciate how it helps me quickly understand what work has been completed, what’s still pending, and what’s on the “to do” list. The initial setup was easy and went smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira doesn’t update in real time, so I end up refreshing it over and over.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps me track tasks, manage sprints, and keep our team organized. It makes it easy to see what’s in progress, what’s done, and what’s still to do, as well as assign work and track issues and bugs as they’re resolved.

 ### 33. Jira Helping Manage the Team Spirit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Om Prakash S. | Lead Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The task import facilities and the Jira Dashboard are my topgo features. I like how easily we can connect our Active Directory to give the teams access to the Jira and entire Atlassian Product.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Some fields are not automatically refreshed, like when I use the sidebar to assign some task, the UI is not updated in the List view by default and needs to be refreshed before the changes are reflected.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira is helping us from Product Discovery to Product Release, we connected our GitHub with Jira now the issues and the CI/CD automatically gets reflected in the Jira, making the team informed about our Agile Metholodology easy and open to all. This is helping to build the team spirit.

 ### 34. Jira Keeps Complex Projects Organized with Flexible Workflows and Clear Progress Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanka R. | Process Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is how effectively it helps teams stay organized and collaborate on complex projects. The ability to track tasks, manage workflows, and visualize progress in one place makes project management much more efficient. I also appreciate its flexibility — whether using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, Jira can be customized to fit different team needs. The integrations with other tools and detailed reporting features also make it easier to improve productivity and transparency across projects.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One thing I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and overwhelming, especially for new users or smaller teams. The large number of features and configuration options sometimes creates a steep learning curve. In some cases, workflows can become too process-heavy, which may slow down collaboration if not managed carefully. Additionally, performance can occasionally feel slower on large projects with many integrations and customizations.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves problems around project tracking, task management, team collaboration, and workflow visibility. Many teams struggle with scattered communication, unclear responsibilities, missed deadlines, and lack of transparency across projects. Jira helps centralize work by allowing teams to organize tasks, track progress in real time, manage dependencies, and collaborate more efficiently across departments.

This benefits me by making it easier to stay organized, prioritize work, and keep track of project progress without relying on fragmented emails or spreadsheets. I also benefit from the visibility Jira provides because it improves communication, accountability, and coordination within teams, especially on complex or fast-moving projects. Features like customizable workflows, reporting dashboards, and integrations with other tools help improve productivity and reduce confusion.

 ### 35. Highly Customizable Workflows and Powerful Dashboards in Jira

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mani J. | IT Support and Operations Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira brings structure to chaotic work by standardizing how tasks are created, tracked, and completed.
It allows strong control over permissions and roles, which helps manage teams securely.
The ability to track every change and action gives full accountability.
Its flexibility makes it usable across multiple departments, not just IT.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Initial setup is complex and requires proper planning, otherwise it becomes messy fast.
Too many configuration options can overwhelm admins and lead to inconsistency.
Users often need training before they can use it effectively.
Basic tasks can feel slow due to too many required fields or steps.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira eliminates scattered communication by keeping all work in one system.
It improves accountability since every task has an owner and status.
It reduces delays by making dependencies and blockers visible.
This leads to better coordination, faster delivery, and fewer missed tasks.

 ### 36. Customizable Project Management with Easy Workflow Design and Strong Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a great tool for managing projects and tasks in a customizable environment. I like that it has integrations in Teams and can work with other apps as well.
It was easy to design workflows that functioned well with basic features.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It could be easier to use, especially when it comes to the more advanced features. Some of the customized options require a lot of prep work before you can actually use them, such as creating schemes. It would be nice to have stronger customization available out of the box.

We also ran into cases where some items we wanted to add didn’t fit any of the available field options, so we ended up putting that information in the comments section instead. It would be helpful to have a few more niche field types available for situations like that.

The built-in notifications are wonky and don't display the right info or enough. Control over the notifications is limited. We often get a lot of unnecessary notifications for field changes we don't care to be notified on.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The projects coupled with automation has helped organize projects and assign tasks and track them.

