For a team with limited IT support, I&#39;d want a library system where cataloging updates don&#39;t require someone with technical training to maintain, since that&#39;s usually where the ongoing burden actually lives.

&lt;p&gt;I’d also look at what happens during the few technical tasks librarians cannot handle themselves, like imports, authentication changes, or a broken integration. With almost no internal IT, vendor support effectively becomes part of the operating model. Response quality on those uncommon but disruptive issues may matter more than having another layer of features.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Yes, the thinner the IT support, the more I’d favor a cloud-hosted system with strong vendor support and simple admin. Atriuum or Alexandria feel better suited to that setup, while Destiny makes more sense when a district has enough scale and support to use its broader feature set.&lt;/p&gt;