 ### 37. Improve the tracking and visualization of your work projects with Jira's collaboration features.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen C. | Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is one of my favorite digital programs for tracking and visualizing the performance of all my work projects in collaboration with all the members of my work team because it offers the best virtual performance capabilities in its class, making it easier to achieve all my professional goals.

In addition, I can also say that Jira is a program that guarantees a continuous and productive workflow among all members of your work team, promoting active communication and collaboration among each of the users of its features.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have nothing bad or negative to say about Jira's digital capabilities, I think it is a program that offers remarkable and efficient performance for all types of professional environments.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira has given me the technical resources and benefits I needed to improve the digital visualization and tracking of all my professional projects, facilitating the fulfillment of all my business objectives and actively collaborating in the commercial interests of my organization.

 ### 38. Fantastic for Tracking Team Workload, Productivity, and Managing Sprints

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate S. | Senior Director, Infrastructure and Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The ease at which it's possible to get a sense of the workload and productivity of my teams via Jira is fantastic. It makes it incredibly easy to manage sprints and to get a handle on how much tech debt there is to manage, which is a big part of my job.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

While it has improved over the years, the Jira UI still has eccentricities such as button clicks or keystrokes that either don't register or catch up so you end up with accidental ticket modifications. Atlassian also tends to roll out UI "enhancements" without much notice, so you can have days where you have to completely re-learn where your usual tasks are found.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira is our go-to project management system, for both long-term, complex software products, as well as daily task-oriented areas such as the IT help desk and Infrastructure.

 ### 39. Great UX, Powerful JQL Filters, and Helpful AI for Writing User Stories

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eeshan S. | Senior Business Analyst Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The UX is very good, especially with the new UI changes. The filters and JQL capabilities make the tool easy to search for almost anything, although there is a learning curve. The integration with Slack and other tools is interesting and helps share stories and information snippets, making it easier for users to understand key details without actually opening the page. Performance is decent, and onboarding is also easy. The AI support while writing user stories is quite good as well. The new AI assistant can find tickets that are relevant, but it can be difficult to find what you need sometimes. Overall, the ROI of the tool is good.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There isn’t an easy way to review previous sprints, especially for people who don’t have access to reports. The reports that are available feel very generic and don’t allow for customization.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management tool to help streamline the processes specially with the way it organize the work backlogs. This is a industry standard tool and it is very good

 ### 40. Seamless Notifications, Smooth Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu D. | Analyst, Global service centre, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how Jira is simple and easy to navigate, which made the initial setup smooth and hassle-free. Its integration with Slack and Gmail is particularly convenient for me because I get real-time notifications whenever there's activity or response on a ticket. This is great because I'm not always able to check Jira, so being notified when the right person responds is really helpful. I've been using Jira for over 5 years now, and it's been easy to get used to. I would definitely recommend it since I never had issues navigating and learning the software initially; it's pretty comprehensive.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes, only sometimes it is hard to select the correct category for which to raise the ticket.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to escalate technical issues and raise queries related to company policies or informations which are not so clear or present in the knowledge base.

 ### 41. Jira as a Daily Productivity Hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen R. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is no longer just a project management tool; it is becoming a productivity platform. As we move toward an AI-first way of working, I have started leveraging AI agents and AI-assisted workflows alongside Jira to accelerate analysis, documentation, issue investigation, and solution delivery. The combination of structured work management and AI-powered assistance has significantly improved efficiency and decision-making.

Jira has become an essential part of my daily routine—much like a tool you rely on every day without thinking about it. It is the central hub where planning, execution, collaboration, and innovation come together.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It’s frustrating having to purchase any new feature for the entire company, even when not everyone uses it.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for project management, sprint planning, and task tracking.

 ### 42. Automates Workflows but Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok D. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I've been using Jira for sprint planning and issue tracking across dev teams. Its custom automations are a lifesaver, and the GitHub integrations are great. I love how everything connects, like linking an issue to a PR, and it updates automatically, saving time. The moment a PR gets merged, the issue moves on its own without needing manual updates or status changes.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The onboarding is tough to be honest. New users can get overwhelmed and trying to figure out the interface may take a week or two. Too many options are thrown at once in the onboarding process. A proper guided tutorial or walkthrough will help a lot. Honestly not the smoothest, took a week to get everything configured the way we wanted. The GitHub and Slack integration needed some trial and error.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for sprint planning and issue tracking with custom automations that are a lifesaver. Its GitHub integration and automatic updates of issues when PRs are merged save us time and reduce manual status changes.

 ### 43. Industry standard for a reason-and a cost

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aadish O. | Club President , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It integrates with everything your stack uses. Even when you hit 50+ people across multiple teams, Jira is the rare tool that does not collapse. The filtering, custom workflows and permission systems actually work at scale.

The reason it has an upper hand is because, it can handle hundreds of users and complex workflows without the system breaking. Also tracks every change for accountability

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It has a steep learning curve. The kind where, even after months, people still can't find the basic features. The UI is a maze of nested menus, and simple tasks require knowing which of 3 places to click.

Performance is genuinely sluggish, not suitable for small teams. Jira is known for spam notifications. People can tune them but even that is a bit tedious to do, so they just learn to ignore them.

Also, the mobile app is barely functional

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Jira, managers get real time visibility without interrupting people. Every change is logged with timestap and names. When a feature breaks in production and leadership asks the reason for shipping the feature, you have receipts as proof.

When 4 teams need to ship together, version tracking and release planning prevent distasters. It links deployments to the tickets that went out.

 ### 44. Well-Organized To-Dos and Confluence Docs, Plus Rovo AI for Faster Drafts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saif M. | Ph.D. Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the way the to-do list is organized for both the team and for individuals. Also, I love Confluence for documenting my work. I recently started using Rovo, the AI feature, and it’s great for quickly completing my draft descriptions of my work.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The integration with Slack and Git isn’t very smooth. Also, I can’t reference a Jira ticket directly from my Claude Code terminal interface, which makes the workflow less convenient.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task tracking, documentation, progress reviews, and keeping a clear view of the current status of work, while also communicating effectively with the team.

 ### 45. Jira Simplifies Project Tracking and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soni B. | Senior Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

One of the most helpful aspects of Jira is its ability to efficiently track, manage and organize tasks, bugs, and project progress in one place.
The major upsides of using Jira include improved team collaboration, better workflow visibility, customizable boards, real-time progress tracking, and seamless integration with development and testing tools.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One downside of using Jira is that the UI can feel cluttered and difficult for new users to navigate. Setting up workflows, dashboards, and integrations may require extra time and training. Jira can also become slow with large projects, and managing notifications or permissions can sometimes reduce overall productivity.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps solve project tracking, task management, and team collaboration challenges by providing a centralized platform for workflows, bug tracking, and sprint planning. It improves visibility into project progress, enhances team productivity through integrations and automation, and supports better decision-making with reporting and dashboards. The ROI is valuable as it reduces manual tracking efforts and improves delivery efficiency. Jira's AI-powered suggestions and smart features also help streamline issue management and prioritization.

 ### 46. Essential for Agile Teams, But Needs Better Dependency Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaishali G. | Senior Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like using Jira for managing tasks, tracking bugs, and monitoring progress during sprints. It helps keep an organized workflow and improves team collaboration by providing clear visibility into project progress and priorities. The easy and simple interface is a big plus, allowing us to efficiently track stories and bugs while saving time. This interface makes it easy for the team to quickly update progress, manage priorities, and collaborate better during sprint cycles. I also appreciate the integration with other software like Confluence, GitLab, and Teams, which helps keep each task organized and easy to track for documentation and communication.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Sometimes when we have cross-team dependencies, it is difficult to manage that scenario. So, a more streamlined reporting and dependency tracking would be helpful.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for managing tasks, tracking bugs, and monitoring progress. It helps keep an organized workflow, improves team collaboration, and provides clear visibility into project progress and priorities.

 ### 47. Easy-to-Use Jira That Keeps Requests Tracked and Teams Accountable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gowtham R. | Associate Manager, Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

One thing I like about Jira is how easy it is to use, and how it helps ensure requests are properly tracked while also holding people accountable.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There’s really nothing for me to dislike about Jira. It’s a great tool, and it has solved a major problem for me by making it much easier to follow up with the IT team on both software and hardware issues.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira helps in a lot of areas, such as software and hardware requests, new-hire onboarding checklists, and tracking whether tasks are acted on in a timely manner. Many HR-related and HRIS-related queries are also addressed through Jira. Overall, it helps us solve problems in a more standardised and consistent way.

 ### 48. Jira Keeps Our ML Experiments Organized and Cross-Functional Work Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal K. | ML Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira helps me to organize experiments, track model development and coordinate with cross functional teams, i create tasks for dataset preprocessing , model training and evaluation and assign substasks for hyperparameter tuning , features engineering or testing, the ability to attach, datasets, experiment logs or notebook directly to Jira ticket keeps all related files in one place, integration with Google workspace allows me to link docs or sheets with experimental results and share them with client seamlessly. sprint boards and kanban view makes it easy to monitor ML pipeline progress , track blockers and plan next steps for model development. its our daily drive tool in workflow. we use Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Gemini daily.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

sometimes Jira feels heavy for small experiments ,. creating multiple subtasks for iterative ML experiments can be slightly cumbersome, advance automation features require setup and occasionally third party plugins.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solves coordination and tracking problems across ML workflows, instead of tracking experiments and tasks manually, i can see the status of each dataset, model and evaluation in one centralized system, it improves team collaboration , reduces miscommunication between ML engineers, data engineers and product teams, and ensures timely completion of milestones, tasks and blockers are visible, making sprint planning and progress monitoring much more structured. it is indispensable for managing ML projects with multiple moving parts, it enhances accountability, keep documentation and datasets organized and streamlines collaboration between data ,ML and product teams, while it can be slightly heavy for small experiments, the benefits far outweigh the minor setup complexities.

 ### 49. Jira: A Great Platform for Sprint Tracking and Team Workflow Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fátima S. | Senior Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

i've been using Jira professionally for almost 10 years now, because most companies i worked for rely on it. as a developer, i find it very helpful to manage my own tasks, follow what my teammates are working on, and keep track of progress during each sprint. i also think it's a great tool for tech leads to organize the teams' workflow and for creating release pages to communicate updates clearly with the business team. overall it's a great platform for team organization and project management

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

one thing i would mention is that, as with any very complete platform like Jira, there can occasionally be small usability "hiccups", for example comments not submitting on the first try. that said, it's usually easy to retry and continue without losing much progress. another aspect is that the interface can feel a bit complex at the beginning, since it offers so many features and customization options. however, once you used to it, that flexibility becomes a big advantage, because you can truly adapt Jira to the way your team works

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of organizing and tracking work in software teams by centralizing tasks, progress and communication in one place. for me, it makes daily work much easier by helping me manage my tasks, see what my teammates are doing, and stay aligned with sprint planning and releases

 ### 50. A perfect CRM tool for your organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shah Nawaz K. | Product Support Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Integratibility to 3rd Party tools
Features and Plugins Offered
Customer Support
Easy to maintain and Bug free as well as easy to use
Integrating and Implementation is too good

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There are as no such downside, but when we create projects in JIRA, it creates a lot of confusion when we again try to find it.
Lots of features are beneficial but it creates lots of confusion as well.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From logging the issue to resolving the issue, each and everything is trackable on JIRA ticket and we are using this for the same purpose. We can track SLAs of the ticket, to the SLAs of the individuals who are working on the ticket.
